The Transmission actually never broke bcus the german drivers coulf handle it but after the Soviets won they tried the german tanks and broke a lot of transmission bcus they are horrible drivers(fact(
Personally, me, with my King tiger, I opened it up and squeezed some clear silicone on the hooks for the rear mud flaps on the inside. It lets them flex but they won't pull/fall out

The king tiger was made in 1943 as prototype and was introduced in early 1944 the king tiger was a high quality and a high maintenance tank cause the difficulty of making it and german factories being bombarded only 492 of these tanks were made first They had the porsche turret wich was a shot trap at turret so that ment if a sherman shot at the front lower curved side it would penetrate and the tigers ammo rack would explode that ment a tiger 2 destroyed not only was the porsche turrut bad but also expensive and hard 2 produce thats why almost all of the king tigers had the henschel turret that's the one you're reviewing Further more it was a high quality tank but it had a weak engine so its max speed was 35 kph an hour and the small transmissions were a problem they'd break after 250 Kilometres (Depends how much time was spent on the transmission) that's why the big german cats were transported with train and the king tiger would often fall victim to fuel shortages that's why they were abandoned most of the time Altough when in combat they were beasts armed with 2to 3 mg 34 machine guns one in the front (hull) and one in the turret mantlet and sometimes a mg 34 machine at the commander's capola and a 8.8 cm kwk 43 cannon so that ment that they could destroy any allied vehicle with a range of 2,5 kilometres they had a really good suspension, the overlapping road wheel suspension The armour was really good at the front 150 mm sloped at an angle of 45 degrees the sides were 80 mm and the rear 80 mm
there is no such thing as porsche turret. both turret were made by Krupp. The pre-production design had a shot trap which means it can deflect shells into weak hull top armor. the front is 150mm thick plate sloped. kwk43 and pak43 is not interchangeable since kwk is adapted to mount on tanks.
As of right now, I'm definitely going with the King Tiger. Hopefully they'll be in stock real soon. I would like to upgrade the sound system. Perhaps the smoke system. Also, I read on one of your forums. This particular tank will have Barrel recoil. Could you please confirm or deny? would greatly appreciate it , enjoy your videos real informative and very well done. Any suggestions For doing the aforementioned upgrades. Hopefully motion RC will carry these. Thank you in advance for any info.
@@MotionRC the professional one is about half that time. However if you use the Admiral batteries they last around 20-25 minutes. I have the pro model I bought the Admiral batteries they last twice as long as the batteries that came with the tank. I also like the barrel recoil which is only on certain models. The smoke unit went out after one day no big deal.

I upgraded to more powerful battery took into park and one of the drive wheels has jammed and won't turn even when power is off It is the alloy gearbox metal tracks version. I know nothing about repairs but I think it could be a gearbox problem and wonder if other people have had this same problem

I think the allies didn’t have any tank that could knock out the king tiger so they mounted a 17 pounder onto the Sherman, and that did the trick. Finally they had a chance against it. They called it the Sherman firefly.

Try to turn off the remote control. While it’s off hold and press G, K and the button with the lock symbol on it. Press all of them and don’t let go. Then turn on the remote control again and wait for the “beep” sound. After that you can let go the 3 buttons, turn on your tank again walla done. What I did is to reset all the control functions and it work well for me.

Just got this for Christmas yesterday charge the battery got batteries in the controller but it’s not working it was the $280 version with the metal tracks really excited about it and it’s not doing anything it lights up I don’t know if I didn’t allow the battery to charge enough but I let it charge for four or five hours and also I don’t know if the cheap batteries they came with a controller may be doing it but coroner in sick mode I don’t know I guess I’m gonna have to contact them through Amazon or something if not

The real deal had a Porche designed turret. Yeah, it was a beast. A heavily armored high maintenance beast.

Yes the 1st 50 had the proto-type turret, incorrectly called Porsche. All the turrets were made by the same folks, Krupp I believe

during the end of the war there is an account I think from the 3rd armored division where they killed a King Tiger with a Pershing

Why did the smoke went out? Probably you put too much oil in the first place or second the smoke fiber inside the smoke unit have burnt.

Why in the world would they be illegal? They are not illegal in California as far as I know. Can't imagine why they would be.
The only reason I can think of is that they are also big fans and they want to keep it for themselves......... therefore they confiscate it........

Yeah they had Sherman wolf packs 6 tanks to outflank tiger and to kill a tiger the allies lost about 5 tanks !
I guess the radio controlled Shermans won’t need a wolfpack and doesn’t need to shoot up the King Tiger’s rear🤣

For transporting, Keep the Styrofoam the tank came in. Protects the barrel and is handy.

I believe you have to use a certain combination to avoid accidentally firing. Something like holding the fire button and something else too
