BEST VIDEO OUT THERE FOR FAUCET INSTALL & HOOK UP! I am a 57 year old female landlord and I’ve had to go through four sink installs to use what I had on hand for bathroom vanity ended up having to invest in a new tiny sink vanity that has a separate faucet assembly.. my bathroom in my rental is odd shaped so needed a tiny vanity, once that challenge was overcome, I had no idea how to install faucet, your video is by far the best simplest great angles out there! I’ve gleaned many faucet installs and yours is in my opinion the best!! THANKING YOU for helping me go from FEAR & Loathing in the bathroom to WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! 🙏🙌👍💗👏👏😁🫶🏻✌️✌️✌️🍁Thank You!!!
Great video , simple and in layman's(dummies) terms I installed a new faucet on my daughter's vanity and used your video as a reference point, everything thing went perfect...my daughter continues to think I'm a genius!!!😁 Keep the videos coming!!! 👍👍👍
Fancy meeting you here again. It has been over 17 years since I installed a new bath faucet. I'm getting ready to install a new single handle Delta with the worry free drain catch. Thanks for taking the time to go over this install. A nice basic video, no over the top stuff, or loud voice. No hand, or body blocking. I especially like how well lit you had it under the sink, and the view of your work under there was some of the best I have seen for such a tight space to work in. It was such a clear view it looked like a classroom, not a bathroom. Thank You
Just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you. I watched your shed building videos last summer, thought that they were the most helpful of the ones that I found on RUclips, and promptly made a shed to be proud of. Am renovating the basement bathroom now, and yours was the first channel that I came to, and the last. Project is now done .... easy peasy. I appreciate your style.
I loved the fact that you showed the step by steps with the sink off!! It helped so much to see what parts go where and the how. Great job!! Thanks so much!! Coming from a handy gal -wanna -be. Haha. Tomorrow, with the guidance of this video, I will attempt to install a new sink and drain/faucet. Very excited!!
Thanks, Shannon. You’re my favourite of all the home improvement people I’ve discovered on RUclips for your simple, clear yet comprehensive demonstrations. You’ve helped me through a lot of projects.
Thank you man you are very helpful man and I appreciate you making these I've already learned alot from you sir. Thanks again. Sincerely Joe a 10 year journeyman (tile Trade)
Hey, nice video........lol......Shannon, Thanks for taking time to show us all the things you do, I really learn a lot from watching you and others on RUclips.
Shannon , thank god I seen your video. I went to install my vanity top and installed the faucet first because I seen you do it . What a great idea as I get vertigo when I'm working upside down . I'm not to impressed with the drain plunger on the faucet . May remove it and install one of those pop up type you push up and down . Thanks for sharing
+HouseImprovements yes especially considering I paid over $400 for my delta faucet . I don't have an overflow on my sink , so I'm going to kibosh that delta drain and use a pop up . Thanks again
Great explanation and video of steps. The best about the job. But can I know where I can get the P-trap set with the drain and the lid at the bottom of the syphon? I did not know that kind existed.
4:35 If you're attaching water lines with the sink in place I have been able to get a crescent wrench up there at a angle, but a closet wrench sure makes life a lot easier. and Hey, nice video. I'm afraid you started something here...
What size is the reducer with gasket that slides into the sink drain? Mine is identical but a 1 1/2 to 1 /14 reducer is to large and won't tighten. Thanks.
Buying a faucet without a deck plate that's to be bought separately for the bathroom vanity. How to use the deck plate to avoid leaks around the perimeter AND at the hole? And do the plates come with a rubber piece under? Need to know ASAP.
Do you normally install the faucet before hand or was this just for demonstration purposes? I am installing a granite counter top this week and it does seem like installing the faucet would be a lot easier with the top on a pair of saw horses.
On a heavy top it is not likely an advantage because of the extra hoses and such hanging in the way during lifting it into place but if you have help you can likely handle it. I normally install the faucet after the counter is installed
@@HouseImprovements Once I get the top unpackaged and take a look I'll decide the best way to go. It's just so cramped under the cabinet and I'm not a small....or young fella. Thanks for the reply though I do appreciate it.
Please help..I just installed a vanity and my drain seal keeps dripping when I fill the sink...I keep tightening the bolt but it seems to not stop the very slow dripping. Should I keep tightening? I don't want to over tighten...I also used plumbers putty.
Do you recommend P-traps with a cleanout like that over the standard ones in most of the hardware stores? When we watched this video we ran out to buy one but all our local places only have a clean-out on the metal P-traps. And we have PVC wall pipes. We just want to pick the best, smartest option.
Absolutely. The only time I do not use them is if they are not accessible . I can easily buy either one in my area, in fact finding a metal one is tough here.
YES ,I LIKE YOUR VIDEO AND I DO HAVE A QUESTION. I HAVE A SINK LIKE THAT AND THE STOPPER THAT POPS UP AND DOWN BUT I CAN'T GET THE ROD TO STAY ON THE BOTTOM ROD . HOW DO I FIX THAT? PLEASE HELP ! THANK YOU
My drain is identical but the instruction says to use silicon even thought there is a rubber gasket. Did you ever get a leak by not using silicon or the rubber gasket was enough?
Plumbers putty is better to use then silicone. The reason is that over time the drian can rust and crack. With silicone it can ruin the sinks that are not stainless still. If you use silicone it will nake it harder to change out the drain if the plunger ever stops working. I just changed a sink and found that plumbers putty works better. Also you can get about a 15 year use out of it till the seal ot has made stops. I have had to do a kitchen sink and bathroom with plumbers putty if silicone was used I would have had to buy a new kitchen and bathroom sink. Plus makes it cheaper to work with, but still works in the long run. We have used the method I was taught in our rent houses. We have had to many plumbing problems when the pros do it with silicone or a more permanent solution.

Thanks very clearly explained and demonstrated
Great explanation and video of steps. The best about the job. But can I know where I can get the P-trap set with the drain and the lid at the bottom of the syphon? I did not know that kind existed.
Both are available in my area , the ones with the caps should be used under sinks.
Another good video would be of that bathroom interior door framing it and doing the doors and hinges. Good Videos as always keep them up!
I have a framing video and an interior door video.
HouseImprovements Awesome! all your videos are good, I watch every single one of them since you started the project.

You likely have one meant for a kitchen sink tail pipe piece?
@@HouseImprovements Ah so a kitchen sink tail piece is bigger?

Buying a faucet without a deck plate that's to be bought separately for the bathroom vanity. How to use the deck plate to avoid leaks around the perimeter AND at the hole? And do the plates come with a rubber piece under? Need to know ASAP.
There should be a gasket or O ring with it
Very helpful. Thanks!

+Brenda Johnson So are you missing the little clip that holds the two rods together or is that clip slipping?
No I have the little clip that just won't stay on
how do you measure from drain to outlet for sewer
My drain is identical but the instruction says to use silicon even thought there is a rubber gasket. Did you ever get a leak by not using silicon or the rubber gasket was enough?
not that I know of. Follow the manufactures instructions

Plumbers putty will stain some man made stone sinks, check recommendations first.
+Emi_poo0788 She seams pretty nowledgable at wat she has did. Eye wood trust her. Expecially cents she knows about stainless still and all.
How long does the ABS glue takes to set up and dry?
Seconds really. Once the pieces are slid together you might have 5 or so seconds for adjustment.
"water lines" Is that what I search for when ordering?
Braided sink water supply lines?
Thanks mate
great
