It is hilarious to read the comments of people here who claim to be able to build a PC gaming machine for much less. Those of us who do buy a MAC, pro or not, don't buy them to play games. We buy them because they they work consistently, and flawlessly when we need them too. Our professional lives depend on that consistency.

I hope all of ur videos was in 360p Because my internet can work only 360p or less. So if somebody ask me wich quality do u wacth?? Is say : in thr highest quality possible.
RUclipsrs don't make shit for the most part, only super popular channels like this one make money. There are channels out there that get shit loads of views and have over a million subscribers that are essentially blocked from ad revenue because of some dumb ass at the Washington Post.
KILLERONROAD it isn't the washington post's fault. RUclips didn't used to check what content they dumped ads on, and a lot of companies pulled out because they were essentially monetising racist or disturbing videos.
You may cover more areas of usage of workstation while reviewing same. Video editing is not the only reason why some people / organisations buy it. You may cover industrial uses also since its review video about the machine. Some of the area I could see are Software building(compiling, build ...), simulation running for solving engineering problem like ANSIS, MATLAB, Saber etc.
WD S IF i have to guest it's about 2-3k cheaper if you go with pc. Yes the base model of the Imac pro isn't that much more expensive than a pc with the same spec but the thing about apple is the higher you go the more value you loose and the more expensive compare to pc. But if you like the eco systems then go ahead.
DEVILSDESIGN You can. But the iMac Pro has INCREDIBLE processing power, and rendering high graphics videos would go much faster. Also, you'd really only edit on your phone if you shot the footage with your phone.
A real video editor's dream machine! I think Apple came out with the iMac Pro because they saw a lot of professionals were using the 27" Retina display iMac, which was a REALLY powerful Mac desktop then (and still is today, though not as much as the iMac Pro.)
They exist for a reason, it's to separate you from your surroundings. If you're doing things that benefit from a large span with minimal bezel (like gaming) then this isn't for you, but for actual content production it's better than razor thin bezels as it aids concentration. I have a Dell UltraSharp UP2716D hanging off my 27" iMac. Despite the Dell display being more accurate I actually prefer working on the iMac display because it's easier to concentrate. The bezels are just far too thin on the Dell display.
@@TalesOfWar you are just an apple fanboi who can justify to himself any nonsense that apple makes, no matter how bullshit it is >easier to concentrate kek
People who hate apple products, its not for gaming. On the website it does not have gaming anywhere on it. When buying it and selecting the parts its does not have an option to bundle games with it, it has Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X not games. Mac is for workstation use not gaming and yes it can run some light games, any computer can so stop your crying and of you want to play games go to pcspecialist or better yet go to amazon and build your own.
WillsTechReviews actually with a vega 64 u can run pretty much any game u want, not at 5K but 1440P at high it sure can. But of course ur not purchaising it for gaming.
Tasso gamer True but I got my information from linustechtips when he did a review on it but even still you have to agree that apple needs to have more choice of graphical processors because people would love something like a GeForce GTX 1080 in there 10K iMac
Why? The Vega 64 outperforms the 1080 in pretty much everything you'd actually buy this machine for. Especially things that require extra floating point precision.
TalesOfWar 1080 is still a very capable GPU but overclocking may be a good idea because I have a gtx 1060 in my rig and I overclock to 2035MHz at 1080p with ultra settings on games
Pretty bad ass if you ask me. People shouldn't be all that shocked at the $13K price tag. After all, the NeXT Cube computer was priced at $6,500 in 1988 which is equivalent to $13,400 these days. These are definitely machines meant for professional studios doing the kind of work you're doing. It's super impressive and cool to see in action with Final Cut. I'm still editing in Premiere on an AMD Phenom II quad core, so I can only imagine how amazing it feels to edit on a proper machine. I'm also impressed to see enterprise server-grade hardware in that thing. The Xeon being the first giveaway, and the ECC memory. What a difference that stuff can make in terms of reliability. The real test is TIME! I'm curious to see how long a machine like this will actually last without some major component going bad and causing an Apple tech to come out or ship the machine back for repair. Either way, glad to see that they're still making super high-end machines to satisfy the needs of creators. Thanks for sharing :-)

Radeon GPU are simply horribles and not compatible with all the lastest render engine. It's a shame that Apple remain stubborn are producing expensive Facebook machine
@@PavelUrusov I just had a damn long laugh... thx for your nonsense xDDDD
(And yes, you can... like... easily 2.000 to 5.000 less for stronger components with a normal build PC...)

