From Texas USA. These young Russians do Borodin justice. They are wonderful!
Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev and Shostakovich look at them from heaven and cry with happiness... Russian classical music will live forever...
a wonderful point you make ... after all, they are the handiwork of God's Love ... Blessings
Not only these, but my own Russian Heart is overcome with tears of joy and wonder at how beautiful this performance is!
They are like little pearls. I’d like to congrat their parents and teachers.
Just wonderful music wonderfully performed by incredibly talented youngsters. A gift to the world.
... WOW ...
Wow indeed!@@ronseaberg2262
..yes indeed!!
By mistake you used the word "incredibly" instead of "wonderfully".
Fa😢ntasti!!!!!!
Polovtsian Dances was a great discovery made by me at 5 years old , time I lived beside my Phillips stereo console among piles of vynils. I heard it "millions" of times , I could never get enough of this inspiring Borodin's work.
Wow! I as well, at about the same age also but it was on an RCA tube console with great bass response that made me really feel the music. I listened to this countless times from a now long out of print 33 vinyl called Music from the Far East.
Shure, its inspiring.Iwas very inspired by Bach wtk.now get it alone
Same here, caused a great impression on me when I was about 8 , was lucky to have musical older brothers with vinyl records. This piece was one of the most engaging and that made me love classical music forever.

What a beautiful performance by a wonderful group of young human beings! There is still hope for mankind...I think. As long as we are in the hands of people like them!
Yet RU invaded Ukraine. Great music but they need to own up & go back to where they belong.
And They Look Good too.... Incredible !
....unfortunately "western countries",are doing their best to distroy this culture, this popular identity!!
@@opale1572 Que no hay musicos adultos y sensibles ?
Seeing and hearing this makes me have respect for Russia. Amazing!
It's leaders that destroy countries and their image around the world. Russia has very rich culture. It's a shame they have a madman like Trump in power.
You respect a country that is killing Ukrainian children? Shameful!
If one is American, their REAL ENEMY is in their own CAPITAL CITY, the cesspool known as D.C.
A popular song of the 1950s "Stranger in Paradise" from the musical Kismet (1953), is credited to Robert Wright and George Forrest, but the melody is adapted from this music composed by Alexander Borodin (1833-1887). It is called, in English, the "Gliding Dance of the Maidens", from the opera Prince Igor (1890). The children singing it here and the mostly young people in the orchestra, brought me to tears ... R (Australia)
They were able to copy Borodin because he had long passed away and it was out of copyright. Dishonourable that they didn't acknowledge their debt to Borodin, this would not have cost anything but would be good manners.
@@beowulf1312 What do you mean, they didn't acknowledge their debt to Borodin??? I'm looking at the cover of the original cast album (starring Alfred Drake), and it clearly credits Borodin above Wright and Forrest. Verbatim, it reads: "With Music from Alexander Borodin, Musical Adaptation and Lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest." And so far as I know, they always gave credit to Borodin for the original music, just as they openly gave credit to Edvard Grieg for the music they adapted for the musical, "Song of Norway." The only dishonorable thing I see here is your unjustified slander. In future, I recommend you check your facts before attacking people who are not alive to defend themselves. This would not cost you anything but would be good manners!
Musique fantastique.
@@OldManReadsPoetry-yc6ztunfortunately there are too many examples of American pop “adaptations” of Russian music, especially songs. The 2 most famous are “Ochi chiornie” ( Очи чёрные) and “Ехали на тройке с бубенцами”, with completely new lyrics, not even remotely close to originals. Even Charles Aznavour changed lyrics of “Эх раз, ещё раз…”
Tchaikovsky’s music has been mutilated by Hollywood too many times to mention. And very famous Glinka waltz was attributed to someone else. I could continue, but hopefully, you get my point.
These children are so talented. I have seen adult symphonic orchestras give it barley enough justice but these children would make Borodin simply proud.... I can't believe no stand up ovation.
They are truly wonderful as is the piece. X
Great civilization is no doubting, the one which occupies his children in such complex art, at such tender ages…
We can’t ask for more perfection, can we?
My best congratulations to you all.
Stand-up ovations are an American thing.
@@drewmcmillan3462 Thanks a lot!🤝👍🇷🇺
@@tomarmstrong1281 Too bad, these kids deserve a standing ovation with all the bells and whistles!
What a performance! I'm in love with these kids and these young musicians.
May Russia be blessed for having offered the world so much beauty, emotion and talent.
May Russia as well be damned for the criminal war it has unleashed in Ukraine, for the genocide of Ukrainians.
We are fond of you too, patron.))
@@irenamoiseykina7724 Thank you so much! I'm touched ❤
Happy New Year! 🎄
If they would only stop attacking their neighbours..
😊
Beautiful, thank you Russia from Atlantic City, USA
Bravo for a fabulous performance. These children are passionately talented. The marvelous voices and the excellent orchestra.
When children become angels. Extraordinary performance. Musicians at their best.Beauty beyond words.
Just superb. UK.
I first heard this at a Prom concert about 70 years ago, the start of my lifelong love of Russian music, and admiration for Alexander Borodin, full time professor of medical chemistry and part time composer.
Yes, it is amazing to think that this wonderful piece (and many others) was composed by a professional chemist who wrote music as a HOBBY! What a gift he had!
U.k. Never underestimate the capabilities of the young. These have my highest respect. Absolutely Glorious .
The emotional involvement of some of these young singers is mesmerizing.
They obviously feel the power of the piece and, I suppose, sense the Russian soul that permeates the music. Astounding !
That's so true! It is refreshing to see such feeling and expression. One can easily see the same expressivity in the instrumentalists as well! Both conductors deserve a lot of credit for inspiring their students.
and Amazing...@@danawinsor1380
Being here in USA--Severance Hall, home of the Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus--I have NEVER heard better! BRAVO! Such passion and crispness!
I cannot stop crying over the beauty.
8:05 - Its beautiful how the head of the choir, Madam Groshenkova, opens her arms wide to inspire the children and bring out the main theme.
I am mesmerized. amazed and... absolutely captivated by these children, who have proved to be as fantastic and competent as... excellent adult singers! Please also note that the great orchestra here has a number of young players!
Superb... It’s been 55 years that I listen to this sublime score of Borodin, and the chance to have seen him heard and danced by the Kirov, what happiness, these young people are the unfailing next generation of great and beautiful Russian culture. Thanks to them.
Two times in my life I was tempted to learn Russian: the first was when I had a huge crush on a girl from Nizhny Novgorod in my international exchange year. The second was when I listened to the Polovtsian Dances for the first time.

