Pastor Jentezen, Thank you for your message today. I love to listen to your sermons on my really tough days for I know God uses you to speak to me. In 2001 my divorce was final. I lost a 16 year marriage, 3 children and the only life I knew. I turned to alcohol to dull the pain. When that didn’t work I attempted suicide twice. My life was in a downward spiral or so I thought. God was using all this loss and change to glorify himself as he does with each of us. In 2005 I moved to central Kansas. The beginning of my ascent of that gutter you talked about in this sermon. I finally stopped trying to do everything on my own and submitted to Jesus’ love and grace. God is an amazing God. On August 18, 2013 I was born again. That date is significant because that was the date I married my ex husband in 1984. God took that date and baptized me into a new life. A life of love, forgiveness, mercy. He is moving me and reconciling my children to me on the High places. God is good all the time. Thank you pastor for encouraging me to keep climbing through the lies and snares of the enemy!!!!

I'm from Uganda and I totally agree with the principal of not settling for second option. While listening to this awesome summon I felt my spirit desire to know more about Uganda and Gods plan for it. Uganda is the source of the river Nile and we all know the significance of that bibilically, ain't no country in Africa that has better fertile soils, better climate and better fresh waters than Uganda. The people of Uganda love and support Israel like their own. Yes even financially. I believe God wouldn't also let Uganda be occupied because God had great complimentary plans btn Uganda and Israel for His own glory. I believe that Uganda was Gods first option for Ugandans. God bless Israel and Uganda.

Do you guys sing choruses? Just wondering if the congregation gets an opportunity to sing along to songs that they know. I know the words are projected but there is a difference when you get to sing and worship to a song you know. Just wondering:)
Interesting. This sermon is like the complete opposite of what televangelist Joel Osteen says in his sermon #611 Be Comfortable With Who You Are or With Where You Are. And if you listen to enough sermons from the same televangelist, often they will tell you to do different things in different sermons that are completely opposite! It is interesting that there is less and less use of scriptures in sermons on TV. Joel for instance, only quoted one scripture in the sermon. And didn't explain how his sermon was based on scripture!!! Jentezen also talks a lot without necessarily basing it on scriptures or explaining how it is based on scripture, as he tries to tie in stories to his sermon.
