Keep shoulders down and relaxed [as his are when he's really going strong], breath from the abdomen, keep elbows in and down. When not doing any of this, you breathe harder as the body [elbows, shoulders, chest] rise and you lose stamina. Practice of course.

@@kirat666 I see this battle between their vocalists a lot in their comments and I gotta admit as a relatively new fan; Legion's vocals sounds just plain lazy. Mortuus' vocals are so fitting for Marduk, pure chaos.

Mortuus used to be better live back in 2004 to 2013, after that he sounded like he sounds today live, generic now.

I was there, amazing and impressive...
Marduk is sort of the Cannibal Corpse of black metal. And I mean that in the best possible way. They've been around long enough to be seminal to the formation of their genre. Released a ton of albums, some really awesome, but all at least very good. The sound/style may have evolved, but still very much true to the genre.
Oh yeah, and then the endless Barnes vs Corpsegrinder and Legion vs Mortuus debates...
One difference....CC like walmart toys made by China....Marduk collects history and artifacts. Other then that as apart of music status... (which is what you are referring to) I agree....National treasures in each case!!

I like marduk,but Cannibal Corpse is far superior, more brutal, consistent and easily musically superior. I like Corpsegrinder, but Chris Barnes is the best vocalist. Nobody can touch him in his prime. Especially anyone from marduk. It's comments like yours that push me farther into DEATH METAL and away from black metal. You probably think mayhem is SATANIC too. No, DEICIDE is. Keep pushing the divide posers. Metal is Metal. Btw, lame a** crowd. Second this. Mortuus actually has a pretty impressive range for an extreme metal singer, and you don't really hear that on the first three Marduk records he was on.
I have to disagree. His studio vocals sound rotten in a good way. His live voice doesn't have that tinge of decay and groans that he utters occasionally on the records.
He sounds generic live, no offense to him. He sounds amazing in the studio.
Mortuus is just better in records and in live.🖤🐺
