It is hard to draw any conclusions because these are 2 different banjos but you may hear a bit of boldness in the Maple and a slightly different tonal depth in the mahogany.
Love the maple, great sound, the audio wavers a bit but it might be RUclips or my Internet, take it for what its worth, most likely not much. Then what else can you get for 2¢ now a days.

I have to agree with you Tom… unusually muddy audio here.
I am not happy with the audio. It sounds wavering to me so take it for what its worth- not a lot.
