- Hello everyone! Welcome to the Plumber Story Channel.
Please answer the questions in the video.
fat, oil, grease, FOG, fatberg...whatever
I hope you're always happy and safe.
Thanks for always leaving kind comments.
God bless you. Хобби
Excellent diagrams which really helped to understand where your hose was going. If there is a blockage in that main outlet, then everyone suffers!
There is a beauty in how the water rises, recedes, rises again, feels like progress is made.
It's a very difficult English expression for me.
It seems philosophical and poetic.
I feel that you are a good person.
Very well explained
Another excellent job. Well done!
In Scotland we refer to these blobs as fatbergs
oil? Is out👀
Thank you for your hard work👍

You have to tell the housewifes to stop dumping old cooking oil down the drain. I'm in the US, but you guys named it fatburg. So thats what I call it.
If I say so, they will forget me.
I want to be loved for a long time.
What about the men who cook?
A lot of places call it a fatberg. Americans would confuse fatbergs with their girlfriends.
@@KenSharp I've been laughing like crazy since I saw your comment
Another great video and job done!
That one took some doin’ didn’t it! 😀

Thank you always.

Fatberg….Our plumbers here do not use water jetting,it’s more like a dry jetting..Roto rooter or they use a spring. Our bathrooms have separate bath tubs and shower enclosures, no floor drains.
That's a good question because I do all types of cleaning sometimes we call it crud or compact Grease
Next time do it from the outside, so you don’t get all that mess inside the house… it’s called “fedt” in danish
Finally a like-minded person, that's how we learned it too. I'm surprised there are a lot of plungers that start on the wrong side. Can someone explain to me why?
iwas thinking the same...............
I completely agree with you, I was wondering the same thing. May be he'll posts an explanation
Due to the structure of buildings in Korea, it is sometimes impossible from the outside.
This is because the building was made so well.
They didn't make a building by designing it to fix it easily.
There are even buildings without clean-out plugs.
But the new building is changing in a good way.
Thank you for teaching me in Danish.
In English it can be called "fat" or "grease". It can be called a "fatburg" if a large amount of it collects and blocks a sewer or drain. The word "fatburg" was invented about 10 years ago to describe a collection of hard fat the size of a bus that was discovered blocking a main sewer in London, UK. If it's liquid its called oil. Fat is from an animal source such as fat on meat or milk or cream. Grease can be from an animal source or petroleum source such as the soft solid grease used to lubricate car wheel bearings and steering parts. Neither belongs in any kind of drain or sewer. Commercial kitchens in the USA and Australia are required to have "grease traps" also called "grease interceptors" to separate and collect the oil and grease before the kitchen wastewater goes into the main public sewer. They do have to be cleaned/pumped out regularly or the grease will fill up and then flow out to the main public sewer or flood the kitchen. The wasrewater from the restaurant's toilet goes directly to the main sewer. Private homes and apartments don't have grease traps but most people are taught to never put oil or grease down the kitchen drain to avoid problems. Fat translates to "jibang" in Korean. Grease translates to "yugi" in Korean. Oil translates to "gileum" in Korean. "Fat" can also refer to a big or overweight person or animal in English.
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
I'm thinking about which word to choose in my video.
Koreans are also taught to never put oil or grease down the kitchen drain to avoid problems.
Learning and practicing are different.
In addition, Korea's unique piping method also plays a role.
You can see a lot of oil in the video of a Korean plumber.
👍
^_____^
In the USA this is called kitchen fat!🇺🇸
kitchen fat!!
Thanks for letting me know in the comments.
I don't think there is a special word for lumps of fat/grease that stick to the inside of pipes in German. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fettberg is just the germanization of fatberg, which comes from iceberg, which comes from Dutch/German "berg" for mountain. "Fettklumpen"/"Fettkrusten" maybe, but it's not pipe specific. Have a great day!
Thanks for the kind explanation.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk to a German.
In my country it's called a headache. 🤣
When I saw your comment, I laughed like crazy for 10 minutes.
I want to use your comment as the title someday.
Thank you for making me laugh.
The same way fat clog up blood vessels and arteries ,is pretty much what happens to sewer lines ! and that stuff can become as hard as grout..
In the UK. it's a fatburg.
It is called zsír lerakódás or zsír hegy in Hungarian :))) Good job!
12:36 in greece called "skata"

I wonder what were the client thoughts seeing all that mess in his bathroom. Why did you not clean it from the outside pipe instead ?
I cleaned the pipe outside.
My partner filmed a video outside, but there was no fun scene, so I removed it.
Should we make part three?
The client was very upset.
She was planning to move.
@@PlumberStory I think you're being asked why did you have to make the mess inside if you can access the clog from the manhole? It's certainly what I'm wondering.
FOG (Fats Oil and Grease)
Thank you for your answer.
Let me ask you one more question.
How many percent of people around you expect to know the word FOG?
@@PlumberStory It's an industry term, so those working in the field will know it. But not a term an average person would understand.
I missed a deer a few days ago.. and probably destroyed my vehicle. Bruised, but im ok! big aigoo time :\
In USA it's called grease
Thank you so much for letting me know in the comments.
I hope the lower the floor, the less rent you pay.
When buying and selling, the lowest floor is relatively cheap.
Even if it's cheap, people who experience this problem avoid living on the lower floors.
Because it is not a problem that appears in all buildings, there are many people who are unaware of this problem even in Korea for the rest of their lives.
That's alot of Grease. How is used cooking oil disposed of where you are?
We just dispose of it as waste.
We don't collect this separately.
But the sewage treatment plant turns it into fuel.
The sewage treatment plant collects it and converts it into fuel.
The waste oil used in restaurants is converted into soap.
Canada : Fatbergs
Thank you for your unwavering love for a long time.
In dutch: vet
But I think it is oil that that’s thickened? Than it is: Olie
In spain its called grasa
Thank you for the first comment.
I watch ratty and Korean drain block. Not hating, but why power wash from inside? Just different from their approaches, so I'm curious.
There are many buildings without sewer cleanout plugs.
There are many cases where you can't reach the blocked area from the manhole.
Sometimes some buildings have no choice because they can't reach a blockage from a manhole.
It's possible in the ceiling on the first floor, but you have to break down several places on the ceiling.
Therefore, the cost increases.
Korean people are relatively generous with working inside.
They don't have much resistance to it.
