The seats can be fixed easily with some clips direct from recaro, they used to send them out for free but have since stopped. They charge a small amount for them now. Happens on every single model of corsa vxr. I have a 2016 corsa E VXR with the performance pack, full leather heated seats, winter pack. It’s a brilliant little car.
I loved my 07 Corsa Vxr. Bought it with just 8k on the clock, it soon needed a gearbox(luckily under warranty) then needed another box rebuild at around 25k. Lowered 25mm H&R springs, remus down pipe, panel filter, Such a superb handling little thing. Engine wise was trouble free I was always scared to have it mapped due to piston 4 issue.

@robert Willis na totally understand that mate and understand cars my thing is what was they thinking at vauxhall Luton ? If you have a shoddy gear box no point tryna put 200 horse power through it makes no sense why they would design and produce it knowing gear bo can't handle it
got a 2012 vxr, stage 2, 3inch piper with sports cat, aem cone filter and lowered on 15mm eibach's. had to do replace the 6th gear bearing about 2 years ago, common on these when you start to get a whine coming from the gearbox area. and I had to replace the clutch about a year ago. apart from that, had no real engine trouble. running 220bhp. runs like a dream. not forged either. people get scared about the piston 4 issue but if you take care of it and do a full yearly service every time, you should be fine. only done 26k miles as well and they are going up in value.
Good old M32 gearbox, shame it took them so long to beef up but I find it odd how unmapped you needed 2 replacements on a corsa. Thought it was more of a problem on mapped diesels or even bigger power tuned astra VXRs
Had to take my wife's Corsa VXR for the MOT the other day, rarely drive it, fun little car so took the long way home! She won't part with it despite suggesting to get something else, probably worth a reasonable amount, 9 years old with 13,600 miles on the clock. 12-mile weekly commute to work keeps the miles down, one bonus is that it only needs petrol every 3 months.
I've had my corsa nurburgring for about a year now and love it!! All of the upgrades make this car an absolute gem to drive. Only downside is the exhaust note isnt that great. Mines in glacier white with 55k on the clock. I think they made 500 in each colour but only 500 were numbered.
I don’t think any Nurburgring editions were numbered but, same as clubsport no one of them were numbered and they only sold about 250 of them, arctic and vx racing edition were numbered from factory

I have the clubsport VXR and it is just a character of a car I fully love the car. Petrol isn’t great but doesn’t matter the exhaust sound is insane specially when you pop and bang

I had the exact same car on a 63 plate. Loved it but exhaust was very quiet and got rid due to starting a family. My lsd had to be replaced around 10k miles on warranty as it permanently locked up. And the book 0-60 was 6.9 seconds if I remember rightly

Most people who drive them are young and are just getting into cars. Second of all, the 4th piston goes because people run bigger power with stock supporting mods such as injectors and con rods. In addition, most are badly mapped and fuel air ratio is rubbish as a result of incorrect mods etc. Do your research before chatting shite mate
Yes ive just remembered and watched it over and Calvin liked the car but not the power delivery and said that a remap would sort it right out. Would still like to see if he could get one in get it mapped and do a planetofdreams on it

I’ve got a normal corsa vxr, facelift 2012 model in Arden blue. Had it 5 years now on 77k, stock engine just got an exhaust and visuals on it and cannot fault mine at all. I reckon these cars are well worth the money. Nice to see a burg featured in this video.
Shame vauxhall (I mean Peugeot) dropped the VXR brand completely. These were really good cars for young people who wanted something less common than a fiesta ST.
Really like these and you don't often see them. Bit more expensive to run than a Fiesta ST and were more expensive to purchase new but I love seeing them about
Best colour imho and same as mine altho mine is far from standard now tho and the piper turbo back system makes all the right noises.. I may be 54 years old but you never get too old or tired of the noise of these when you nail the throttle and get that nice pop on the over run😂😎👍

The Nürburgring Corsa D is the older version of a Corsa E VXR with performance package. The Corsa E with PP has the better breaks, better suspeons and also a drechsler diff. I drive one of these. :)

astra VXR's are from the golden age of hot hatch backs if you ask me, always liked the Corsa's, though they were a bit newer they still kept that OG hot hatch shape/look that most manufactures moved from... shame that vauxhall have so many issues, the gear boxes are literally made of cheese for a start ahah I think they used the same engine in the astra 1.6 turbo (non VXR model and quite a rarity) I might be wrong though! EDIT: haha yes calv you mentioned the cylinder and gearbox issues aha

Seat issue is normal, you can get a clip set from Recaro, they send it out to you free, just email them. Another great video, I miss mine.
Was around 900 Nürburgring Editions and was only 250 Clubsports. Had a Clubsport VXR myself and loved it.

these VXR's are very underrated. Nice to see one on the channel. I thoroughly enjoy my Astra GTC VXR, Zafira VXR and Vectra VXR

Very good car, I had a Sri turbo vx line. Stage one map, 275 bhp and 330 ibft, 0-60 in less than 6 and 160 flat out, plus 4 wheel drive. 👍
