【HD】1998 🇨🇺 Cuba vs China 🇨🇳 🏐 Women Volleyball 🏐 FIVB World Championship

1998 World Championship held in Japan. 16 teams split by 4 pools (A to D) and then combined two pools (AD & BC) by round-robin. Each combined pool top 2 rank go semi final. Top 8 teams played 8 matches in total until tournament ended.
1998 was Jenny Lang Ping last year of head coach during 95-98 cycle. China team journey in this tournament was full of excitement. Lost to South Korea made them almost cannot enter final 4. Semi-final vs Russia was an overwhelming straight 3-0 victory.
Post-Match Commentary :
China lost to Korea in round 1 and this was the round 2 game. Cuba and China were in good relationship as both coach knew each other and work togther before. Lang mentioned in her book that there was advised to ask her to talk to Cuba coach privately to let China won as Cuba will definitely go to the semi-final.
Of course, it's rejected by Lang immediately as it violated the spirit of sports competition. Facing this dream Cuba team, Lang not using all the key players and changing the forms as the chance of winning Cuban was low. Prepared the rest of the match was the most important. Even 0:3 lost but watching Chinese player fight for each point is still very a good match.
