Good GOD his brother is like a true Nordic warrior. He actually sounds alot like his brother too, what a great tribute.
If you’re gonna have one last concert, this is how to do it. Everything here is mixed clearly, even bass. Everything is performed perfectly.
This live makes me want to cry.. Not tears of sadness, though, nor happiness.. Just tears of something magical, beautiful. Truly, a spectacular day that was and I am really sorry I wasn't able to attend.

@zhakalagama9258 Are you talking about the singer here? If so he was a guest since Valfar had died. This was the last show of the band since it was Valfars baby, they ended it with him. Also the giant muscle guy is Valfars brother he came to pay tribute as well

HOLY FUCK. That has to be the best thing I've ever heard from Windir. I'm not previously familiar with that part as I mostly ever listen to 1184 (a lot). I called up my friend last night after seeing/hearing that clip for the first time and told him to watch it NOW. He did and I quote he said "it is very beautiful", and also "crazy perfect (guitar) tone". On a related note, I'm wearing my 1184 shirt today proudly!

After Windir, Moonsorrow is probably the only band that is able to produce constantly high quality albums while evolving, but staying true to their sound.
I love these guys, shame we couldn't get more from them.
Moonsorrow and Windir ... my all time favorite bands, one died and only 1 left, and just like you said, there have never been any band with as much passion, atmosphere, epicness, music quality and just pure music perfection as these 2 bands ...

I would pay a fortune to see Windir live even without Valfar. This band is Legendary and unique. My fav black metal band by far.
If you ever have the chance to see Vreid go for it, it's all Windir members and when I saw them they also played "Journey to the End".

@@florisbiezeman3800 if you haven't check out Cor Scorpii, at first it was two of the members from Windir, one eventually left. Cor Scorpii is much closer to Windir's sound then Vried. Vried is a mix of black metal and rock and roll, still amazing but not much like Windir
