    Aaron,
    And that is why, in addition to their rarity, that fossils may be pricey to purchase.
    A real labor of love, but the results are a window into very ancient times.

    10:20 hold on! You have deactivated glue and a spray activator??? that’s awesome!!! I hate having to get new superglue which seals itself shut and sticks my fingers together and sticker fossils together in the wrong position! That’s soo helpful! I would ask where but I’m going to guess ZOIC Palaeotech (not like it doesn’t say it on the tin!

    Hey I get the electrical tape would help with grip but does it also help with vibrations? And what vibration gloves do you use?

    • @marksmith2885
      @marksmith2885 Год назад

      It's actually a rubberised tape we use. The pens come fitted with a rubber sleeve but we add an extra layer mainly to protect the existing coating from glues etc and simply replace as necessary . The glove is a standard padded work glove😃👍

      Don’t worry about how long! Some of us have time to spare but I suspect that’s not necessarily true for you Aaron. How about a fixed camera that is focused on where you’re dad is working. Commentary is helpful, especially an introduction, but for those who watch your channel we’re getting to know about the different pens and when you use them. Like another viewer I could watch them all day! Thanks for making

    Finally get a fossil prep video. Thanks. Most of it was very cool
    Camera skills needs some work.
    Leave the camera where the action is, the tip of the pen.
    No useless panning around or zooming in and out.
    Definitely no taking it out of focus or shots of the back of your dad’s head 😂
    Kudos to your dad, he’s got the process down pat.

    For anyone interested, there is a stark difference in feeling and sound when your hitting fossil to when your hitting rock. It’s almost as if the rock becomes more like sand when your using the tool and the fossil becomes rock. The only problem is that by the time you feel or hear it, you’ve often put a little hole in it.
