- Anthony and Richard discuss how changing a watch strap can completely transform the look of your watch. There are some basic rules to follow when picking a watch strap but the best thing is to get a watch head and just start experimenting and trying out different combinations. If there's a strap you like just go for it because eventually, you will have a watch which matches with it and it will be a match made in heaven. Also, it is worth getting a good spring bar removal tool, that will make strap swapping much easier!

Personally, I say go ahead and scratch the inside of your lugs. Swapping straps in and out make watch ownership even more fun! And the more you remove spring bars, the better you’ll get at it. Great video! Thanks, guys!
Have my 1971 Rolex 6694 on that exact same strap, it has a similar silvery champagne dial and compliments it perfectly 👍
Funny. Today I wore my grandfather’s 1962 Eterna on a blood red NATO- which it normally lives on. Silver dial, hands and indices and crystal aged to an amazing patina that the red compliments perfectly.
Matching the perfect strap to a watch is 100% how to make the watch look it’s best- and even people that don’t care about watches comment on mine often.
I do need a blood red leather pass through strap for that old Eterna.
So Richard gets his watch and then empties his box of rubbers...THAT MUST BE ONE SEXY LOOKING WATCH!

All good advice from Richard and Anthony; a quality spring bar tool will ensure trouble-free strap changes. Different straps not only change the appearance of a watch but also ensure that the watch performs perfectly during different activities, not to mention offering additional security.
It’s definitely satisfying to find the right strap for a watch. I’ve got a lovely little green dial watch and I recently found a green ostrich strap that takes the watch to the next level. I also have a grey/green nylon that makes it look casual
Also getting a better watch is $$$, but getting a high quality strap that really lifts the watch is only $
I have recently purchased a few of your watches and a hand full of straps from your self's and its weird that this comes out, I highly recommend recommend all you have said, I am loving the watches and the veriaty I can achieve,.

Is there any way to get more leather or metal straps in the watch geko mystery bundles or is it just you get what you get.
I have 2 Oyster Perpetual 36mm & would absolutely love to change out the bracelet for a quality leather/sailcloth/rubber strap. Removing the bracelet has proved nigh on impossible for me on both watches. I don't know how many times I have changed out bracelets on my other watches but it must run into the hundreds of times. It's not the equipment as I have a Bergeon springbar tool (sorry guys) which you'd think would do the job. Alas, I have to put the situation down to pilot error on my part.☺

Hi - thanks for writing in and well spotted. Behind me is a 1943 Lee Enfield No4 MK1 .303, a Thompson M1A1 from 1942, a STEN MKII from 1944 and an M1 Carbine made by GMC from1944. - Richard
Anyone else find the highley strap very uncomfortable as it squeezes there wrist you can't move the watch cause of how tight it feels especially when wearing it new I have loosened a hole and now the watch face is not straight on my arm because it's too loose this way.
The strap does look very nice but it is the comfort of the strap itself.

Unfortunately, my personal experience with your store was not satisfactory ..
I bought a handmade Italian leather last April , unfortunately I received it has damaged (scratches) It was not like the images show on site , I contacted you via e-mail and attached pictures with a comparison to another strap of the same type, but unfortunately I was ignored and it was not replaced with a intact one !!
So sad.
