As i watched the Video i noticed the decal on the front trackcover wich is the Panzerbattaillon 104. I used to be tank driver of a 2A5 back in 2003 in that Panzerbattaillon. Weired to see that on a RC Model Tank :D.

I have a Heng Long Leopard 2A6 and a Torro Leopard 2A6. I love both of them. The Torro is much more detailed however. The Heng Long is the Pro version with metal tracks, road wheels, suspension arms. The gear boxes are metal as well. The motherboard is version 7. I like that it is both airsoft and IR capable. I have been watching many RUclips vids about detailing and weathering of the vehicles, which I hope to do in the near future. You're right about the size of them. I have separate shelves to store them on. With the barrels over the rear deck, they fit ok. I plan on going to a local hobby store this week, to purchase spare parts and (don't tell my wife) a Heng Long T-90. Don't know how I'll sneak it into the house. lol

Just got my leopard, ordered a pershing but sent me an upgraded 2A6 by mistake, they're fine with the error, and I'm shall we say very happy!
Finally i have the tank! The upgrade version, mfu 7.0S! Beast of a tank!
I bought the Leo2A6 based on this video, very well presented. I love the NATO camo on the Leopard2, but stupidly I painted mine Flat Grey 2 days after receiving it, I now regret it. So purchased an Airbrush and Compressor, and placed an order today for some Tamiya Nato Black, and Green. I'll leave the Flat Grey as a base coat, won't be using any brown. Just Flat Grey, Nato Black and Nato Green.
I also received the King Tiger today, apart from some weathering, and upgrading the Gearbox to metal, I'll be leaving the King Tiger as is.
Thanks for your wonderful vidoes, I look forward to watching more Heng Long tank videos, as I may purchase some more. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hi! Juste received mine yesterday. Very happy with this tank. HengLong have go better since 10 years ago. 2 things that I do find wrong....figurine is not up-to-date (1944 figurine)...should be 1995 or late years figurine, also I do not like the red LED for the machine gun....should have been yellow or orange. Haaaaaaaaaaaa...the power switch is in very bad position....should have been placed in a better position. But...over-all....it is a 9/10....Lolll

Got mine 2 days ago, mine is 6.0s version. And my on-off switch is hidden at the back just below the turret. The new version is great, metal gears and metal suspension arms
I bought the same tank as well. I put in the BBS and they just roll around inside the tank. They won't shoot out. And I have to hold both side buttons to make it fire. Dose your tank fire BBS.
With the suspension arms being metal, what type of springs are used on these tanks? I have one of the earlier Tiger I, and the wheels came off already since the suspension arm mounts broke off the chassis and uses the cheap springs.

what's different between tk 6.0 & tk 7? is this tank sort of dated with existence electronics & capabilities? or should i wait for a newer version? what kind of glue do you recommend for the accessories? i chose a l2a6 over a t90/ challeger2 as a l2a6 doesn't look like a running christmas tree on tracks (no offense). thank you.

Asking for a wish list of future releases? OK, I'll bite... Heng Long released the Merkava IV tank which is one I really wanted. That is the new size king BTW... that tank is HUGE! But future models I would like to see...

5. U.S. M109 Paladin. Yes it's a self-propelled gun as opposed to an actual tank, but they are still cool as hell.
I g ot a leopard 2 a 6 but I changed the color scheme to black and green. I like the look a lot better. I have the metal tracks also. I want the metal wheels but I wish they came in black. Leopard 2a6 is my favorite tank and I also have a m1a2 abrams they are both upgraded
I got this tank bought from new,,All works as it should but transmitter red light keeps flashing,,Ive changed the batteries a few times but no luck keeps it blinking,Any ideas thanks
Looks really great from the Leopard 2A6! but would loosen the chain tension a little looks too tight with plastic chains and glue a small counterweight in the front lower tub!. and a question about it! Where is the MG tower on the roof is it not included?

Maybe use different/better cement for those then?
For photo etched parts and metal to metal connections I use VMS Flexy 5K CA. It is a super glue that stays flexible and therefore is able to absorb a considerable amount of force.
For styrene parts I use VMS Styrene cement a normal but very effective cement with good capillary action.
I would imagine with those the only way to get parts off the model is to downright brake them off.

Metal track are good and looks good because it's a tank. But I think the upgraded version is the best and also cheaper and blended well with the body of the tank too

WARNING! Don't run tank on factory set volume. My speaker failed after the third run. I contacted Motion and was told the speaker blows up on high volume setting. My tank came off of warranty and they would not replace it. But they said they would sell me a speaker. Cost of speaker $15 Cost of shipping was $15 and would take about a month with DHL. I just bought replacement on EBay and got it in 4 days.. I installed it and set my volume on the third level. Sounds ok.

I have the V7.0 Leopard version. It needs a lot of mods to be really capable to ride in terrain... meaning a lot of work, and a lots of time to make the mods.
But it is worth it. My Leo now does a great job in mud, in water , in sand. I have steel gears, and the standard motors with 8500 rpm. A bit too slow so I have ordered the Heng Long blue motors with 22000 rpm. And maybe adding a vent.
The possibility of slow riding should be capable to handle the extra strain on the drive train, just as is making slow and wide turns. All in all a great progression to my TK 18 mainboard Leopard.
How much does it cost?
Can you have bibi’s and infared battle thing, or do you need 2 separate tanks?
All the tanks can do both IR or shoot BB's. Just not at the same time

depends on how you want to use your tank. For regular grass and driveways/indoors etc the plastic is fine. The metal helps when you want to get it in more rocky stuff and rougher terrain

You have to waterproof it first. Then you can make it ford water almost right up to the turret ring.

nice video, thanks, since its 2.4ghz, do you know if it can bind with OpenTX transmitters (eg Radiomaster TX16S)? I have drones & planes from different manufacturers all bound to 1 transmitter. It would be very helpful if I could do the same with this tank.
I'd like to see the Abrams main gun balanced, on different terrain. Like the real ones. Maybe using weights or springs. And a commander, flopping On a spring would look realistic.

To a small degree, but definitely can't submerge it past the treads.

@@johnhaines1480 I have 6 Heng long tanks, not this one but all of them are the same as far as water resistance. You don't want deep water where the main battery and electrical devices are stored or they will flood.

Jon Spikes 360’ turret options are usually self installed, but the Torro + Heng Long custom tanks available on their website come with a 360’ turret out the box.
