Bloncolirio is like a box of chocolates... you never know whatcha gunna git
Mooore CowBell so true!
No kidding! The man is an onion! Layer upon layer
The Forrest Gump bench was at Chippewa Square in Savannah. For a while I was incorrectly referring to it as Cherokee Square. So your comment sort of glued it all together - and I was thinking exactly the same thing.
BUTCHA JUST KNOW ITS GONNA BE GOOOOOD!!!!!!!
I'm an art historian by profession and play bass in my spare time. I'm also an aviation enthusiast, mainly because for a number of years I used to fly a lot (as a passenger). So I follow this channel due to the very interesting aviation content presented by a professional pilot. And now Juan also plays bass! What!!!
I love the "Blancolirio' show, you never know what your gonna get. I want to smoke and drink whatever you smoke and drink.
Just thanks...I am revisiting piano after 16 years..just retired and now in lock down...down under. Love aviation, love electronics ( my trade), and love the fact that music transcends all. This was both fun and refreshing. All the beast and stay safe from Aus.
Really like how you put together the pilot's alphabet with the music theory -
Musicians have their own "alphabet", and you probably all know it ... Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do!
Of all the silver linings in the clouds! How much FUN was that? Made my day, Thanks Juan!
Delta Echo Alpha...I cant recall ever hearing it stated that way.
I can't ever remember...never mind.
That's funny. It seemed perfectly normal to me. I guess my navy was showing.
Throw in an occasional Foxtrot sharp and yeehaw!
I have to say, I learned more about music theory in the first 5 minutes than I did in a year of taking lessons on it. Have you thought of becoming a CFI on the civilian side? With a teaching ability like that you'd make a hell of an instructor!
Bass is typically just a bunch of arpeggios, unless you're a jazz geek. Bass is always the easiest instrument to listen to if you are trying to pick out the chords in a song.
I thought this was going to be a fishing tutorial
Same. Thought Bass the fish, not bass the scales.
lol ...
I was trying to taxi to your instructions... ran out of fuel between Delta and Alpha!!!!! 😂
😂
You must have missed taxiway F#.
Hahahahahaha..... That's Great!!
That's Funny!!
Glad to see you enjoying your time off.
Can’t complain about that! Very nice. Thank you for sharing.
I’ve flown for years, and played mountain music for twice that. I don’t care what Juan talks about, I always learn something.
I miss sitting around in Nevada City listening to live music while sipping a beer and eating a burger.
"Delta, Echo, Alpha," I'm never going to hear music the same again! ;)
As somebody who has been around bluegrass music my entire life but never had an inclination to play, this was actually a very useful video for me. Connected some dots with the words and sounds I've heard in my parent's living room and at festivals all over growing up. It might even make sense.
Also somehow I follow several RUclipsrs who are all secret bluegrass musicians, not sure how that happened...
Wow Juan, you're quite the Renaissance man. Good stuff!
Sweet! :-)
You know Juan, it'll be 6 years this summer since you sang for my birthday. Your presence & more tonic water are requested! ;-)
Juan doesn't cease to amaze us.
You're a real renaissance man, Juan. Lots of talents. You know something about an awful lot.
Juan. Thanks for the smile.
Never a dull moment on the old homestead.... stay safe
This brought back some memories of me seconding on guitar for my grandma playing fiddle. It's been almost 25 years since I picked up a guitar. I've been itchen to get another one for a couple years. A good friend of mine and me had a saying that happiness was four calluses! Kurt Leopold where are you?
Juan, Home alone, I spend a lot of time on the internet. The co-production with you and Petter was "Absolutely Fantastic!" Please explore these options again. Bob
Blancolirio just leveled up! Not only a musician but a stand-up bass player!!! You are officially the best channel on YT!
Awesome...Love your channel!
I can shoot an ILS no problem, but that music playing stuff will always be over my head. Juan--- the guy that can do it all.
This can go on FOREVER waha hoo !!! Remember, good whiskey will never let you lose your place. This can go on FOREVER waha hoo !!! This is great, thank you as always. Blessing to you and your family. Stay Safe !! Namaste
Love it Juan!! 💜
So many channels on You Tube are in a rut and pretty much do the same type of videos over and over. NOT Juan! One of the reasons I keep watching his channel. Thanks Juan!
