I have carefully watched your video and have just installed the alarm circuit. My leaper has a looped steel band held under tension by a spring. The end of the steel band is crimped with a cylindrical crimp. I made up similar contacts to yours and the result is amazing. Thanks for the idea and the electrical circuit details. A great anti- theft device!
Mike, thank you for your comment, but I don't understand why my alarm can be set off? The wind and rain don't have enough power to activate the alarm. If the clearance between contacts is so small that the wind can make a circuit, you should just lower the stainless ring a bit to enlarge the clearance. Adjusting the clearance should be done right after installation.
My friend, it can be activated with anything or anybody, that can raise and turn the leaper around, compressing the spring. I've been using my leaper for about 4 or 5 years, nothing has ever risen and turned the leaper around, only humans. As for making some money, thank you for the idea. I will think about it.
Hi, one of my nephews broke the cable that holds the leaping jaguar of my S Type. I see that yours doesn't have a cable, instead it has a bolt and nut. Did you make that change or it came like that? If it was you how did you do it, what parts did you use and what solder did you use? Thanks for the information, if you can make a video of this would be great 😉
My Jag is European, she came without a leaper and I had to buy it on eBay. The majority of Chinese leapers go with a thread stud and a nut, while OEM are secured with a cable. The leaper came drilled from downside up and has got a thread inside. I think, you'd better try to replace a cable, or buy a Chinese leaper with a thread.
Thank you for watching! I wish you good luck, though remember that "Rigid hood ornaments are banned today in many countries because they pose an increased risk of injury for pedestrians"

I am glad you made use of my idea and transformed it for your reality. You leaper must be an OEM one, while mine is not.
Very good and simple made!
Thanks for your comment and welcome!
Great job, thank you 👍
so if anything could set off your alarm? jags are from england where wind and rain will play with this leaper all day but its a nice thing .

@@jaguarrroman rains slow there . A storm might activate it anyway its a nice kit why not make it as a thing and make some money from selling it ?

Thank you for watching! You'd better ask your local workshop to help you. Surely, you can show them this video.
Tasteless
I wish you did it tasty! Good luck!
Mine is connected to the battery. It hurts like fuck if you touch it.
