I hope you find a new recipe or idea to try in your household this week! These were all delicious, it's hard to pick a favorite. Of course, the RH Surprise is a tried and true, but the ravioli was a 7/10, the meatballs an 8/10 and those chicken skewers were so flavorful...10/10! :) Thank you to Fabric by Gerber Life for sponsoring this video.

I know that you're sharing the life insurance because it's a sponsor but I appreciate you doing so! I know people don't like to think about not being around for their kids or they think it "won't happen to me" but life is unpredictable. My sister passed away in 2022 and left me (who had zero children) a 14 y/o to suddenly have to care for. And while necessities could be covered, it was her life insurance that has allowed us to be able still do back to school shopping and dances and birthday parties and sports and all of those things that you can make it by without, but no one wants to deprive their child of.

My sister went to church with a family where the dad died suddenly. He left a wife, 3 kids, and no life insurance. No matter how we've struggled in our budget, we always make sure to have life insurance. (Maybe not as much as we would have liked at the time. but at least some). I do think if at all possible, look into term life. My husband has a few health issues and his life insurance is only 35 bucks a month. Well worth it for peace of mind

In passing, I hear many parents talk and often complain about the seemingly never-ending merry-go-round of multiple shoe and clothing purchases and returns for their children. Please, someone who also experiences/engages in this, explain why one needs to purchase 4 or more pairs of shoes before finding the one that fits. It smacks of Goldilocks and the three bears or something less fictional and more 2024-based. The only rationale I can come up with is parent(s)/child(ren) who have no transportation or physical or cognitive ability to reach a store to try on shoes and buy one pair that fits properly. And yes, I’ve purchased children’s shoes and clothing - with each item fitting properly the first time and, I too was once a child. I realize that many people shop online since brick and mortar stores are not as prevalent as they once were and children’s shoe and clothing sizes change frequently but…

I set aside some of the garlic butter mixture and cooked yellow squash from my garden in it, then topped it with more fresh Parmesan. To round out the meal, we had fresh tomatoes from my garden!

I cook corn on the cob in the microwave, except I leave most of the husk on. You chop off the wide and so you’re into the very first row of the kernels. Then you stick it in the microwave for about 3 1/half to four minutes. When it comes out, you squeeze the tassel end and the Corn slides out of the other end with the silk all in your hand and none on the ear of corn.
