The songs "Me Now" and "Good Night" are both only on the rereleased version of the album. (like a year later) The original 2 songs he replaced are called "Narcotics" and "Pure Enough", both really good tracks imo.

If you are going to check out kid cudi, definitely start with either Man on the Moon or Kids See Ghosts. Both are his best work, and are incredibly different but will help you appreciate the other. (I would say listen to MotM first because of how unique and brief KSG is. You may not appreciate KSG as much without being familiar with cudi’s other work)
I loved Taboo but I’m 15 min in on this album with you and it sounds like this is a bit more ruff Ryder style and gives a different glimpse into Denzel. I like it a lot so far maybe even more than Taboo
I agree that it's his best but I don't know if I'd say by a landslide when he still has 56 Nights, Monster, and Honest in his discography. That whole run is legendary.
Luke Ambrose yeah 2014/15 Future was a beast. I still think DS2 is the best though and Jon would love it because it goes at 100 miles an hour the whole time

Kid Cudi- A kid Named Cudi. This is his 2007 mixtape and his first project ever and what got me into Cudi to begin with. He has alot of 🔥 bars on this project as well
Definitely was ahead of his time, it’s crazy to look back on what was popular back then and you can see why he wasn’t at the top at the time. This style was obscure and pretty rare. Shit is ruthless man fire, this album is timeless. Denzel has all my respect… producing fire like this for a decade straight.

Hey Jon, really love your content. I would highly, highly recommend listening through saturation 2 or 3. I feel like the Brockhampton content that you've listened to on Rock Reacts doesn't give you an adequate sample palette of their sound. Saturation 2 has specific standouts that are just excellent songs and that are all very different in production (e.g. JELLO, SWAMP, TOKYO, FIGHT, SUMMER), while Saturation 3 has a more cohesive noise and takes care to carry over elements of production from each song to the next, allowing the album to maintain more connective tissue between each track while still being able to explore different subjects and moods. In your Frank Ocean reaction, you compared his style of music to prog. I think that Brockhampton embodies the spirit of prog more than anybody in hip hop today save maybe Frank himself. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE PLEASE P L E A S E react to the album "Stranger Heads Prevail," by Thank You Scientist. Thank You Scientist combine metal, jazz fusion, and prog to create a fascinating, ever-shifting sonic landscape with the best, tightest, crunchiest instrumentation I've ever heard. They are a 7 piece band, all graduates of the Claremont State music program (New Jersey). Stranger Heads Prevail is their second album, and it is by far the best complete experience I've had with any genre of album. It leans more into jazziness than their first project, while still cramming every song full of insane, punchy guitar work, relentless drums, and the most badass violin and saxophone you've ever heard in a rock project. With your love for prog and rock, i truly think that their work might become some of your favorite. As far as I can tell, they haven't ever released a bad song.