You play that thing with such professionally!
His cheerful demeanour is much needed.
Thanks Juan. Music is a great stress reliever.
I still have my Fender Musicmaster that I bought new in 1957 with my paper route money when I was in junior high school. I paid $125 for the guitar, hard case, and tweed amp. If I had another $100, I could have bought a Stratocaster that is worth upwards of $25,000 My Musicmaster is worth about $3,000 but I would never sell it. FYI - If you like country music, you can play just about any song on the guitar with 3 chords. Juan, your talents are absolutely amazing. I found you on you tube when you were doing the tragic Kobe Bryant videos.
Who knew? Juan is a genuine renaissance man. Motorcycle riding plane flying blue grass ... is a cooking show next? I’m a fan.
Nice bass fiddling, Brownie! Had a buddy who was a third generation fiddler who was and is a big name in Old Time Fiddle in Texas and surrounding states. It is awesome to listen to live. And I got to go to a jam session once. About 10 of the best fiddlers in Texas and 11 quarts of whisky were present. I learned: You don’t “play” the rhythm guitar, you BEAT the rhythm guitar. Broken strings everywhere! Amazing good time. Keep doing you!
When the walls start closing in on me I just go out and start painting rocks. Some red, some blue, some white. Before you know it you have something red, white and blue. Then you start over in reverse. Enjoy your channel, please do more often, Best Regards, ja Chesapeake Va,
Great 👍 video, Juan. That’s an awful lot of music theory for one man to share, but I appreciate the education. I love 💕 bluegrass and this made for a fun time in an otherwise lousy day. I used to work in a music store in Houston Texas when I was a kid and got to work for Bill Northcutt, world champion fiddler. We were blessed with some of the best bluegrass musicians of the day who would come in off the street and strike up a tune and before long there would be a store full “pickin’ and grinnin’ “
You know, I needed that after a horrible yesterday. Thanks!
So now we've seen you play bass and mandolin, and maybe piano once with Julianne? Got any more instruments your talented sleeve? So impressed!
Juan, IMHO the addition of music teacher to your repertoire makes you a candidate for the next Dos Equis Beer "The Most Interesting Man in the World"! Legend. Actually your presentations do remind me a bit of Walter Cronkite in a good way.
I went and got my guitar out and played along. Played a little bass in college (many years ago). Strings and wings. Who would have thought.
Thank you Blancolirio for the great entertainment. You definitely are talented. Love your content no matter what it is. Stay safe to you and your beautiful family ❤️🥰❤️🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦
I need more! This was more insightful than anything else as a newbie
Awesome Juan...multi-talented!!!! Keep it up!!!
Thank you! Will do!
A man of many talents....very nice
Well a Group made a living out of playing very few notes and keys and they made a good living at it, so............. they were a super group (so called) and everyone out there will know who I mean. One of them passed away a while ago, British group. Very popular, toured the world and rocked. If they can do it, anyone can. At the start I was saying "Get on with it" but then I started to listen to what you were saying, so had to play it again. Well done sir.
cheers Juan, alwayx a real pleasure,... keep well...
All right, you go Juan!
So fun ! I didn't see hauling out the Bass on list of C 19 symptoms ! This pilot just found knitting needles in a drawer . all ya gotta know is knit one pearl 2 ? I think, how hard could it be ? 😂🇨🇦
Keep it up, Juan. Thank you
Is there no end to your talents? Great stuff Juan!
Juan, I really love your channel! I mean, we get aviation, science and music! I love it! If you had electronics, radio and trains, you'd have all my hobbies! Thank you for such a great channel!
John Peterson, Who said he doesn't have trains. He was a kid once wasn't he?
@@Grandpa82547 absolutely! I just never grew out of a love for trains! :)
@@alabamarailfan Juan has several train-related videos. Just type "train" into the search window on the Blancolirio home page. Here's two about the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railway: ruclips.net/video/imW66r74wgw/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/Q8k_qGdgpsU/видео.html.