Amazing performance. They are worthy of their ancestors.
Such extreme youth / Such flawless musicianship.
To to see those young children give of their best was great to see, they were so driven and totally immersed in their music making, unselfconscious and engaged, well done and thank you.
How nice that you notice that these children are "young" - to me they looked like centinarians....
My favourite work by Borodin and brilliantly played and sung too. The power that comes from this piece is amazing
One of my favourite pieces and sung so beautifully and played by young people. First class.
So lovely, powerful, expressive, and dedicated! Wonderful to see Moscow's finest hard at work, delivering beauty!
What a beautiful group of young people and children performing so well.
An amazing performance! By children no less! One of my (many) favorites. This particular version
is one of the best I have ever heard. From Michigan, USA.
Surely!!!
The sound is too perfect to be recorded live. It’s dubbed and synched.
When you realize your parents did absolutely nothing with you as a child.
Don't don't don't don't... get me started. I really wanted to play piano at 8, and could never access one until are 21.
😂
Absolutely magnificent
Absolutely Gorgeous! Every single one of these talented children and their dedicated teachers. Bravo, Brava, Bravi!
Great playing and singing, congrats to the children and the choir director!
When I taught upper elementary math 50 years ago, I used to play recordings of my classical favorites. Many kids picked up on it and developed an enthusiasm for such fine music. This YT selection is off the charts! I'm sure it could leave a beautiful lasting impression on any young people fortunate enough to experience it.
Your disorder is called narcissism🤓
Greetings from South Texas! It's amazing to see young people performing with such high quality. In our part of the USA, classical music has been done away with. Music here is only to make noise for sporting events and border music. Children in elementary school are mostly taught one instrument--percussion.
Marvellous!! Russia and Classical Music, what a miraculous combination. Thank you so, so much for this gorgeous upload. 💕
Ensemble magistral! Chœurs d’enfants au sommet. Bravo!
This is absolutely stunning! A spectacular performance. Very beautiful!
Simply wonderful! Greetings from Texas, USA.
Good afternoon ! Splendid ! Extremelly BEAUTIFUL ! Only Angels voices to produce such sound ! Heavenly ! Congratulations for this master piece ! 👏👏👏⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely beautiful. The children are so so good. The best I’ve heard for a long time.
Absolutely beautiful... wonderful, sublime performance, thank you for posting this video, a delight from start to finish, marvellous young people ✨👏🌟👏💖superb performance 👏👏👏✨
Completely fabulous! God bless all the musicians. And both directors.
Bravo, bravo, bravisimo!
I am moved by the ardor with which the choir director leads the very young singers.
Heartfelt congratulations!
Just gorgeous ❤ I get shivers listening. Thank you for this beauty.
Wonderful. Thank you. Beautiful children

The most beautiful music and performance I 've ever heard .

Wonderful and a special Brava to the choir director for teaching them to "soar like an eagle". This takes genius.
Wonderful performance by school children and conservatory students! The highest level. Moscow Concert Hall audience was lucky!

Great composour Borodin, which can describe russian folk musuc and turk music with sintez.👍👍👍👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹
Well, Borodin also used a Spanish / Iberian music instrument...
Beautiful performance.
Clear children's voices: wonderful!
Magnificent orchestral piece by Borodin.
Absolutely wonderful. What beautiful young people. Their parents must be so proud. It's amazing to think that all that beauty was produced by a group of people who didn't even exist 30 years ago - inside a room built by people who left this planet many generations ago. So on it goes ... 🦘

¡Extraordinario!
