Great video and snaps for the double Lonis! I've had this on preorder for ages and have been looking forward to doing an unboxing video myself, but I've lost a bit of enthusiasm for it after learning that the Clue/Cluedo theme isn't stronger. And I really don't like when the card quality drops :(
this seems alright, though the randomization in the boosters is... well it is. it's a better way of doing jumpstart though. I hope that the clue components help for playing it out, though it's probably just playing clue while also playing magic.

There are some interesting cards in the box - and if you seeking such cards, just buy singles lol - a lot of bulk commons & uncommons, similar to those welcome packs, the guild theme cards are cool and the box itself is pretty cool to fit easily a commander deck plus dice
It’s cool but it needed complimentary decks for the unique cards. Still interesting idea, i was hoping they’d do something like this when they released the D&d set, a neat hybrid game.
Yeah. This product really did upset me because it's nothing like a clue, in my opinion! I just wish they just stuck to making it a Universes Beyond set instead!
I got two for about 46$/each... Only opened one box topper it was also stomping ground, but I'm gonna try it with my cousins so I kept the packs sealed. I thought it was a clue based fat pack, but I guess I didn't read it properly or they changed the text on Amazon. I always throw everything in my cart on amzn in sets of 2 and cancel if they wiz spoils a product and it looks like crap, but I missed this one as I would never have bought jump start packs. They knew what they were doing... It's just a scam to players. Packing bulk garbage at a low quality print, in a premium product.
Something noteworthy about this box is that while you get a notepad for tracking information, you have to provide your own pen/pencil. I get that most people have pens/pencils around their house, but are WotC really that stingy to not throw in a golf pencil? Yeah, it would drive up the cost, but not to the point where it costs an extra $10. It could be possible that WotC is trying to avoid a liability. This set is marked 13+ and the last thing they need is a lawsuit because some Zoomer/Gen Alpha recorded a TikTok of themselves shoving a golf pencil up their nostril for clout. I don't know. What do you guys think? Should Wizards have included a golf pencil in the box?
They were going to include pens and send them out, but couldn't. Apparently it was because too many players complained about this product and basically told WotC to shove it up their asses. So the theory is that the pens were held back because WotC was forced to shove the pens up their asses for producing another low quality cash grab.
I think borderless treatments look really gaudy, especially the backgrounds on those weapons and rooms, and what the heck is up with that font on the characters?... but I will definitely buy the 30x unique guild cards as singles for my ten Guilds of Ravnica vorthos commander decks. I really like Stampede Surfer and the new Lonis. Looks like you get 2 uniques per booster so they should stay super cheap.

@@fastydave The standard font for Magic is Beleren font. The Clue characters have a weird bold font that is most obviously not Beleren. All borderless cards look gaudy not just this set, but these borderless weapon cards for Clue also have a gaudy background.
I would say no, I bought several boxes, random packs, even 2 of the same guild may give you different cards or the same ones, I don't believe you will get guaranteed every unique card
@@fastydave not in my area. If they go on "sale" at any of my Lgs something like this at most gets 10-15 dollars knocked off. 85-90 dollars (Canadian) is still way to much.
We can only accept, fewer and fewer Brazilian players and now everything is in English and with rules that are difficult to understand in our native language, it is easier to 'reset quit' - RIP MTG WORLDWIDE -, there will be no more new players.

that Golgari Swarm pack and Cult of Rakdos both had MaKM cards in it....the dagger symbol instead of the "C"
They did the same with M21 and OG jumpstart

The 21 unique cards yes, but the packs are all different.
