INFPs are often seen as angelic figures in the typology community. But, there is another side to them, a darker side. Here is what I think the archetype of INFP villains look like.

    My daughter is INFP.
She is kind, creative, and has her own sense of morals. But once you cross her morals you are the enemy of the world 🔪🌍

Interesting. I'm an INFP and my mother is an ISTJ. We learned a lot from each other. The older I get, the more I admire how she never lets her emotions get in the way of her longterm goals. In return, she is still fascinated by how quickly we can read people and know things before they happen.

@@IsaFaust-vt4qp My daughter and I really "bond" with over the fact that we are both "left" on the political spectrum. I'm not your stereotypical ISTJ.
She is more of an SJW ,where I am more economically and politically behind the scenes, crunch the numbers type of guy.
Sometimes I feel like I'm emotionally dead being around her because she has such a passion and fire when she gets going. It's honestly a hard combo but once you find common ground it gets a lot easier.

That is quite telling. Keep praise her and appreciate whatever she said/made/give. INFP will stays the same person. They can be best ally and more genuiene. No hidden motives/plot. But if you cross the line, that is when INFP become dangerous.

@@lovewho “Pirates of the Caribbean” is always worth rewatching :D Jones is not the classic infp one would expect and yet his revenge/actions are deeply personal. Despite having cut out his heart he still ponders moral questions ("But I wonder, Sparrow...Can you live with this? Can you condemn an innocent man, a friend to a lifetime of servitude in your name while you roam free?") and shows/feels emotions (tear and plays the organ when he feels sadness and pain). Bill Nighty characterized him as emotionally "deeply damaged". He never got over the pain of Calypso's breach of trust and since then he doesn't grant love and a happy ending to anyone else either. For example: I can't see logic in him stabbing Will Turner, for example, other than "What I couldn't have, you shouldn't have either."

One thing to point out is that the empathy coming from an Fi stems from placing themselves upon the situation of someone else without taking into account the distinctions. The implications of it suggests that if a person truly becomes their enemy then there will be nothing but apathy.

    • @ParteniaAjmaq
      @ParteniaAjmaq 4 месяца назад +5

Generally FI users are using sympathy, instead of empathy, in long run it may be even better thing for recipient (if they expect something more deeper, than just instant validation). When FI is lower in stack than dominant, we can (even in average darkness), still provide help, or support to person who we disregard.

I think Magnifico in Disney's Wish is a good example. His New get to cut up in how it would be bad for people, to make their dreams come true, so he denies his people that joy. At first sight of joy and wonder in his people, he goes full evil, and gets too focused on stopping it, from a misinformed understanding on the greater good.

Klaus michealson from tvd and the originals came to my mind when you described an infp villan. His actions are always motivated by his emotions and his revenge plans and schemes have a personal touch. He always blames people for 'betraying' him and has his own justification while having little to no consideration for the consequences.

INFP character that I admire in Anime (Gaara from Naruto Series). He is resonate with me. Always being hated. Always being alone. Always being misunderstood. Only being used by people. Even parents not even care. Just treat me as "investment plan". Being introvert isn't evil but the society make us the baddie.
As a kid, easily corrupted. The anime guy being villain in everyone story. Unless you know pain or open minded, then you know INFP isn't the bad one. The system is corrupt. Older generations set us up. Blame on us. I never want to be born. I wish to be disappear. Not want to burden anyone. Life is cruel. No more tears left. So I hate people always thinking and said INFP is cry baby. No. Why must crying anyway? Only those who have "real parents" can cry. That is what my adopted mother said to me (when I was a kid). It is enough to destroy my whole life. I am nothing. Not lucky to be born.
Regardless. The system set me up. I am not talented. Not pretty or rich. Just average. I will never reach higher position and that is not what I want. Being able to get simple life is enough.
Buy what I can. No need validation from others. Enjoy solitude until the day I left.
People think that I am depressed for being single. But nope. It is better. After suffering, I like to be alone. The mbti test stay the same. I am INFP.
But it is not bad. Just look at Gaara. He can be happy. I believe everyone has their own place. No need to be in top position. Just enjoy the moment and simple life. But mome keep said that I am stupid (ENTJ). I am the failure.
That is why I left. I am the villain in other people story. As always.

Championing or leading any type of vigilante or inquisitor group fits the INFP villain type, but probably in a less hands-on role.
Basically, what happens is that the INFP becomes convinced that not only do they have a rare fixation on morality but that few others care the way they should and that it’s their calling to arbitrate as the one who actually grasps the nature of right and wrong.
While I think the Phantom of the Opera does fit in that he is motivated by emotion and a sense of personal righteousness, he’s also possibly too calculating to be an INFP. Sweeney Todd is definitely a better match because he rationalizes his quest for revenge as a moral quest within society. “We all deserve to die… For the lives of the wicked should be made brief; for rest of us death would be relief.” He’s also only somewhat calculating - he has a plan vaguely but mostly just waits for his real target to happen across his path.

I dont think this MBTI shit is accurate if the best they can come up with to explains someones villainy is "deeply personal trauma". Because I think thats the only true motive for villainy in general.
MBTI is missing a key component which I assume the creators intentionally overlooked.
Its to avoid calling half the personality types unintelligent.
Its that every Extroverted person is Introverted, but not every Introverted person is extroverted.
Every iNtuitive type is Sensing, but not every Sensing type is iNtuitive.
Every Thinking type is Feeling, but not every Feeling type is thinking.
Every Judging type is Percieving, but not every Perceiving type is Judging.
You get it now ? These Indicators do not describe separate types.
They are more of a skill point system.
Go ahead, try out to overlay this knowledge with MBTI. You will see all of it make much more sense.
Why some types appeal to some more than others makes perfect sense, because some need help to up their skill points, but others dont.
