This is the ideal tiny house for me. It looks like a regular home. It feels like a regular home. No cramped loft spaces. and no unnecessary decor. Just right
It is built like regular home on slab of concrete with regular home building materials. It is a custom build home, just smaller home. It is out guest house in our property.
Agree, love that there is no unnecessary decor . I love the spacious kitchen. This is JUST ME but the center of all activities is always the kitchen so that's important to me. Love this!❤

A stackable, washer and dryer, and it would be perfect.
That's the only thing missing. I wonder why it was built without a washer and dryer. That's a deal breaker
There is a door in the kitchen that was not opened next to the bathroom door. I have a feeling that the washer and dryer is there. To back up my theory, there is a dryer vent in that area on the outside of the house.

Hi everyone, I am the owner and the designer of the small cottage. We built 3 of these cottages in our big 16 acre property. We have a large old manor house in this property as well. The cottages are guests houses in this property that we rent them on Airbnb and VRBO. We have 2 sets of extra large Washer and Dryers in the main house garage that is few hundreds feet away from cottages. Those washers and dryers are serving all cottages and the main house.
These cottages are rented for short stays and weekend getaways. They are not long term rentals. So not many of our guests request laundry. But if they need it they bring their laundry to the laundry facility near the main house in this property.
Very nice! My second residence after leaving home was a 325 square foot garage apartment. I really enjoyed it as did my fiancee and now Wife. It had a huge pecan tree that covered the bedroom window...wonderful for letting air in. A gas stove/oven combo and gas ceramic heater in the bathroom. Plus free cable TV my whole three years living there. I remember trying to buy it from the owners...they laughed and said their kids would inherit it. Thanks Jennie and Roger for giving a kid a chance.
I wish these clips would give an approximate price or range like new construction signs do 😊

This would be perfect for a young dude or woman in their late teens to mid 20s like in college or just someone living by themselves with a cat who doesn't like apartments bc you always have to deal with others being loud and crazy neighbors

@@zammymynakersnackstbmoth I said late teens to mid 20s so up 25ish and someone at the age of 25 could easily save the down payment and then be approved for a loan I never said the person would pay it all at once so it's semi feasible

16 acres would be costly, plus house cost.
Why single...bed was for 2 ppl.
We lived in a tiny home rental w up to 4 cats slightly bigger than that one, till we got our house...it had a large yard on the lake.
Families with kids live in tiny homes too.

That’s all I would need, tiny house and lot’s of land. One thing I would definitely install would be a fireplace.
And adding a finished crawl space & Or 1/2 Basement (use to do this yrs ago when many had 2 b frugal instead of whole basmt) 4 storage. In north all winter clothes boots hats etc-in these areas or other muddy type places-build a(-may not need 2 heat) -but what used to be a "breezeway" or entryway porch-etc. Also gives place 4 above & keeps initial outside out of Home itself.
Keeping more neat persons of the home...from constant sweeping-gives family & guests place to take off shoes plus ++ other storage inside also w inexpen. sq ftage.

Love this! I would add a cabinet with overhang to serve as a breakfast bar/work space on the far side,extra cabinets underneath, matching the existing kitchen cabinetry, instead of the smaller high table. You can’t have too much storage or too much work surface ever.

That bathroom is rather spacious compared to many full size homes bathrooms I've been in and it even has 2 doors to use up space.
9' ceilings add such a greater sense of space!
Honestly with all that outside space this is all the house I need.

Take out the closet in the bedroom so you can fit a stackable washer/dryer and it would be more perfect.

Watching this yet again, and wondering what the dimensions are of the rooms. I'm looking to sell my small in-town house and then build on a few acres for a small-scale specialty farming. The locations I'm looking at in Michigan have current regulations that state a house must be at least 800sqft. I'd love to be able to use this as an example of what I want to do, because I'll also need to have a small barn.

I designed it and a local custom homebuilder built it for us in year 2020.
The cost was around $150 per square foot in 2020 including the septic system and utility lines. Currently, the builders are charging a lot more for custom built homes ($160/sqf to $200/sqf) depending on the cost of materials and the price of fixtures and appliances, utility connections, ground improvements...

it’s great but could be even greater with a few tweaks: make the front porch/deck 8 feet wide with full covered porch and you have enough room for an almost year round outdoor sitting and dining, especially if you add porch heaters, roof a little taller you could have extra sleeping in a loft for guests. 420 sq feet you could put a big dresser on the wall facing the bed and have storage in the living room. In the country you REALLY need a mud room for entrance so 8x8 in the back to keep muddy boots and shoes, home supplies, clean off and feed dogs, stackable washer and dryer. Also full ovens are great but a small household can easily do with a 24 not 30” range and put the island in the middle then have room for a round table and 4 chairs for dining.
