You've really gotten better since your first few videos and I am so happy. Been here since the beginning! I'm learning a lot but I don't get bored with the financial terms. Thanks a lot!!!
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 85K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice?
Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience. If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.
The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

Dividend ETFs are great to have in a portfolio! I’d rather buy these instead of picking many individual dividend focused stocks. VUG is one of my favorites as well
Great videos. Only thing, I have to keep pausing to take notes and I feel as if you go through them a bit fast.. Might have to play this at half speed lol.

Thank you for another great content! I have a question I am in my mid 40s and just opened a new ROTH IRA. This is what I came up with: VTI 50% SCHD 15% VXUS 15% REITs 10% BND 10% Please let me know what you think of this. Thank you so much for all your videos!!!
Could you please add the cost per share (at time of filming)of any stocks you suggest to save us some time of having to look them up individually while watching your videos? Also could you start suggesting more ETFs or stocks that are under $100? Not everyone can afford even 1 SPY or VOO share. Hope you consider. Thank you.
Not an ETF of dividend stocks, but an ETF that pays dividends - QYLD has worked well for me. It's a Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF, and is considered a good hedge against bearish markets.
QYLD has gone from $25 to $17 in price. I was reading your reply and wondered why you bought it and if you still think it's good long term or if you got out. The reason I ask is because I bought JEPI for a while....also a covered call type ETF, but I have noticed that the dividend is lower.... although the price seems to have stabilized.
@@Maryann-hk4mr I have sold my QYLD position a little while ago. Don't remember why, probably to buy a more favorable stock, I've gone with dividend growth for a while.
Just contributed some $$$ to SDY after watching this video! As per usual, you never disappoint! Congratulations on your ongoing success! I’m happy that your channel is getting more steam and attention! Continue to make these videos and pray that I get a raise so I can join you in crypto! Hope all is well. ✨
I've finally decided to start investing (at 19) and i think ETFs are the way to go, honestly...yes,I'm young, but since i dont have a lot of money to start, starting to build up capital using ETFs so to make riskier moves down the line seems like a good startegy to me
Making up to 1000$ a month requires that you find a Monthly ETF. AVERAGING ABOUT .05-3$ PER SHARE. THESE ETFs vary in price. As such it effects how quickly you grow your dividends
Question! if you've been gambling in stocks for so long and finally want to settle down in ETFs and get a Roth and contribute 6.5k or whichever limit this year is. Do you A) All in multiple ETF funds or DCA off the bat?
ETFs are diversified, which is good! Stocks are riskier since you'd be investing only in one company as opposed to owning a little bit of each of the SP500 for example...
Hey Humphrey do you do any credit card videos? I would love to hear your thoughts on this Benjamin credit card everyone is talking about! Thank you for all you do!
Dividends based ETFs are always a good investment choice, regardless of your age. What may change along the years is the percentage of allocation you have on these ETFs. He may told you he sees as a dumb idea because Dividends ETFs doesn't have much growth as small caps ETFs for example. But dividends etfs are supposed to be exactly like this, they are supposed to give you a steady passive income with a low volatility.
What are ETF fees base on? Is it based on the original amount that was invested or is based on value of the ETF at certain time in the year?. For example that you used 10000$ has fee for 30$ on a 0.003%. if the value of ETF goes up next year to 20000$ are paying 60$ in fees? Same goes if ETF value drops aswell.
The benchmark for your age group was 60 (equities) / 40 (bonds). I used to use this and part of the 40% included 10% that was a cash reserve versus using 3-4 months of expenses to cover lost of job. The 60 / 40 is undergoing. Hence, I would recommend keeping on top of what Humphrey shares on his channel.
PLEASE HELP: If I buy 10 shares of AAPL, 9 being before the exdividend date and 1 being after. Will I still receive dividends for the 9 shares I bought before the exdividend date or no. I don’t know a lot about investing. But my guess is the cost of the taxes and processing fees you’d pay, would far exceed what you would make on the dividend

If the expense ratio is .3 you pay $300 for every 10k, not $3
No, it’s .3%. So, multiply by .003. It would be $30.
What if somebody bought $1,000,000 a day before the dividend then sold after collecting
I don’t know a lot about investing. But my guess is the cost of the taxes and processing fees you’d pay, would far exceed what you would make on the dividend
