When I was a kid, my mother listened to this show. I came out when I was 18 and I suffered greatly at the hands of Christian propaganda like this. This therapy is not backed by the medical community because it doesn’t work and causes harm. They can pretend they aren’t forcing anyone to do this but the child’s family is and it’s deplorable. Also his claim about gay people in general just aren’t backed by studies.

I definitely agree, I never felt like I fit in with other guys growing up. I never really had a good relationship with guys, so i ended up being friends with girls, which is not the same. I am also sensitive and more of a gentle type of masculine, but have been called a sissy or gay, when I don't see myself as that.
I think reparative therapy was outlawed because many of these therapists were abusive themselves sadly. We need more proper christian therapists like this one.
Just coming back here after a like 6 months and just wanted to point out the misleading information here. When studies conclude (as these two charlatans say) “there isn’t a gay gene” this does not mean being gay is not genetic. A singular genetic trait needn’t be reducible to any single gene for it to be genetic. There is no tall gene, or short gene, or fat gene, or skinny gene… nor is there a bald gene or a smart gene… there’s not a blue eye gene or green eye gene or brown eye gene… but all of these are genetic or epigenetic. Genetic expression is a complex interaction between multiple genes and sometimes environmental factors too (hormones, diet, etc). So to conclude that because there isn’t a singular gene that maps to being gay is both to misunderstand genetics at a profoundly outdated level (we’ve known genes don’t work like that for a very very long time) it’s also just outright an attempt at deception. These two men are attempting to lie to you.
I'm not sure if it works, but I'm sure if the person is willing they can learn to overcome the temptation. But like you said its not a light switch. I am happy that you don't force these kids into it.
Glad to see Dr. Nicolosi Jr. taking on the mission and legacy of his father. Dr. David Pickup has experienced in his own skin the transition. His voice has authority in the topic!
If you want to be gay be gay but stop forces others to stay in a life that they aren’t happy in. Live your life and let people live theirs. Heal me o lord and I shall me healed. Choose Life. Be blessed.
