Doctor, you have got a good sense of humor. Doctor based on my personal experience I had a severe hair loss due to Corona. I applied rosemary oil with starch and baby shampoo. There is a great difference, but I haven't got the same density, yet it's improving.

That's Telogen effluvium. Which is temporary hair loss. Even if you apply absolutely nothing 80% of your hair will grow back automatically.

I've used 5% minoxidil for my hair loss treatment for about 4 months. But once i stopped using it, I again started losing hair. It is good for temporary prevention but I don't think it has a permanent effect.

Yes I agree. I have experienced the same!
Tip:- I took carrot juice and beet root juice 3 days in a week and Finasride every alternate day and exercise daily from an hour, my hair density became 3times thicker. Just wanted to share this so that it would help other . And exercise will really play a important role .

I have reversed hairloss with Minoxidil to a great extent...But sometimes once or twice a year my hair sheds rapidly and then it stops and new hair comes and density is balanced ....I have very thin hair which is still before and after ...But number of of hairs is definitely more now then it was 3 years back... Minoxidil works only when you have Androgenic Alopacia that's family genetics of hairloss ... Other underlying issues require different treatments

No,best medications for hairloss are finasteride/dutasteride which reduces scalp DHT and control your hairloss working as first line of defense.Minoxidil is secondary line of defense which is not required if you caught your hairloss at early stages.
But finasteride interferes with periods so take advice before using

I have used Minoxidil. The first month I saw a heavy shedding of my hair. But that's a positive sign because Minoxidil is shedding all those weak and thin hair that will eventually fall afterwards.
In the third month, I started seeing new hair regrowth. But unfortunately, as a side effect, it gave me dark circles. My face was looking as if I have applied black color under my eyes. So, I eventually stopped it and within a month, all my new hairs shed at a rapid rate.
So, the point is - Minoxidil can regrow hair but you have to keep applying it lifelong with some or no side effects.
Use rednysl a derivative of minoxidil. And also use rosemary oil.
@@colours8846 I think people should first check their blood. I recently did my blood test and I have found that I have deficiency of Vitamin D, Vitamin B-12 and little liver problem. All of them contribute to hair thinning and hair loss. So, fixing them might resolve my hair loss. Let's see.

Minoxidil is not good at all for long term use in the case of Androgenic alopecia, it will stop working after 1-2 year.
My doc said im developing an androgenic alopecia .which is seen when I have wet hair or oiled hair.

Why you doctors don't speak about its side effects when patients stop using it. Its has side effects as increase blood pressure if a patient using regularly the hairfall again fall when one left using min oxidil. Secondly it is not recommended in general after consult it should be given for very short period of time. Please you should put note that it should be recommended only after doctor consult else any Tom dick Harry after seeing video visit medical store buy and using it without any consult

All natural remedies are useless as none of them are clinically approved or backed with well researched
Chemical free things are a myth. Even the air we inhale consists of Oxygen,Carbon Dioxide which are also chemical elements and compounds. Chemical is not a bad thing,harmful chemical is. Natural remedies are just marketing gimmicks. They don't do anything special.
Minoxidil is quite expensive and cannot be stopped, if stopped it will be back to square one. Castor oil mixed with vitamin E applied to hair is an affordable and sustainable solution.

Dr. I want to share my experience with two kinds of hair oil.
1. Ramtirth Brahmi oil.
I am 60 now. I have been using it from my teenage. My hair is still long and black. My husband started using it after our marriage. His hair is also black and thick.He is 62 now.
This available in popular medical stores.
2.Vatika Cactus oil. Accidentally I started using it for one year. To my surprise ,i noticed that new hair is coming at the age of 50. This oil is not available in India ,i available online.
Also during my childhood , my grandmother used to make hair oil with Cactus.
*What I feel ,if apply Cactus 🌵 gel on head regularly, there will be some noticeable changes*

These medicines like propecia (and all families of finasteride) have huge side effects which will turn your life upside down. Till date(12.Sep.2023) there are no recovery for those side effects. Please read Post Finasteride Symptoms(PFS) in Internet. These are the symptoms faced by people who took Finasteride (i. e) Propecia used to treat hair loss. The symptoms are irreversible.
I do not want anyone to go through that hell and hence I am telling.
If you feel that you will jump into the well and then only you will understand, it is up to you.

if you once applied minioxidil, you've to use it forever. if you stop, the reverse effect will be double. i.e. ore hair loss.

I also have hypothyroidism. I follow my lifestyle changes and my hair loss is restricted even after my child birth without any supplements. I take good nutritious diet. I mostly avoid outside food or store bought raw materials( I mean the packed ones) for cooking. I've not lost my postpartum weight and I'm not exercising but still I see good results.
Avoid refined oil
Check if you are gluten or lactose intolerant through a gene test, eliminate them in the diet.
Have Brazil nut 1 or 2 everyday for 3 to 6 months
Have soaked nuts everyday start with small quantity to check Intolerance 2 almonds, 3 pista, 3 walnut, figs, lotus seeds roasted, roasted flax seed and soaked chia seeds.
Eventually increase after checking your tolerances
Have lot of green leaves vegetables
Organic amla powder with organic honey

Minoxidil has close to 50% success rate and that too depends on the level of your hair loss. Then there are some side-effects to both Minoxidil and Finasteride which doctors don't talk about openly.

Hey, you should consult your doctor about such issues they will be able to provide some alternative. and yes minoxidil does reverse the effects when you stop using it. there are alternative but it depends what's your underlying hair problems, if it's not much and hair just started falling there are other hair serums like minimalist 18%, stbotanica, ordinary multi peptide hair serum. and most important focus on your diet eat more protein, vitamin( you can search which type diet you should follow in hair loss managing your diet does alot of work), also manage stress.
Just do these few things and follow Doctor's advice regarding this, some doctor may not suggest those serums as they don't have as much scientific backing as minoxidil. Just follow other things diet stress and exercise these things will make your hair better
