    Finally! I just bought one of these ovens at a thrift store because I've wanted it for a long time but didn't want to drop the cash for it. I snatched it up really cheap. REALLY cheap. So I figured I couldn't lose. This thing is bomb so far. I'm sick of the dainty, wannabe gourmet recipes I've been seeing because I like a good steak with home cooking. Your video finally gave me an idea of what I can do with some beef. My brother and I can put down some steaks because you know how we men need that "vitamin Beef."

    Hey FYI that probe that you are using to temp your meat is meant to stay in the meat while it’s cooking. It has a heat resistant wire connected to the probe so you can put it in a roast or anything while it’s in the oven, and you know while it’s cooking exactly what your temp is.
    Also I would suggest removing the meat 10* prior to your desired temperature, cover the meat with foil for about 10 minutes and it will continue to cook and rise to your desired temperature.

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  5 лет назад +4

      Yes, I know the probe can remain in the entire cook. I am also knowledgeable of _carry over heat_ . My methods were my intentional choice.
      Watch more of my videos. You will see I change it up. Doing different ways at times, by my personal preference. Also, see my _D Grill_ Channel: RUclips.com/c/DGrill

  • @YoungHeartedSoul
    @YoungHeartedSoul 6 лет назад

    I finally treid the Nuwave with some beef. I found that this oven doesnt like thin beef. Looking at your video I think NuWave oven cooks thicker steaks much better as they are able to keep the juices in. Another issue too is that you cant sear the steak to seal in the juices and after the beef is cooked you will notice a ton of juice on the bottom drip tray. I think the best way to do a t-bone would be to first sear it on a very hot thick pan and then finish it off on the NuWave oven. That's just my take on any meats that are thin. the issue is that the steak sitson the grill, and as it cooks all the juices will just drip down. I was wondering how that steak would fare if it were to be placed at the very bottom of the drip tray so it cooks in its own juice.

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  6 лет назад

      The point of the NuWave Oven, is that you don't eat unhealthy fats. It was designed to have the juices drip off, so you don't eat the fatty juices. So you're trying to defeat the design of the NuWave Oven.
      You could just cook it in a cake pan on the upper rack.

    Ok, so that took 20 minutes. The meat looks dry and all the rendered fat is drained. What's the advantage of this device over, say, a frying pan?

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  6 лет назад +3

      Not dry at all. And for health concerns drained fat is an advantage.
      Also, the NuWave Oven uses less energy than conventional methods.

    • @sk8rdad
      @sk8rdad 6 лет назад

      If you're worried about health concerns don't eat meat at all. FWIW, your body actually needs animal fats to be able to absorb vitamin E and K and A which are essential for good health. If you want to eat healthy eat fish like Salmon or Tuna and shrimps and clams. 1 clam has 2 grams of protein and 0 fat. Eat avacados for the monounsaturated fats which are good for your joints.

      Overcooked for *you* . It's really something, that some folks feel everyone must eat the degree of doneness that _they_ prefer.
      That steak is good and it is for you to enjoy yours your way.

    I like your videos but had to thump down, A1 never goes on a steak.

      Proof people thumbs down for petty reasons, not the actual quality of the video.
      Whether or not I like to cook my streaks with A1 is a minor matter. But I think that most people realize they can cook the steak in whatever they prefer and the guidance for timing and display of results is more important.
      As for myself,. I have cooked a whole lot of steaks a whole lot of ways. And when doing them in a cooker like the NuWave Oven, the A1 brings out a very nice flavor.
      I will Thumbs Up myself, because I know it tastes good 👍🏿😋.

      Why do some people feel it has to be cooked their way or it's some horrible thing? All the anti-well done harping crowd really need to get over yourselves. Different strokes for different folks. I can tastes the meat and flavor. A well done steak _done right_ is a delicious thing.

      I am eating the steak, that means I can enjoy my steak the way I want it.
      If I wanted to follow a crowd, I would not have my own RUclips Channel. If you like it their way, they have plenty of channels for you to enjoy.
