I recently stumbled on your channel and wow, your videos are insanely helpful. I wanted to learn to use SS optimally on my disc, and your video about raid healing made me increase my HPS by around 3k. I still have a lot to improve on and my main issue is timing the ramp, and look what video that I found to help me with that issue too :)

This is so helpful! I'm a first time healer (who chose Disc Priest lol) and always feel unprepared during dungeons and raids no matter how much studying I do before a fight. Gonna transfer my studying into BigWigs specific things like you mentioned here which should help me quite a bit. Thanks for the video!

Simple but super informative. I had messed with fonts, bars, sizes etc, but hadn't dug into the actual alerts to customize them yet. SUPER useful, I feel dumb for not going through all of BW lol

I just wanted to say that your tutorial was terrific. Have always been using DBM but I have never been able to easily customize it to my liking. For what it is, it works, but for people who want more BW is pretty awesome. Keep up the videos, next up I will be checking out your key videos :)

What about the infobox configuration ? Like the fight on Sir Dena, instead of having "5 persons got more than 3 stacks" it show who exactly is over 3 stacks.

For bar texture I use "Flat" which can be used by downloading the "SharedMedia" addon. Once you have this addon, you get additional texture options in elvui

Wondering, is the flashing screen something I can disable, or is it only for testing purposes? I haven't raided yet but don't want to have trouble during raid time.

If you notice the flashing screen during an encounter, simply go to that boss in the BigWigs settings, and find the ability that is causes it and uncheck the "Flash" box.
It shouldn't happen very often by default
This was such a great guide, instant sub! I am wondering is there a way to count down when an ability becomes x seconds to cast? For instance, to count down a ramp timer to go 5... 4... etc. 30 seconds ahead of an ability being cast? Thanks in advance!
No way of doing that as far as I'm aware in bigwigs. You would need to make a weakaura for something like that. Bigwigs only has the 5second countdown

Understandable, some people like those notifications. (and they can still be used in bigwigs)
Hey Moar :D I am a fan and I have a very important question that I cannot figure out! As a discipline priest I need to ramp with spirit shell like 20 seconds before some important boss spells. Is it possible to change the countdown of very specific spells and not every single one from let's say 10 seconds to 20 or 30 seconds? Because I would really like to be prepared for some spells like wave of blood on shriek :) Thanks
You can disable the seperate bars settings in the Emphasized bar settings to see more of the timeline if that helps. Otherwise dm me on discord if you need to clarify what you are looking to do

What do you think of the voice pack addons for abilities? I think bigwigs has this too where you’ll get a vocal alert like “stay away from lines”. Helpful or excessive ?

How did you get the extra sounds like diva from Overwatch .. I don't have those sounds did you import them from somewhere else.

There will be some text / chat based warnings.
- /bw to open bigwigs settings
- Find boss ability
- Unchecked "Say"
There should be a chat bubble next to the checkbox if there is anything your character will say in chat.
Again it's not super common but there are a few

This would be super helpful. It’s hard to know without playing the fights what to prep for and it’s hard to find information online. Would be nice to know what abilities in raid/dungeons to pain suppression or ramp for. Thanks!
I'm long time dbm user and i switch to bigwigs as asked by my raid leader but i don't understand the different meaning about the sound configuration like info/long or what is the difference between alarm/alert ? Could you give me so tips thanks :)
What frame texture option is the castbars and raid frames? I tried to find the exact same very vibrant class color bar textures, but i cant. It is not "solid", or "clean". If you could help me out, i would be grateful!
It is called "Flat"
Download the "SharedMedia" addon and you will find "flat" textures as an available option on all your other addons like elvui

Is it possible to start a test run for a specific boss? I‘ve often the problem, that the config is not optimal.
I really like BW. As a tank, I can ignore most of the boss abilities and it is easy to config it light weight and clean.
Unfortunately not, youll just have to jump into LFR/Normal/Heroic or just adjust it on the fly when you are at the boss
i'll always stick with DBM because that guy managed that addon free of pay for nearly 10 years on his own, and basically carried the game during that time. then teamed with EJ so not sure what happened between then and Patreon existing to allow his to manage that addon full time. my 1 and only issue is that it doesnt have spec profiles.
Am trying to figure out how to make my regular messages start with an uppercase letter instead of just plain all lowercase (not emph messges ofc) cause it's triggering my ocd :(
Hm, I'm not sure. Perhaps use a font that doesn't use any lowercase letters

hello great video. I would like to know if you can help me . I just started to Off tank raids . I have problems with my big wigs to see or tell me when its time to taunt off of the main tank. its hard for me to see the debuffs. Or do you know something to help me . Thank you .
I would recommend using this weakaura: wago.io/dfcotank1 (Be sure you have the "Weakauras" addon installed too.

Any chance i can track Oppressive Atmosphere on council of blood ticking DOT debuff if its not tracked on Big wigs cause i wanna try to track it and try make a shell ramp i checked the logs and some discipline priests with spirit shell are trying to ramp on big amount of stacks on maybe they just pop it every minute on cd on that boss... might be wrong
Generally you can just ramp towards whenever the active boss is 60% / 10% HP since thats when your raid will be at highest stacks since its just time based. But you can try this weakaura I believe it has a stack tracker in there wago.io/slraid1

Does anyone know how i can track cooldowns of trash abilities in dungeons?I enabled the bars on the abilities i want to track but it still doesnt track the cd.
You should be able to do that with a weakaura like this one here: wago.io/V2JL9C5PN

Thank for the video, i use DBM for long time but i really like biwigs its more clear, but the issue with Bigwigs that there is no taunt alarm in raid :( and i couldn't find solution for it any advice?

I know I'm sorry. I find it worthwhile to personalize it for yourself though even if just using mine or someone else's setup as a reference.
what addon dbm or bigwigs uses most addon memory?
Honestly not sure. I would assume it has to do more with what settings you enable / disable in each of them

I unfortunately do not use healbot. I use ElvUI with mouseover macros so I wont be of much help there sorry.
Big wigs has been worlds better than dbm since at least wrath. It’s wild that so many people still think dbm is better.
