This is still upsetting to me on so many different levels. The beginning of the end, "Full Conley". Alcoholism is serious, mental health is serious. Not making excuses for Chris, but watching these 8 minutes play out is a front row seat to the impact these things have on your loved ones and relationships. I feel so bad for everyone else on that stage and how clearly uncomfortable it all was. Dan and Anthony want to be anywhere else in the world. Matt is trying to be the adult and rationalize with the drunk person, a useless feat. I hate this and I hate that this tour will never happen again. Wish it didn't have to be like this.
I saw him flip out on the rest of band one time because they wanted to take a set break during the show when it was a blizzard outside. He started screaming that everyone came here just to see them in a snowstorm and they weren’t going to stop playing anytime soon it was also awesome as equal as it was ridiculous
Oh man, Matt tried so hard to bring him back 😂 Pryor is such an awesome guy. I interviewed him waaay back in 2002(ish) and we basically just ended up hanging out and drinking a beer 😂
+Jordan Norris i think it was all in good fun...they've always been like that - joking around and making fun of one another. if that's not the case though, then i'm sure it's because matt was already annoyed with his childish behavior throughout the tour. all of the guys look fed up and embarrassed during the rant. it was pathetic and he clearly needs some sort of help.
The song Matt plays right after fits the situation perfectly haha "i really think you're bigger than this" "any focus on me is appreciated as it should be"
It's easy to have too much fun, but sometimes it keeps going even though we (I) don't want it to at times. I'm a huge fan since high school 2001! Rocks tonic juice magic - great song
Don't know how many times that I've seen Chris in concert over the past 15 years or so but man, that was hard to watch. Just felt bad for Dan, Andy, and Matt. Hope they continue doing the Where's the Band tour
I mean he has a freakin point...i was at this show...75% of the time i could hear the crowd talking over the guys playing...show some respect and be quiet when a musician is performing even if u dont like it...venue is cool but was filled with typical asbury yuppies with there beanies, beards, and craft beers trying to compete for coolness and scenepoints...which is why they were just standing there talking and not even caring about the performances...but yes he was also wasted...but who hasnt gotten a little two drunk once or twice ha
+kris garrison Same thing happened in Chicago. It was reallly annoying. I don't get why you'd pay a bunch of money to see a show and then spend the entire time talking. At least they got really sweet snap chat videos and instagram pictures to prove they were there!
I absolutely hate it when I go to shows and you can't even hear the performers over ambient chatter. Why did you spend $20+ to come out to a concert if you're just going to be talking the whole way through
I remember being here with a couple friends. When they all left the stage, I was like “Oh Lord...” then they all came back without Chris, and it was still a really good show... just wish we had Chris there for the entire show. You could tell how pissed Matt was..
He's just drunk. As a Jersey native, kinda shocks me that the crowd even wanted to talk during a Chris Conley appearance. It is their right; I'm just surprised by it.
Definitely a huge coincidence. Don't think he intended to play that specific song right after his rant. Just happened to be the next song on his list. It sure fit the storyline though
not sure if he was mad but yeah maybe confused or thrown off for a sec. You could tell Matt was super uncomfortable about the whole thing and was eager to move on...
Saw him go ballistic on a fan in Austin who he falsely accused of a random act of violence...he then went on to threaten to beat that person's ass himself. Later in the set he was confronted by his own band mates who profusely apologized to the crowd for Chris's behavior. Weird shit...
I was at this show and remember this clearly. Was the guy he was yelling at falsely accused? I was in the pit by the stage and Chris seemed really pissed off. Had no idea what happened or what he was yelling about
@@soylentgreen5596 I think it was being directed towards someone who was in the pit...maybe he thought someone got rough with a girl? I'm really not sure. It was bizarre. It seemed like no one was sure who he was defending or threatening...and no one other than him seemed to be offended (aside from his band by his actions). But it was weird to watch him act so tough... Anyway I really hope the guy's doing alright seems like he's got some mental issues and a drinking problem.
Kinda not not hard to see why he’s gone through more band mates than a lot band’s. Still love his band, but I’ve met Dan and Matt, and wasn’t impressed with how they treated a lot of fan’s.
@@superwalt2159 yeah, I had read that he left right before SOUND THE ALARM. You can Tell that Chris was in a really bad place at the time if you listen to the Album. “All night I dream that they’re really out to get me. The line’s on my face getting deeper everyday, and I’m not at all delusional.” Love the guitar on that song.
I don't know who most of the guys on stage are, but I have huge respect for the dude trying to manage and calm down this Conley fella while also being professional and saving the show.
This is the correct response. Clearly he's haunted by some things that none of us know about. Yeah, his behavior sucks. But, I hope he can clear those things up in his head, too. We give up on each other too often in society. Get better, Chris. Love you man.
Justin Olson unfortunately Chris has been spiraling downward for awhile now. I was listening to a podcast after this occurrence in which Chris was a guest and it sounded like his life has had a dramatic shift over the past few years. They mentioned how he really likes drinking and hanging out at bars which explains his intoxication in this video. There's another video of them playing in Chicago last September and again Chris did not seem at all with it.. He was spewing odd phrases into the microphone and was just making noise with his guitar.. I really hope he can pull himself together soon.

Why be so rash in your words when you don't know the whole story? I feel as if he suffers from Border Line Personality Disorder, due to dissimilar vocals in albums...as if he's trying to find who he truly is. That and coupled with Major Depressive Disorder . It's common that when one is in consistent pain ...it's only human to try to desperately find some respite from an internal suffering, but it's also common to accept life as is. Be more kind bro.
All the sycophantic replies in support of Chris. Did you ever stop to think why STD have had SO many band changes? The guy is a control freak / douchebag. The crowd paid their money out their own wages, if they want to stand there and play Uno with eachother, so what? You paid your money, do what you want. I dont care if he was drunk, i would never do that to my paying customers, wasted or otherwise.
Talking during a show, especially an acoustic one, is disruptive and inconsiderate to others trying to enjoy the performance as well as to the performers themselves.
Literally the poster child of Millennial entitlement. I wonder if he realizes all those people in the audience pay for his families shit? Acting as if he is doing them a favor, when in fact, it is the other way around.
It's about respect for the art. Chris had a solid point. If people are talking loud that they over cast the music then they are ruining it for the rest of the crowd. I would of gotten in a fucking fight

underrated post
You're a Saves The Day fanboi
Stop it 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭
Chris and Matt have such unique voices. This is what drew me to them what seems like a lifetime ago.
This makes me want to buy all the GUK merch because Matt is just so trying to diffuse this whole shitshow
Matt is such an amazing guy

Saw Saves the Day a few weeks ago. Chris is looking much healthier and doesn't seem to be drinking before his performances.
I see Dan from Alkaline Trio back there... What a show this would've been

Matt called Chris an emo pussy 3 or 4 times in DC like 5 nights before this. I think Chris was returning the hatred

verzure seriously, I figured that most would be there to see the homegrown kid in a unique performance you may never get to see again.
A lot of people are saying he is pissed as if it’s an excuse for being a whiny entitled little child, it is not.
This is pretty extreme... Hope Chris is okay, this is definitely out of his usual behaviour
Well, I guess we can all see why Eben, Dave, Ted, Bryan, annnnnd everyone else ended up not sticking around…

Is that Dan Andriano to the left?
Yes it is
