As a female pinball owner/player/enthusiast I'd like to say that I love this artwork and how sexy it looks. Alice brandishing the Vorpal Sword on the side of the backbox looks powerful and inspiring. I don't know what happened to all these men but I love how you put it out there at the end of your previous video.
@@clifbpinballn I see, it seems the problem stems from people assuming Disney's cartoon version was the definitive interpretation of the story and anything that differs too much from it, even when it's closer to the original source material, doesn't manipulate your sense of nostalgia enough for your subconscious to accept it. I've seen the same poor argument time and time again, actually being a fan of the books and enjoying the wide range of interpretations that have come out over the years, many of which had older teen or adult versions of Alice, which seems more appropriate considering the context of her adventures. I know you may be afraid of being called sexist for liking it, or gay for not liking it, but what would people call you for insisting that you would prefer to see a child on the artwork instead of an adult?
@@AmigaCammy Never was into Alice in Wonderland at all. I think Tim Burton version would be expensive and not that great but it's watchable. I've seen it once when it hit hbo back in the day. I think more like that was at least creative and alot going on to work with. I was just thinking it would be more quirky and wired. Like a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Beetle Juice. It's not any of that for sure. My Bad!
Dude, Melvin… you just sold this machine out FAST. The art is amazing. The game looks amazing. Don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s awesome you are going to fix callouts. Can’t wait to play this. Amazing job!
I don't think the trailer was all that bad. The pinball crowd will literally bitch about anything. Remember Jaws? Now look at it. Jaws is a very well respected machine and sold like gang busters and is probably still selling well. Folks need to chill and give it time. However with products that cost this much expectations are very high.
Machine is beautiful. I knew that it would sell out immediately. It’s hard for me to throw down that much cash when I’ve never played it . Hopefully get a few games at Expo . But honestly if I play it and Love it , it will eat at my soul that I didn’t put the money down for it . All around it was fantastic!! See y’all at Expo !
Watching the game play stream I think we know where the trailer came from. This part was really hard to watch. Can we get Jack in here to do this? Maybe Karl? LOL, can we take that anti-glare glass off because there's too much glare!
1.) It’s a TOTALLY respectable & serviceable pin, but at a price not commensurate w its package. 2.) More pins for our beloved hobby is GOOD for said hobby (unless they’re about BBQ brisket). 3.) Anyone squeamish over risqué cartoon art, remember this: pinball machines don’t go in churches. In 2024, this couldn’t be more TAME in that respect; I didn’t see any “spreadies” or Mothra-size vajayjay exposure. 🤔 🤷♂️ Keep on _chooglin,_ Melvin! The broads really tie the game together. 🤩🤟
Started to watch but realized you had the human cartoon and self-fellating Kaneda on as well and I just can’t stand him so I’ll catch the next video and chat with you all on patreon!
My likes and dislikes, for anyone that might be interested. Likes: 1. Love the theme 2. Love the plastics, very unique 3. Love the upper playfield 4. Like the playfield artwork for the most part 5. The sculpts look really good 6. I like the topper, very well sculpted, I like the eyes. If there was a complaint I wish it did more. 7. I like the mirrored art blades. Concern with how durable they are. 8. Like the lamp posts 9. I like the pocket watch 10. I like the animations and cut scene artwork 11. The little out lane discs are pretty cool. Do they work? Will they have an impact? Time will tell if we ever see this thing again in some real game play videos because very few will ever play one. Dislikes: 1. Only 500 produced, this tunes me out real fast. Either make pinballs or don't. Don't play this boutique BS. With just 500 in the world it's a non-entity. The vast majority of people will never see this after the few that are in shows are sold off. They will get shuffled off to private collectors who only turn them on to impress their friends and off they'll go. Am I wrong? 2. The character artwork, especially Alice looks like a young teen's wet dream art project. I don't care about the nature of the characters. They just don't look well drawn. The concept art was much better IMHO. Alice's proportions look off especially her head and her hair. There's just something not right in my eyes and I really don't like looking at her. The Queen is fine. 3. Shots look limited and uninspired. 4. The shots don't look to shoot very well. A lot of shots to the upper left side of the playfield just rattled around and came back down. 5. The very left up and down shot would've been way more interesting with some drop targets. As is it's pretty uninteresting. The rest are just meh or toss ups, it's pinball. It's fine. Does it scream high $12K? Eeehhhhh, my opinion on this doesn't matter one bit.
I completely agree 100% . By only making 500 it makes it really hard for most people to get their hands on it . And it will disappear into oblivion until someone puts one on FB marketplace for 25k .
I admit I skipped through a lot but is it even possible to hit that ramp that feeds the left flipper? I don't see the ball ever make it around that tight shot through the pops and all the way around...this look like possibly the worst shooting pinball machine we have seen in a decade, haha. The only mildly interesting shot is the turnaround one on the left. No cool bash toy, no satisfying ramps, super cramped, ball disappears all the time. Big yikes.
Sex sells sure but can we please leave it out of already defined classics like Alice in Wonderland? This theme should not need scantily clad artwork there is endless ideas from the Alice universe.
Kaneda is so unbearable. Hate seeing him with someone like Cary. A massive egotistical bully that manipulates, and lies with a kind clever honest person. Sorry you had to do this Cary.
Is this what it takes to sell a $12,500 game nowadays? Two amateur streamers simultaneously giving the maximum benefit of the doubt? The mistake DPX did was announce this game for sale before this particular stage was complete. This interview was supposed to be convincing? My takeaway is that I'm not convinced that this deserves my money. Sold out already? Yeah, I don't believe that at all. Maybe you sold some spots w/ deposits, but those will be on Pinside for the next year. Flipping pinall machines is so 2020, now its all about grabbing a spot and flipping it for a profit. I would love to know the % of people who actually have a desire to buy this and not flip their spot. No toys in the $12,500 game because that's how it was originally designed? Gimmie a break. You had the ability to make improvements, you just didn't want to because you couldn't because you didn't have the full rights to it. You figured you could bring this to market and it would be good enough. To me, it looks like a very nice looking box of lights in which you can store all of Lior's finest sculpts. Yes, Melvin seems like a nice guy, but maybe he should have hired some other advisers before attempting to take this game primetime. For me, the fact that this game has anything to do w/ JPOP is a red flag that cannot be overcome with any amount of backtracking at this point. Thanks for the interview/vid though Hardy.

It's specific taste, just because someone doesn't like the style doesn't mean they're anti-cleavage. Snap out of it
The game looks awesome! Thank you Cary, Chris and Melvin for this video.😍🙏🏻 Hope the game sells well!

Yeah the trailer was fine. Everything ieither has to be the best ever or absolute garbage these days. That is the way of the internet.
Beautiful game❤
I love it. For a collector it would fit perfectly between totan and labyrinth
Or in-between your boat and the dock as an anchor.
Thanks for the stream. I learned a bunch and liked what I heard.

I love the idea of the sound folder being open. Would be awesome if every company did that.
Game is pretty but the shots just aren’t there. Good luck to DPX
It looks really fricken cool, unless you want to play it!
i LIKE this. Cary yuo are a perfectionist, I can,t wait till I can play this.
This PSO music in the intro is sick
😅

LOL @ Kaneda muttering about his glasses while Cary's doing the wrap-up.
Looks amazing . . Hope to see a proper gameplay video soon coz this was really annoying to watch with all the blurry video and sound delays etc .
