Violent Storm is a 1993 side-scrolling beat-'em-up for the arcades produced by Konami. Up to three players can choose between Wade, Boris and Kyle, who have different fighting styles, speed and moves, some of which are hidden. Players must guide them through 7 different stages, along the way clashing hordes of enemies who wallop, sock, pommel, whip and slug against the players, sometimes with knives, lead pipes, bombs, bolts of electricity, spiked balls on chains, garbage cans, vise grips, molten metal and a myriad of other deadly armament. Lots of fun.
Pepper-Color ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/P... ) uses Boris and Wade to blaze through the game as fast as possible.

This is the cheeriest and most colorful take on lawless sort-of-postapocalypse I've ever seen. Look at how happy most of the bystanders are!

True. For a game that takes place in a post apocalyptic setting (ala Fist of the North Star and Mad Max), this is a pretty upbeat and cheerful game! Especially where its music is concerned! And yeah, the piglets transform into little footballs when you pick them up. lol.

An underrated but awesome game.
Clearly Konami's attempt to make a Capcom beat em up.
They succeeded, because this looks kinda cool.

Why can't Konami re-release *ALL* their beat-em-ups on to every platform? Are they scared of money?
Licensing is a main issue but there's no excuse for not porting Violent Storm

Capcom learned their lesson after trying to sue Data East for making FIghter's History
Because suing a company for just a name like "Industrial area" isn't a smart reason to nor do they have a copyright to the word "Industrial".
