I feel bad for Garreth Edwards, the guy was clearly talented and a real Star Wars fan.
I wonder if one day someone will leak his cut of the movie.

I feel even worse for him because it’s clear someone is trying to damage his reputation with this Gilroy narrative and the fact that Edwards hasn’t done another movie since Rogue One. Somehow he became a scapegoat on a movie that was well received and did well at the box office

@@JarJarAbrams funny how those who "hate" star wars (which tony gilroy doesn't. it just doesn't have that much of an impact on him) make better and higher quality shows than fans. what did we get from fans? a failed trilogy. a repetitive series in which each episode of the first two seasons has the same plot. a series in which the main character was washed away and became a supporting character. i think we need filmmakers who are only concerned with the work they are doing and not what is written on it

I wish we could have seen his version of Rouge One and the original gritty guerrilla warfare look and tone he wanted. But I guess it was too dark and they didn’t want that. Rouge One had various things missing if people saw the trailers. The tone was supposed to be darker than what we saw.

@@JarJarAbrams looking at the original it would be the same but the characters are not interesting, heck some scenes that are cut out could be dragged out especially when Jyn is about to fight the Tie Fighter that would dragged the ending, and Gareth did the same thing again in the Creator but with a robot octopus which is unnecessary.
