This old Council Model shown had a great Short Wave built it. And Fibber and Molly sounded great coming in every Tuesday just after Mom finished the supper dishes. We all parked ourselves around it and enjoyed every episode! Thanks for the memory.
The interesting thing came in the first few minutes of the program, when Molly said there must be something to all of the sightings--"where there is so much smoke . . . ." That was 1950, three years (supposedly) after Roswell. Today the military has all but admitted the things are real. Molly et al back in March of 1950 wasn't far wrong.
Pre-Spielberg and Geo. Lucas...Fibber and Molly and the gang were onto the Sci-fi scene before it was fashionable. Lord, but did Gamble and McGee loathe each other ...I would not be surprised if they did not challenge each other to a duel!
Love these old radio shows 😊
The Army in their fancy uniforms, brings along a drum to take the saucer over to!

Clever, the way something of a comedic story line was woven into this Johnson's Wax commercial.
Fibber McGee & Molly did a good job with these commercials. Sometimes with these old shows you want to actually listen to the commercials.
A little old time fun from my Mom's era
"Oh I'm not a boy scout I'm a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force ma'am... Retired!" Haha
Good audio quality!

This program gave more smiles than what we have today.
