BOBBY DARIN: THE LOST PERFORMANCES

  • When the The Bobby Darin Show was released on DVD a few years ago, many fans were rightly outraged by the amount of songs by Bobby that were edited out of the series. Here is the audio for five of those missing performances - unheard in public since the show first aired forty-six years ago. This includes an alternate version of Bridge Over Troubled Water from episode 2, different from the one familiar to fans from the Mack is Back DVD which was recorded more than two months later. This version of Bridge easily ranks within the top ten performances by Bobby within the series, and should not be missed!
    The songs are:
Fire and Rain (aired: February 2, 1973)
Lonesome Road (aired: February 9, 1973)
Guys and Dolls (aired: April 20, 1973)
I Get a Kick Out of You (aired: March 23, 1973)
Bridge Over Troubled Water (aired: Jan 26, 1973)

Bobby was in a class by himself and had his own brand of excellence! Not many could touch him then, and none, absolutely none can touch him today!
He puts today's singers to shame! He could swing hard to! I miss Bobby, wish he was here today to show everybody how its done!

There will never, ever be another Bobby Darin. Although everyone is an individual ,and everyone has some sort of talent, Bobby was one in a million in show business and I am so glad he is finally, these last years, being recognized for the MAJOR talent he was. He was so popular in the late 50s, and then in the early 60s in his great film performances, and after he passed away, I felt he was forgotten by all but his ardent fans. I am glad that so many people who remember, or who have just discovered him by way of the internet, have banded together to give this multi-talented man the recognition he so rightfully deserves.

I was born on the 70's, never heard of him. I have to thank What Women Want, where I heard my first Bobby's song, Mack the knife. That drove me to research about the singer, and then following the rabbit's hole.
Now I'm glad my children love him as much as I do.

Dear God!! Thank you and Bless you for gifting us with this, the truth! His voice truly a Blessing. His very life not allowed to flourish to its zenith and impart upon us the wonder and magic of his God given talent. Bobby had gifts that were meant for all of humanity. Thank you so very much for remembering and restoring a part of that truth. Thank you, Bobby for following your heart and blessing us with your voice, vision and the pure beauty of Bobby Darin! This world is a better place even though we were robbed when your life was cut so short and we were deprived of all that might have been had you continued to sing humanity into a new world. If you are not there if and when it comes to Pass, neither will i. Because a world without you & your magnificent voice, is no world at all. For all you gave, thank you... Blessings. Prayers. My hope......

Elvis was a wannabe black man who recorded songs written by black men and even copied their voices. If you don’t believe me, look up Otis Blackwell on here. He wrote “Don’t Be Cruel” and “Return to Sender.” Ask yourself “who’s copying who?” Elvis was a fraud.