😅😅😅
That's a hell of a beast machine and hell of a price
Tech Thusiast you’re fast in every comment section dude lol
People don't know the difference between expensive and overpriced. The iMac is very reasonably priced.
Lover Of Tech lol how's the pixel 2 comparison coming along?
ConnorHD3 Theese Macs are priced reasonably, but you'd get upgradebility, futureproofing and better thermal perf. with a simillarly priced PC
This thing, as with all things Apple, is overpriced.
$15,000 for a $3,000 machine. Apple customers...geniuses.
Whats up guy , MKB360P here .
Caught you on the H3 Podcast and have been a fan ever since. I love how genuine you are with your reviews! On this platform being genuine is compelling. Cheers mate :)
i'm really glad that apple finally tried really getting to the professional side of creators making the new imac a sort of a workstation for once rather than inferior hardware in a fancy case
CalculatinGenius its still inferior compared to what you can get for the same prices
CalculatinGenius The Mac Pro case was pretty freaking great though. But yeah, ancient parts.
Lol Linus did a video comparing if you to buy each part, it would actually cost a lot more and you'd have a big case instead.

Hi
It would be awesome to see a 2022 review of this iMac Pro! 😄
360p!!!
Is it good?
Yes
For the price?
No
Huy Tran For the price? Yes.It’s just not for you.
agree
RAM ~2500$ appx,Processor ~4000$,Vega 64 ~1000$,Display ~1500$ + There is much more stuff than this.
Actually, it would cost you a few hundred dollars more to buy all the internals on your own. Linus Tech Tips just did a video on this
Andrew Wadsworth But what i build will be upgradeable. I won't have to buy another machine.
360p squad!
From the glorious golden age of youtube!
you know you're rich when you invest in a 13k setup and still thinking about buying the new modular mac pro on release date. daam gimme some of dat money bruv!
I hope all of ur videos was in 360p
Because my internet can work only 360p or less.
So if somebody ask me wich quality do u wacth?? Is say : in thr highest quality possible.
1440 works well for me
Power is out, and I have to watch this in 360p on purpose.. It's almost not worth it..
Mario S why is your power out?
Hope ur power is back.

for those of you who have never played Rocket League, an average Rocket League game lasts 4.67 hours. You're welcome.
Damn you must be good if you last 4.67 hours in overtime
What? No it doesn't lol
Oh really. That puts things in perspective. TY

Nah
It was a trap *Last Year* Right
lol when you become so rich from youtube money that 13k is cheap for you
Weijie Yao youtubers have way more money than you think
RUclipsrs don't make shit for the most part, only super popular channels like this one make money. There are channels out there that get shit loads of views and have over a million subscribers that are essentially blocked from ad revenue because of some dumb ass at the Washington Post.
KILLERONROAD Washington Post? WHAAT?
KILLERONROAD it isn't the washington post's fault. RUclips didn't used to check what content they dumped ads on, and a lot of companies pulled out because they were essentially monetising racist or disturbing videos.
Philip Mario who are you telling? He literally just said that
You may cover more areas of usage of workstation while reviewing same. Video editing is not the only reason why some people / organisations buy it.
You may cover industrial uses also since its review video about the machine. Some of the area I could see are Software building(compiling, build ...), simulation running for solving engineering problem like ANSIS, MATLAB, Saber etc.
13k for iMac?! Goodnight folks
Andrè Bryan lol
okay
😂😂🤣👌
for similar specs on a PC the price will not be that far tho LOL
WD S IF i have to guest it's about 2-3k cheaper if you go with pc. Yes the base model of the Imac pro isn't that much more expensive than a pc with the same spec but the thing about apple is the higher you go the more value you loose and the more expensive compare to pc. But if you like the eco systems then go ahead.
Still.. out of my price range.
Shaumi Mehta wayyyyyyyy
out of most peoples price range. lol

damn, this seems like a real beast! i would love to be able to edit my youtube videos on this one...
Wolkify You can. You can just build an AMD Threadripper PC with Windows for 1/10th the price.
Wolkify can't we edit RUclips videos on your phone?
How can Edit Videos on Phone...? -_-
Exile cannot? I thought you could. Idk I'm not a youtuber
Its March 2021 and Apple discontinued the iMac Pro after 1 generation. IT WAS A TRAP
How about Hackintosh(Core i9) vs your iMac Pro Video !!?!!?
6:32 that reverse speed tho 😂

should i sell a kidney to buy this?
EpicMarshm4llow 1 kidney isnt enough you might need 3....
Yes
Indah Permatasari i know thats the joke u need more than 2 kidneys....
Better call up some friends and see if they be willing to give one thier kidneys up might say yes cause it's for an good cost.
U should sell your brain & soul too to Saint Steve Jobs
128GB DDR4 with ECC? That's not a user computer at all.
We should benchmark against servers rigs in the same price range.
10/10 video btw!!!
Your presentations are always very professional Marques. Well done.
When are you gonna Matte Blackify it?
*Woot the Mac's up with huge 4ss bezels in 2018...*
@@TalesOfWar you are just an apple fanboi who can justify to himself any nonsense that apple makes, no matter how bullshit it is
>easier to concentrate
kek
I feel Admiral Ackbar would disagree with your title.
But, great video Marques!
These reviews are the best, I like how it's both informative and comparative
"it's pretty damn good" - so it should be for $13k!
I clicked because of the damn good thumbnail
To be fair you can't even run anything remotely modern with what would be considered "top tier visuals" with dual Titan's at 5K.
I'm loving the minimalism man!
