- Minecraft Survivors VS Sculk Invasion. I made a Minecraft mod based on the Deep Dark for the Wild Update showcased in Minecraft Live 2021 where players can actually become similar to the warden, hearing vibrations and seeing movement only! This mod is a unique take on Minecraft manhunt, with the speed runner / speedrunner or runners need to collect ender eyes through catalysts, and where the hunter assassins are part of the deep dark sculk. This is super intense, thrilling and unpredictable!

You should try this with proximity chat. You could have the skulk in a group so they can talk to each other every where.
And using the proximity chat as a survivor would reveal them like making a normal noise, with detection range depending on how loud their voice is
the skulk just speak normal and the survivors hear *HWREJGHWOWMHOUC*

my only complaint here is that the shulk trackers can see very clearly
feel like it would have been way more fun if they were almost blind with them using the vibrations and subtitles to navigate only being able to see outlines of blocks and entities around them in a 4 block radius or smt

@Tanmay Jain yeah but a little less extreme. Blindness would be hard but they could do something like remove the color from blocks so that everything is hard to see.
Maybe something like the view of SCP-939 in SCP Secret Laboratory. Like he sees in black and only the outlines of objects are white. Probably hard to do in Minecraft tho

At 1:52, the entities flicker into view, and a pulsating circle shows noise ‘vibrations’ showing the entity until they make noise. They can see anything except entities.
Yeah, I agree. If they were to make another video, there would need to be some balancing done to make it a bit more fair, like maybe the skulk mobs and players dissolve in water? Also, I agree. Their sight is ridiculously good for something that should only be able to hear.
It would be unfair, but what I imagine skulk sight being like, is you can only see things that are moving and making noise. Maybe you can see the outline of things in the distance that are making noise, and otherwise you can only see in a small radius around you?
I love this so much! I've been playing on a friend's server with the Origins mod and I chose to be a Warden Origin; however, that compares nothing to this! Amazing stuff!

i would also like to know which mod it is cause I've seen a few origin mods but i dont think i've seen one about the warden
Yeah like i play on bedrock with the origin mod as a sculk related origin but this looks so much better. I hope someone eventually makes a bedrock version of this, i would love to play this.

well, when I hopefully have my jobs training done and be officially hired(I dunno if my training is paid training, but I'd hope so lol.)
wish I could make mods, I'm not good at reading code stuff, nor memorizing it, I'd SO want to make sculker styled origins myself, maybe some origins that are like "co-op" origins where an origin can benefit from another player origin too.
*essentially example for this would be a sculker origin with a warden origin as a "coop" origin duo.*

I would love to see a sequel to this where we mainly follow the skulk players, I think that could be a lot of fun! I also definitely can see you getting rather large following soon especially with more colabs like the one on 8 sided squares channel. I wish you the best!
wow i have watched so many manhunts on youtube, and this one is the perfect mix of unique, balanced and obviously not staged. Great work! I would definitely buy a rank on a server if they had this game.
The thing I like most about this one (and absolutely loathe and hate about the others) is that this one doesn't have them blowing out the mic and screaming.

@@ScottTheTree they still cant use much blocks and have low health, and we can still go underwater and sneak so they cant fell us
@@tlank7933 yes, but when all u gotta do is kill the non skulk with no way for the survivors to turn them back, it instantly becomes one sided since the survivors now have no way to win

I like how the throwing eggs/snowballs trick works. It's just like actual Wardens. XD
They should make it so you can’t see the players when they move only the vibrations so you can properly confuse them with sensory overloaded
Being around wool blocks should reduce the vibrations being sensed by the Sculks.

Looks pretty good, but I think that the skulk growth is a little too rapid for how quickly it recovers from damage.

I was about to dislike because it was just a zombie hunt with a fancy name, but the fact that they can't see you if you're invisible makes it actually sculk. Thanks for the attention to detail.

This is a blast
To be honest, I think the sculk is a bit OP here.
They have basically auto-respawn, they come in large teams, they have no slowdown, they can sense a player through walls, they deal a shitton of damage and the catalysts can spawn underground which guarantees that it can't be found and subsequently killed.
Sculk mobs also don't have the "invis if sneaking" vision, which is basically a tracker for the sculk players.
Another thing to mention is that the catalysts spawn EVERYWHERE around the survivors ALL the time, so there's no way to run away.
There is actually. Had a blast helping to test this mod, and even tho the chances are slim, it's entirely possible to locate to fortress. Haven't had much luck with entering the end, but Survivalists had pretty much zilch cooperation. Eight did great, he got really close, and if there were more compitent players, the game might've been won by Survivalists. Sadly, didn't happen, everyone parted their ways too early..
I like to imagine these skulk videos are cannon in the minecraft universe. You see the second one is a prequel

i think it would be really cool if the deep dark hunters could only see what they've explored (landmarkwise)
what i mean by that, is say you've just spawned in.
you won't be able to see anything, except for anything 5 blocks around you. everytime something makes sound, you get to see 10 blocks around where that source was. (and you get the pulse thing too)
and basically, now lets say you've explored a bit.
you would be able to see what you've explored, but it would slowly dissipate due to memory loss,
but only slowly.
oh, you would only be able to see blocks by the way. not entities.
...at least until the entities make sound.
the amount of blocks seen around an entity making sound could be determined by the sound of the source in the first place.
overall, i think just being able to see terrain like that would be really cool.

OH MY GOD-- that Spiral Knights music at 11:45 sent me back, man... Played that so much as a kid, really wasn't expecting it. The composer is Harry Mack. Kinda feels like that should be in the description somewhere... but eh.
Neat concept but the skulk catalysts are too easy to replace to be worth anyone's time. Should probably be more of a cost of losing a skulk catalyst, or most of a cost to create one. The time it takes to destroy one of them, two more can be made. It's not exactly well balanced.
it could be good if they can't place another in a long range so they manage a lot better when and where they put it
