Here is a tutorial of how I made these easy favor tags for a baby shower. I designed them in Cricut Design Space printed them and cut them out with my Maker. Hope you enjoy this video and learn how to make your own tags!

@@DMOREL11101 I would definitely give it a try. The Explore Air does not read registration marks on color paper and the Maker does.

Go big or go home just buy the Maker 🤣 it’s better to have the extra features of the maker in save you need them instead of getting the Explore and then realizing you want to do more. Not that you asked for my opinion but there it is lol

This was great! If I print on a colored cardstock, would I keep the tags white or make them transparent so it won’t print out white?
I believe I have done them white when I do color cardstock. Or transparent if you can.

You design it on Cricut. Then print it on your home color printer. Then put it on the Cricut mat so the machine cuts it out.

Thanks. Just a home printer. I like HP brands personally but do some research if you want. Just load cardstock instead of copy paper. 😊 hope it answers your question. Otherwise find me on Instagram

Hey how are you ? i’m having trouble. Your instructions are super clear and easy to follow and the tip for better works great! I can see a difference. After printing for some reason the cricut won’t cut the tags out any tips ? I even attached the USB.

So I have a Cricut explore 3 and I am wondering...did you use a regular printer first to get the colors for the tags and then used the Cricut to cut the shape?
Hi. Yes! Once you send it to cut the system will guide you on printing it on your printer then load it on to the mat.

How do you turn the Cricut mat around because mine looks so small and it’s on the smaller side of the sizing mat
It’s sideways so it fits on the camera but I put it in the regular way with the Cricut letters on top or bottom. Unless I misunderstood your question let me know what you meant.

Did you attach the bow to the elephant? I wish you would explain the commands step by step I'm new to Cricut and I can't seems to get my hang tags correctly😭😭😭😭
You don’t have to attach anything because once you are happy with how it looks then you select everything and click “Flatten” and it becomes one image. Sorry if it’s not clear but you can message me on Instagram if you need more help. @unacraftyteacher

Once it’s sent to cricut did you use the markers to put the picture onto the card stock ?
No. It prints on your printer and then you put the printed paper on the mat and your Cricut machine will cut out the tag with the image and words on it. Just remember to select all and flatten before sending it to cut.
Can you download and print it like at office depot?
If you want to design them in a different program and cut them by hand yes otherwise it needs to be on your home printer so the Cricut can cut them

Did you get the flowers from Etsy too?
Yes it was part of the set. Like 4 jungle animals, vines, leaves and flowers. I believe the Etsy shop link l is in the description.

I’m so lost… I made the tag but when I move it around and make it ready to make it doesn’t show the lettering it shows it on another template
Can you show us how to get the images? For example the flowers and vines.....I'm hoping to make a butterfly baby shower themed tag but not sure how to acquire the images
Hey! I bought the images on Etsy. It came with some zoo animals, the flowers and vines. Just search watercolor butterflies and see if the price is good for you. Otherwise search watercolor butterfly png on google.

does the cricut joy automatically print in color? like i can just upload my image & it’ll print it in the colors of my image?
So the Cricut machines do not print. When you want to print it will send it to your printer and then you load it to your mat to cut. And I don’t think this is doable on the Joy.
I know some people are saying this is too fast but I followed along just fine and I am a beginner as well. You guys could also slow the speed down in the settings :) I would love to know which Etsy shop you got these graphics from!
Thank you Dayara I don’t know how to tell them without sounding rude lol I’m glad it worked out for you. The Etsy shop is called Star Jam for Kids. This set has other jungle animals and greenery as well.
how did you cut the circle to make a hole on the tag please?
It shows it on the video within the first minutes. Insert a circle and use the slice tool. Or find a tag that already has the hole

i got lost on the welding the letters part.... how'd you hit shift and get all of them?
Oh no! You can hold shift and click on each letter ( zoom in to help) or hold shift and select each letter on the layers section on the right side of the screen. Hope it helps otherwise message me on Instagram if you’d like. 👩🏽🏫
After you made the square
How do you make sure the tags are aligned ?
I thought I had shown that part. So select all the tags in one column vertically and align left. The icon comes up when you select two or more items on top next to arrange. Once you do the columns then select two at a time horizontally and “align top” each pair. Hope it makes sense. Either way the machine will cut them no matter how misaligned they are as long as you stay within the rectangle otherwise it will tell you it is incompatible. Let me know if you need more help. ☺️

@@keishascott2545 Hello. I usually get svgs off Google I’m not sure if you have seen my video of layering (Belle) but if I can’t find them online I buy them on Etsy. Just read the reviews because some could be bad quality.

How do you put the text back to normal after ungrouping them, please?
You click on the font and go to the top left where it says operation and switch it to “basic cut” instead of “print then cut” then you would have to flatten again so it prints

Yes! Once you send it to print the Cricut will do it’s thing. I have a video on print then cut in case you need more info. 😊

Hi Ana. I purchased the images set on Etsy the shop is called Star Jam for Kids and the set is called African Friends 😊 so the flowers and leaves are in that set

The black font is “Century” and the pink name is “Victoria” and you can download it on Dafont.com 😊
I bought a pdf from Etsy can I use it to make it in to tags?
No pdf is not supported for uploading. What’s the pdf about? You can take a screenshot and upload that that’s why I’m asking what it is.
After I click “make it” it takes a while to load and now it’s saying sorting project into mats by color… Is that supposed to happen or did I miss a step?
Yes it does take a while to load unfortunately that’s a design space issue that happens a lot. As long as you flatten the whole thing it should be good to go. You can always contact me on Instagram if you need more help. 😊

When you flatten it sort of disappears doesn’t it? How did you get the image to show again?
Yes it does disappear for a second. It is not coming back up? Sometimes design space has issues so always save your project in case you have to restart the program

What was the size of your label when you resized it?
It was 3.5 in width by 6 in height and I realized it to 3 inches in height and the width turned out a little over 1 inch

It’s white cardstock 65 lbs and I made them on Cricut Design space on my laptop as shown in the video. Unless you have an iPad then you get the Cricut App and design there. Not sure if that’s what you meant?

What if I already have the tags how do I print on them ?
If you have tags cut out you can write in them with pens using the Cricut or print a sticker label and put it on the tag. It’s how I would do it

@@palomagaldino8555 sometimes it has happened to me so I flash a light on the machine while it is reading the registration marks specially at night. Once I restarted design space and printed a new paper and tried again
Does anyone else have an issue where some of the context is missing when printed? It happens to me all the time and I am not sure how to fix it. I tried making tags but not all the tags printed the same. They all printed different, missing a word or an image. Hopefully someone can help me with this.
I’ve had that issue before and have heard of it. Unfortunately that’s a Design Space issue that Cricut continues to have.
I really hope they find a way to fix that issue. I've wasted so much paper

I can’t get how you did the print rectangle 😭
Insert a square from the shapes and resize it to W: 6.75 and H: 9.25. Send it to the back and fill it in with as many tags or whatever you’re making. Let me know if you got it 😊
@@UnaCraftyTeacher is this the only size we could use? or is this the standard size to use if we're using 8 1/2 x 11?
@@tania5013 it is the biggest size to use to get the most out of 8.5x11 paper. But if you cut one small image then you can use a small sheet or scrap. If your printer prints 12x12 you can only print as big as 6.75x9.25. Hope i made sense.

Well I have an HP DeskJet 3636 and I always print on settings quality “Best” on cardstock. I like how it prints and if you’ve seen everything I’ve printed it’s on that printer. 😊
