Generally speaking how much would a z32 on the parts listed below be making WHP wise? I’m having a tough time trying to find a base line 1000cc injectors Walbro 485 E85 NA/TT 10.5:1 compression motor 16psi of boost Gt525 gen 1 turbos Tuned by you guys of course :)
Question for ya guys. I have a 94 TT motor bored out to 90mm. Eagle rods, wiseco pistons, arp studs and hardware. Not sure how many miles it has but a good chunk. I plan on getting it dynoed with a Haltech Platinum, water/methanol injection, dual Mac valves, dual wideband, Intake air temp sensor, oil/fuel pressure sensors, JWT Sport 500 turbos, and more less notable stuff. Planning on staying on pump gas (91) and boost around 18-20ish. Before I dyno/tune in the spring I would want to do a compression test beforehand, what would be the acceptable amount of pressure for a motor bored out that size?
It all comes down to the combination of octane, air flow (heads & turbo sizing). The bore size won't have a dramatic affect on how much boost pressure you can run due to fuel quality. So we find that on the VG running 91 octane the range is 14 to 17 psi in most cases. 18-20 would be too much unless you compensate by dropping ignition timing which can increase EGTs too much.
@specialtyz This would be 91 combined with water methanol. I mainly bring up the bore size as I've heard 90mm is more than people typically go, and am concerned about cylinder wall thickness.
@@evanpastorik8748 Understood, on WM or even just methanol injection that is totally doable. 90mm is definitely on the think side of things. It's been recommended to magnaflux and sonic test the block.
Never stop posting Seb! I enjoy watching these. Z32 guys have definitely needed some modern day knowledge.
Thank you!
Nice! Boost control next!
Another great vid! Always impressed with how thorough you are, especially with explaining things in detail.
Thank you!
