New Sub. I've been talking about NEMT for about 2 weeks now. Ya'll been on it! I do livestreams/podcasts all the time. We may have to link up on my next livestream (within a few days) and ya'll can speak LIFE into some of these rideshare drivers looking to get into it. Right now, Uber and Lyft are paying drivers $7 to do NEMT rides, yet the apps are collecting BANK on our backs. That's why we decline all NEMT rides. We are not trained for it. Nor are we paid for it properly. The apps are giving doctors and hospitals kickbacks for using rideshare drivers to do these rides, and it's fraud, in many of our opinion.

Excellent working knowledge of the industry ladies. I'm considering ADDING NEMT as a viable option to make money because Uber and Lyft are using me anyway to do these rides so why not get 100% of the bag
I would recommend NEMT over Uber or Lyft because you are right they are utilizing those companies to do our ambulatory trips and they’re not paying you guys much. However, the healthplans and facilities are paying those companies a pretty penny for those rides.

Hello ladies. I love all your videos! I have a question, the city I live has about 10 to 15 nursing facilities and the competition is not too bad for medical transport. The county just south of me. About an hour from me. Has 40+ nursing facilities however, the competition is heavy. Would you suggest for me to start in my small city or just go for the big city and be better than the competition and trying to win it.?

I’ve tried contacting businesses asking what’s their rate sheet and they don’t have one, I’m having a very hard time structuring rates, I understand brokers give us there rates so we don’t have to worry about that but what about private pay, I don’t want to undercharge and mess it up for everyone.

Why confused love? We are Medicaid approved.However, we do not do a lot of Medicaid trips. Most of our clients are private pay. Let me ask you. Do you do all Medicaid? Are you billing the state or brokers for the trips you complete?What state are you in? Are you seeing a profit doing straight Medicaid trips?
We are in Colorado and yes we only bill Medicaid directly as it is against state regulations to take private pay as a Medicaid provider, (in our state). We also do not go through a broker because it’s not a requirement in my county and so I bill the state directly and they pay me weekly. I know the broker in our state takes 2/3 of the money per mile. It’s insane idk how anyone is making money that way.

I'm in New Jersey looking to start an NEMT service. We want to hit the ground running with servicing those clients in Wheelchairs. I have no money, but a vision. I been working for 5 years as an NEMT but with a company and ready to branch out. The more information I get the more overwhelming I feel. Any pointers to counter the feeling of being overwhelmed? Plus I'm thinking off a pay what you can type of service to get into the market.
Feeling overwhelmed is completely normal, especially when it comes to owning and operating a successful NEMT business. My best advice is to be patient with yourself. Take small steps every day towards completing one major task every couple of weeks or month. Whatever you do, don't give up. Keep moving forward!

The biggest problems the non-emergency medical transportation companies are facing today is increased competition from the Brokers you probably don't realize it but all the Brokers have got their own set of vehicles they've got their own wheelchair vans they've got their own employees the Brokers get the best and most profitable trips and the drivers that run their own businesses get the scraps and the Brokers want to deal with Lyft a lot more than what they want to deal with us most of the trips now are going to the Lyft and Uber companies they're not giving the drivers to live that they are not giving the drivers the trips that they used to

We used to get a hundred trips a day from southeastrans we're now lucky to get 40 trade from 4 a total of four brokers brokers
