He has always been one of my favorite artists simply because of the style and fucking swag he has, he can’t make a bad track imo

Hey Jon, really love your content.
I would highly, highly recommend listening through saturation 2 or 3. I feel like the Brockhampton content that you've listened to on Rock Reacts doesn't give you an adequate sample palette of their sound. Saturation 2 has specific standouts that are just excellent songs and that are all very different in production (e.g. JELLO, SWAMP, TOKYO, FIGHT, SUMMER), while Saturation 3 has a more cohesive noise and takes care to carry over elements of production from each song to the next, allowing the album to maintain more connective tissue between each track while still being able to explore different subjects and moods.
In your Frank Ocean reaction, you compared his style of music to prog. I think that Brockhampton embodies the spirit of prog more than anybody in hip hop today save maybe Frank himself.
    ALSO VERY IMPORTANT
    PLEASE
    PLEASE
P L E A S E react to the album "Stranger Heads Prevail," by Thank You Scientist. Thank You Scientist combine metal, jazz fusion, and prog to create a fascinating, ever-shifting sonic landscape with the best, tightest, crunchiest instrumentation I've ever heard. They are a 7 piece band, all graduates of the Claremont State music program (New Jersey). Stranger Heads Prevail is their second album, and it is by far the best complete experience I've had with any genre of album. It leans more into jazziness than their first project, while still cramming every song full of insane, punchy guitar work, relentless drums, and the most badass violin and saxophone you've ever heard in a rock project.
With your love for prog and rock, i truly think that their work might become some of your favorite. As far as I can tell, they haven't ever released a bad song. They sound like nobody else in the game right now. Plus, i don't think anyone's done an album reaction for them before, so you'd be breaking new ground!
Thanks for taking the time to read this Jon. Keep up the excellent work!

You just have to do My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy at some point man. The song Devil In A New Dress has the best ever Rick Ross verse, and is one of Kanyes best songs imo. You would definitely love it

probably won't ever happen but it would be cool to see you react to "the impossible kid" by aesop rock in this format. you said you appreciate good writing in music and aesop rock is undeniably a top tier lyricist and a great storyteller. it can be a lot to wrap your head around if you don't understand his approach but it's worth it imo.

peepeepoopoo 13 100%, I thought it was very weak and I’m not sure why people hold it higher than watching movies

@@ImLifeRacer people just hold it higher bc it was the last thing he released before dying. Similar with Lil peep and X. 3 artist who had a lot of potential who's art is portayed through rose tinted glasses just because they've passed.

Ready To Die -Biggie (PLEASE ITS A MUST)
    Young Sinatra:Undeniable -Logic
    1999 -Joey Bada$$
    Illmatic -Nas
    Section .80- Kendrick Lamar

Simon did Frank Ocean's Blonde, I have to see your reaction to blonde now!
I feel since you're an Elliot Smith fan, it would be an album you would thoroughly appreciate.
If its any help, in one of the song from the album, siegfried, Frank has something of a tribute to Elliot Smith

REACT TO MAC MILLER FACES. ITS A MIXTAPE FROM 2014. PROBABLY HIS BEST AND MOST HONEST WORK.

  • @polygon3538
    @polygon3538 5 лет назад +1

please react to one of mac miller's albums, swimming or faces would be
my recommendations. swimming was the album he released shortly before
his death, and faces is a mixtape he dropped back in 2014. swimming is
his most polished, mature album, faces is very abstract, jazzy and drug
influenced. thank you so much, love the channel.
