There are artists I like who way back would play this sort of thing *sometimes*, like once or twice on a whole album (Satriani, Vinnie Moore, Malmsteem; eg. Satriani's "Midnight" from "Surfing with the Alien"), but I've always wanted to find someone who does it most of the time, so hurrah for Aram. 8) Am mindblown though that he does it with a bass, I never knew such was possible.
It's funny how these days I only come across artists I like who I didn't know about before via youtube, often for the oddest reasons, in this case via Juan; last year it was Pecos Hank, loved his storm chasing vids, amazed to discover I really liked his music aswell.
No wonder old media is scared of new media, people even discovering music in entirely different ways. It must scare the heck out of traditional radio corps. :D Direct sales and contact with fans, no middle men, no ripoff high street stores, etc.

Time, alone, dictates "when..." It'll happen. I've been in FM Radio on the West Coast, Los Angeles, KYMS, KLOS, KMET and several others. KCNA, KFMJ, KOOL, KMGM, KAFF. This guy's gonna blow some minds when the right ppl hear this. I'm completely deaf in my right ear from a Virus, so I got a pair of ear buds which, when I place it against the Skull, I can actually HEAR again. This guy is nothing LESS than amazing, ya know?

One of the most underrated solo musician. Truly brilliant. No hype, just art. Aram certainly belongs to group of musicians like Joe Satriani.
Even though our human brain is perplexingly complex and has this odd affinity for looking for patterns, it is also good at filling in things that are not there. My mind thought there were some kind of companioning drums in this masterful piece, but it is not there. Incredible good playing. I am in awe. Thank you again for this tune, it always brings a soothing feeling to me.

Two months ago I bought my first bass and started teaching myself how to play it. On a whim I searched my timelines today to see what I was doing two months ago that would possess me to pick up a new instrument at the age of 39 and I found my original comment on this video. This song still resonates with me. I think it may be one of the reasons I decided to learn the bass. (And 2 months later, I don't regret my decision one bit.) It's a wonderful instrument and I am in love with it.
