    Chandler is a world class fighter and I wouldn’t have been upset if he won. It was just amazing to see Oliveria get the strap being in the UFC for 11 years and overcoming so much adversity while having class his whole career.

    Any real MMA fan that follows the sport outside of the UFC knows Chandler is a vet and this opportunity was by no means undeserving. Regardless, 11 years fighting the best of the best - no one deserves it more than Olivera.

And this isn’t a question of whether someone is “undeserving” - its a question of if someone is “more deserving”. Poirier, Olivera, Chandler all have championship caliber resumes - even if Poirier deserved it “more” he made his choice. Like I said, stop hating lmao. Most referees would’ve stopped that fight in the first round, and no one would’ve complained

      Chandler is a great athlete but I question his fight IQ at times. Like when he hurt Oliveira he should have took the fight back to the feet and unloaded more bombs. He allowed Oliveira to recover and you don't do that to a dangerous guy like Charles

    Chandler made it very competitive. He's very good. But Oliveira demonstrated some championship level layers to his game, technically and mentally. Deserved winner.

    I’ve been saying for years Oliveira was one of the best in the world before he got top 15 fights. It’s surreal seeing him win that belt. I’m happy for him. But Michael Chandler has my respect too. Dude fought well and showed he belongs in the UFC.

      I agree. It's been a lil while since we had someone like Oliveira as LW champ. This has gotta be the best feel good story I have seen in UFC history, and Oliveira has never been my favorite fighter.
