Thank you for this information. Kind of difficult to keep all of it in mind, but I will try! Helpful!

Are the slides (I presume it's a PowerPoint presentation, or at least a .pdf file) available for download? Some of the links are obviously clickable, but not via the video, and it would be useful to have them.

Excellent and well researched. Sets a great background for genealogy records. A lot of detail, but logical clear presentation.

Quite an interesting webinar. Would have appreciated more details on researching gateway ancestors. Also I suspect this presentation is primarily English. Therefore not much use to researchers looking into such ancestors in Scotland as I am.

I can't find anything 😩 about my medieval ancestors 😒. The farthest back 😒 I can go is to my ancestor John Duggan, who was born in 🙄 Ireland 🇮🇪 in the 1600's. I just wonder 🤔, who were his 👋 parents 😢? Did he have any siblings 🤔? Who were his grandparents? Who were his great grandparents? 10 years ago, two of my little brothers were having a duct tape sword fight. I asked them why they were doing that and my little brother Joseph said, "our ancestors were knights." Then I asked Daddy. He said, "maybe some of them were. I don't have evidence, cannot provide proof." My ancestors were probably knights because some of my ancestors were war heroes and stuff like that.

Lucky! My ancestors were from Ottoman Empire (Serbia and Romania) farthest I can go is 1850 😔
