    I bought tha nimbus 25, run about 100 km so far. Amaizing, very protective!!!! MUCH better than nimbus 24

    I felt that the fit and lockdown were so much better in the Kayano vs the Nimbus. Perhaps it was the stability mechanisms making me feel this way.

    • @marathonhandbook
      @marathonhandbook  Год назад +2

      That might be the case, I thought the Nimbus had the slightly better upper and overall fit.

      I currently run in the Adrenaline GTS and the GTS system 100% makes my heal and ankle feel more "locked down" no I'm not sure if it actually is or if it just gives me that feeling but either way I definitely know what you're talkin about after trying on the regular a d GTS side by side before buying. So I'd bet the extra support probably makes all shoes feel more "locked down" vs non supported shoes I'd be willing to bet.

    Had the nimbus 25 awhile now since late last year and almost ready to retire but unlike YT reviewers, I wasn’t ever impressed and felt like I wasted money, but I’m a ASICS superblasts fanboy, and just bought the Kayano to try, and I haven’t tried running in them yet, but my initial feel is I much prefer the rocker, and feel of the Kayano for me. Feels bouncier for me with a plusher upper, better lockdown, and much more comfy in every way and slightly better looking imo as well, less boat-looking. I’ve been having hamstring and hip issues and hope the stability elements will help me out maybe. Can’t wait to try them jogging tomorrow. The Kayano 30 feels like what I imagined the nimbus 25 would feel like for me, Pleasantly surprised.

    Hii, i can’t make decision between Nimbus 25 vs Kayano 30
    I will used the shoes for walking arround 5 hours everyday and i have flat foot
    Can you give me recommendation which one i must have to do that?

    thank you for this video! I have terrible pronation, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, and awful shin splints. was looking at pulling the trigger on the gel nimbus 25 as they were super comfortable, but now i’m
    confused. i’m just wearing them as a daily shoe for walking - but seems as though I need to give the kayano 30s a try.

    I've been choosing between nimbus 25, kayano 30, and 1080 v13. I'm going to use it for work as a nurse, doing 12 plus long-standing hours, with around 12-15k steps. which one would you suggest between my options?

    • @jon4715
      @jon4715 6 месяцев назад

      Only issue is that my Nimbus are less stable and makes me feel like falling forward and messes with my hip plane when standing still. A zero drop shoe would likely be better for hips/spine. No idea why these running shoes are preferred by nurses and the like. Comfy shoes though.

    I have used Nimbus series 21 , 22 & 23 up till now. However have arch and technically inclined to Nimbus 25 being neutral pronation. However will test in store and surely would like to take support from Asics expertise , fingers crossed?
    However one more additional question here - for better and strong feet many expert medical fraternities are advising for 5 Finger Vibram barefoot with less support of cushioning shoes for long runs including stability , what is your take on it?

    Great comparison. Just wonder if the Kayano 30 has the same level of comfort and cushioning as the Nimbus 25.

    • @marathonhandbook
      @marathonhandbook  Год назад +2

      Yes, cushioning is same combination of foam and Gel, the Kayano has the added support. I’d say the upper on the Nimbus is just a little nicer. 👍

      Appreciate you reply, thank you. Been torn between the two as I needed max-cushioned treadmill runner. I guess I'll place my bet on the Nimbus 25 as my first true running shoes.

    Asics Gel Kayano 30
    Can these sneakers be used by runners who do not have problems with foot pronation? Can it be used by runners who have supinated feet, or is the shoe only intended for runners who have pronated feet? Can you give a more detailed answer? Thank you.

    • @marathonhandbook
      @marathonhandbook  Год назад

      If you have a neutral foot - then the NIMBUS would be recommended. The Nimbus would be the most suitable for 'supinated feet' as it is a soft, more flexible shoe than the Kayano.

      @@marathonhandbookwhat about generally unstable ankles? I don't really pronate but more my left ankle wobbles on impact. When I run in the Nimbus after a while I feel my ankle getting weaker and a pain up the lateral side of the ankle.

    Ive been using Hoka Arahi 6 and it’s almost near the end of its lifetime (888 km). This is the most stable yet very light stability shoes Ive ever had. What do you think this Kayano 30 compared to Arahi 6?

    • @marathonhandbook
      @marathonhandbook  Год назад +1

      Personally I’d say the Kayano has nicer, more durable cushioning. Kayano has higher heel drop so consider that also but I’d go with Kayano.

      Same as with running, for a neutral foot, the Nimbus. If you require the control, the Kayano.

    • @jon4715
      @jon4715 6 месяцев назад

      Imo, the heel drop makes these feel odd for walking, like I’m always falling forward…for running it promotes a midfoot/toe strike (which is how I run). But for walking and standing still, it can’t be good for the hip plane/spine.
