- Benny Andersson is Swedish composer and musician best known a member of the Swedish supergroup ABBA. Together with Björn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad, and Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson dominated 1970s radio waves as a member of ABBA.

He is, by any measure, a prodigy. His keyboard matches a classical pianist. And his music is phenomenal, matching the likes of Cole Porter, Lennon/McCartney,
etc. Songs such as KNOWING ME KNOWING YOU are simply timeless.
Benny is EXTREMELY talented, as is Björn. I know most ABBA fans are around for Frida and Agnetha, but the guys are underrated!
@@TheFridaFan abbasolutely agree fridafan. whilst it would be fair to say that the majority of their hits have been sung by either agnetha or frida {or indeed them both combined} and thus creating the sound of abba, they argualby would not have had the same world wide success {perhaps} if they hadn't have had the phenomenal backdrop of these two exceptional fellas writing such perfect songs, as this posting clearly shows.
the musicality of them is outstanding. and now i've learned that he is self taught - incredible.
all four combined created a legend of a band, the likes of which this writer considers second to none.
they are long overdue to be inducted into the hall of fame, and i can only hope that that will happen soon to see all four of them together accepting that honour.
they are four earth angels who have left a staggering collection of masterpieces for the whole world over.
what joy they've given to sooooooooo many.
how much better a legacy could you ask for?

Frida also wrote a couple songs following ABBA. Though she didn't read music (as did Agnetha), she had formal vocal training from a respected opera singer. When she performed on TV after winning a singing contest, she sang in several octaves (to those critics who claim she doesn't have the range of Agnetha). She is no fluke, but she rarely gets the credit she deserves.
Maybe if she were blonde.

She has a girlish beauty and is unquestionably a first-rate vocalist.
Agnetha is an essential part of ABBA. Of this, there is no question.
But the lion-share of her fan base are Latinos and middleeasterners, for whom blondes are a priority, which has as much to do with her popularity as her singing. Frida is a classically sophisticated beauty, though five years Agnetha's senior.
She was absolutely essential to ABBA, and (despite what many Agnetha fanatics claim), did the lead singing on their most popular songs.
As one who reads hundreds of posts and comments, I can assure you many of her fans think her to be every bit as talented as Agnetha.
Furthermore, a very great number think she is even more beautiful than Agnetha, including some who have met both in person.