Truly a man of many talents,,,,
It’s official. Juan brown has lost it. Get this man in the air again!!
Thanks for your videos. I actually was inside 909 some years ago. I made a video of the flight along the Fairfield County C t coast. I too am a pilot and owned a 172. And finally, I am a bass player, having toured with the Animals back in 2000. Keep on keeping on my friend, good luck and keep em flying!!
you make anything fun .. music, flying, mtcy .. living in general! Purpose of life: Enjoy life!
Thanks for the lesson, I need some more of this blue grass therapy... good medicine.
Very nice juan 👍
That was fun. First one I've seen that wasn't about aviation. I thought "alpha" to "delta" was taxi instructions.
I love it. Caused me to pull out one of my banjos.
Remarkable...You are a joy...Thank you
That's a big axe to drag around for hotel room practice for a commercial pilot.
Damn... I started YEE HAW😂😂😂😍
Hey! You did it. Great.
Damn I love this channel 😎👍
Such varied talent from an old Herk Driver!!! Did you ever entertain the crew?
Amazing job, i do enjoy a bit of knee slapping now and then.
Juan... the Renaissance Man!
Solid I'm in. I played bass violin in Orchestra in grade 6 and 7. All guitar after I moved to a small southern town.
whens the live chat with big jet juan.
Outstanding! Next time show us how to make some brew with your homemade still. Yee haw!!! 🤠 👍
Love the music
Now this is what I'm talking about I am no pilot but I know music. I been plying this stuff For 50 years. I love the bass my favorite string instrument. I also play accustic guitar and I use to also play tenor Saxophone and trumpet. Great job Jaun you are full of surprises and for a subject I finally can also claim some expertise. But you did find a unique way to get that pilot jargan in there didn't you?
I hope Piety Hill Cottages and Northern Queen Inn weather the current storm.
Nevada City was a great place to ride into, no problems for motorcyclists. Easy walking to everything, plus cheap taxi rides to Grass Valley if you had a hankering for "big city" life. ;)
Love it Juan! Been jamming to this music for a long time (Flatpick guitar). Who was it, Norman Blake possibly, said he learned just enough music theory not to hurt his playing.😂
Rock on pilot man . Hope everyone is well at the world headquarters. Rock on
I love the bluegrass music.
this guy had like 5 subscribers until the dam failed lol
As if flying a triple 7 isn’t cool enough! Life well living Juan
Best video of this month :)
Yeehaw!!...so talented!!
Pretty cool! Not only are you a pilot, but you play bluegrass. No way!!! That was fun. I happened to have my geetar sitting near by so played along. I have to admit my guitar teacher never referred to the chords as Delta, Alpha, etc. Good idea. 😀. I also must admit I have about the same amount of knowledge of music theory even though my teacher tried his best. However, I cannot fly a kite. 😀
Enjoying the diversity on your channel!
Must be tough playing that on the flight deck!
What a variety show. :)
You are my hero!
It's time to build another cigar box guitar. Pilots are grounded and flight crews are collecting unemployment. Hee haw
Juan, you’re a renaissance man....
And after the bass lesson, he'll break down an airplane engine just for fun!
You surely would have fun with "Band in a Box".
Definition of Perfect Pitch...a banjo being tossed into a dumpster hitting an accordion....
Just remember, if you usually know if you're on key, you also know if the others around you aren't...
My favorite music, and ya, I play an upright bass too...
It's a good time to do some trail clearing there Juan.
Yep, doin' lots of that too.
Next up: Juan bakes an apple pie...
I wonder if Jeni lets him in the kitchen.
Awesome!
Great video! I recently have been playing the backing track to that song. I've only been playing for 9 months and have a dumb question. I noticed a lot of excellent bluegrass players not playing root fifth much, just root-root like in your video with only small amounts of root fifth. Can you fill me in on the proper etiquette for root fifth or root root style?
Was that a Specialized Turbo Levo at the end there Juan? Nice music lesson sir.
Love it!
Check out the Cleverlys on YT...standup base player is awesome...as is the group...IMO
Great Lesson!!
