Thanks for the memories. My godfather got me this for Christmas back in the 80s. He had many adventures with Metroplex and voltron. Of course like most children of the 80s, my mother donated it or threw it out. I did manage to get myself another voltron as he was my absolute favorite. Maybe one day I'll find myself another Omega Supreme and Metroplex.
This is my favorite Transformer of all time with Optimus Prime a close second. This is why I never bothered to get the Siege one. As great as it is the G1 Omega holds all the nostalgia for me. Complete with the box this is the pride of my collection. Great review.
I saw his first appearance live as a little kid and must have seen that season 2 opener thousands of times. I just now noticed, with you pointing it out, that he crushes blitzwing. Unbelievable. How have I never noticed!!!
I’ve always wanted Omega Supreme. Luckily i was able go get the Siege Omega. Too bad it wasn’t mechanized though. One more year & G1 Omega will be vintage 🤙🏼

@@Hot.Rod0311 its already considered vintage. Great job buddy! Always loved Omega Supreme. Still have my OG and I haven't opened my Siege figure YET. Reminds me that I need to get around to doing a part 2 Retrospective of Omega with all the Sentinels (aka Guardian Robots) in the future.
Wow...I used to have Omega 😊. Well kind of...... In the Uk back in the 80's certain Transformers were either very rare or just not released here. So i had to make do with (if memory serves) was a Grandstand version of him. The colours were slightly different but other than that it was exactly the same. Same thing applied to my old Radio Shack version of Shockwave .
I did a complete cleanup and restoration on my G1 omega about a year ago, and I went to Shapeways and bought replacement drums to fix the broken ones that allow him to walk. They were inexpensive and pretty easy to install. if you Google Omega supreme repairs there is someone who’s posted how to switch out and replace the drums. You’ll have that gimp leg fixed and working in no time.
I never had him or saw him in the Ames when I was young...to tell you the truth I remember so much of my childhood but taking bots out of packaging in the 80s, odd. Awesome review... awesome sauce to you.
This was my favorite g1 toy. Oh, the outer leg armor actually slots in to specific parts on the tank, so they stand solidly. They’re not supposed to hang loose like that. It’s an easy to miss detail.
great video, great tip on the tank treads. I just purchased a complete omega (no box) but has instructions on Whatnot today for $45. super excited to get him in my collection.
Thanks for the video Prime. As to the Mystery of OmegaSupreme the answer is simple. Primus, in his great wisdom, seared the galaxy with Omega class bases so that Omega, and any other Omega Guardian, could land safely and assume robot mode.
one that always puzzled me as a kid, I never saw the toy in the wild or even a picture of the toy. Sitting there watching the show trying to work out what the heck is going on with his transformation
I believe you're supposed to put the inner thigh large track first to lock it in place to not move, then the outer thigh, tabbing over the yellow part. His "pants" shouldn't move independent to the torso. The walking is done by the legs in the pants. It's possible that the right leg is broken but it's also possible that the pants aren't on firmly.
Well as with all the pre-movie bots, the toys existed prior to the cartoon. Sunbow and Marvel just added details to make the animation model look better. Aside from a face, they also gave Omega thighs and more articulated claws
Hey if you get your g1 transformers off of eBay if you do do you get them without the stickers because when they have stickers there usually worn out and it makes the figure not look that good do you do that
I've always liked Omega, but his alt-mode has always confused me.... Not that I don't like it. A defense base is a cool alt-mode. I just wonder how the rocket section takes off and somehow takes everything else with it, since it always vanished and appeared in a cloud of smoke. I mean, that episode of season 3 that showed his rocket section splitting him half in everything else came out, but that just raised even more questions! Personally, I think it would be cool if he had some big combined space cruiser mode for him to have all his parts with him when he has so go to another planet. Honestly, the Transformers: Animated incarnation turning into a spaceship was a great idea. Hope Hasbro eventually makes a titan class figure of that one!
I still have my 85 Omgea CIB I also got the Tommy Takara Encore one. He is my farvorie G1 TF. LOL I also have a complete loose one because Im a idot LOL
I am A G1 all the way and the review on one of the best Bot ever was amazing thanks once again for A great live transformation.
Its a Rocket with a motorized tank on tracks, what more could you want!

I'm happy I could trigger such good memories.

Man I'm sorry to see that one leg giving you issues, hopefully it can be easy to repair, that's so cool seeing G1 Omega Supreme again, great review.
I hope so too

Thanks, my friend, I appreciate that.
You'll love the Siege one...except the tiny track.
Didn’t have Omega Supreme growing up. Just recently purchased one to add to the collection.

I do believe the cam drum is available for 3D printing.

I’m soon to own Pangu toys version of Omega Supreme and from the reviews I’ve seen I know I’m going to like it.
I never kept up on Transformers lore but a storyline evolving around the fall of the Guardians would have been keen.
I wonder if someone found a way to fix a unwalking Omega…
Nice review overall 👍! I wonder what other big guys you might tackle next…
I’m liking your retro reviews. Reminds me of better times. Adulting sucks. 😂
one that always puzzled me as a kid, I never saw the toy in the wild or even a picture of the toy. Sitting there watching the show trying to work out what the heck is going on with his transformation
Omega Supreme stands taller than G1 Predaking, and G1 Metroplex.
I appreciate the support so I had to return the same! ✊🏽. The only g1 figure I have is seaspray
We gotta bump those numbers up.
He's pretty east to fix up. I'm glad there's so many guides on tfw2005. I needed to make sure the light on mine's was working.
Other... holy grail. I need it too...😊
When I was a kid I'd always sub out Go Bots or Hot Wheels when playing Transformers because the Transformers took so dang long to transform.
Is my favorite transformer. I have the Siege figure...

I'll double check that.
I've been doing it wrong since I've owned him then.
For me, parts forming is okay in certain situations. While I love Omega Supreme, the transformation for the g1 figure drives me crazy.
I think Omega would have been better if Hasbro had either molded in his face or given us a sticker with some remotely resembling a face
Well as with all the pre-movie bots, the toys existed prior to the cartoon. Sunbow and Marvel just added details to make the animation model look better. Aside from a face, they also gave Omega thighs and more articulated claws

I usually Toyhax them up.
