Everybody keeps comparing Basim to Bruno Mars, but here's just a little information;) Basim is a well known singer in Denmark, because he joined the 2008 danish xfactor as a teenager and came in 3rd! Bruno Mars didn't sign his contract before 2009, so isn't it Bruno Mars really supposed to be a Basim look a like? ;)
Still listening to this banger 8 years later. Such an amazing catchy song! This is what every host entry should strive to be in my eyes. A perfect masterpiece that is one of my fave entries from them ever probably.
A shame that he doesn´t sing so much anymore, even that he still comes out with a single now and then. But he still composes a lot of music, also for other artists and he is very good at it. But it has been years since he last had a concert.
hehe I am not sure that the DR company could have handled next years event since they did go over the bottomline with about 70 million Dkk witch means it was 170million insted of just only 100million as far as I'm aware so I mean true it would have been a fun fact if Basim had won it and had to host it again next year but I don't think that DR would have had been able to get that amount of money to next year in publich licens and yep we are paying someware way to much in that compared to what type of tv that they make the rest of the year :-P witch is't allways that good :-) and I did say to other people around the contrye that I did hope that DR did't screw this up as they did the last time we hosted it but at least one thing was working more or less that is and that was the lights :-) witch is from the Danish company called Martin aka "Martin by Harman"

This was an absolute blast to be there for. This was the one song apart from the Greek song that had the whole audience on its feet. Still remember the call-back "whoa-oh-oh" from the audience. Eurovision 2014 will always be one of my happiest memories.

I haven't stopped singing this song in my head and I love it and I don't know why! The blonde dancer is so fantastic, It's rare to see that much energy, commitment and pure talent.
I got to experience this song live at the family rehearsal, and I swear there was something magical about the way the entire venue sang along. There was many, many Danish families, so it made sense, but never the less, I have never felt more patriotic, then when I sang that silly song with thousands of other people :)
Aw. This makes me think about my Danish exchange student I had on Bornholm. We used to dance around the house and in the car to this song all the time. I miss her so much
I think we did a great job! We are such a small country, yet we have resources and talents to create something so big and show what WE can do. The scene was, according to me, by far the best for many years and the hosts were fantastic - except for the slightly poor China jokes. ;-) Great job DR and ESC! Thank you for this years great event. Proud to be a Dane!
