I can already tell what's going to happen. We'll beat the rest of our opponents by 20+ points,and then in 1/4 finals Italy will have 65% 3PG and take us out as they did in a couple of previous competitions.
We can't play against Italy in 1/4 finals.
A quarterfinal would be an achievement for this team, knowing we lack 8-10 players.

China has to work on many aspects of the game, not to copy the Americans in dribbling, etc. The throw of the ball when shooting is bad, tactically they don't look bad, but the distribution of the ball is not the best. I don't know what kind of National Chinese league looks like, but if China would invite Serbian coaches to work with them they would blossom in 10 years. To work from the beginning with the youngest players on all aspects of the game and to make basketball camps for players and coaches and later develop their own basketball story. Serbia has been playing basketball for 100 years, that's why it always has strong teams, because it has a certain basketball culture that many countries do not have. China is on the right track, but it must invest in the domestic league and in basketball knowledge and tactics.

I genuinely believe that it ultimately boils down to genetics. Basketball is not just about skills… Any Asian team, regardless of their high skill level, may still find it challenging to compete against opponents who are equally skilled but more athletic and agile.

Many foreign coaches have coached China before yet they still play like they just started learning. Instead of improving, the opposite happened. They should just abandon basketball at this point. It's not just for them.

China needs to flip their national program upside downs and just develop players that are around 17-20 years old. All their current players aren't world class players. It won't make a difference, but it would make a difference in the future if they focus on the younger generations.
