I'm not the only person who has had bad experiences with finasteride (tried multiple times, perpetually told to keep trying again and again to just make matters worse and worse) So... it hurts whenever YT Influencers automatically attack ppl for not wanting to take finasteride and calling ppl stupid. Instead of just calling us stupid and shaming us and applying peer pressure, can you instead take deep dives on how to combat ED? Like... I don't understand why Surgeons don't immediately become ED experts as almost like... a "minor" focus, and take the lead on helping ensure the patient conquers that faccet of life, especially if they're perpetually telling the patient "take finasteride, take finasteride" meanwhile, another doctor is saying "stop taking it. just dont do it. it's not worth it." And like... if I'm "wrong"... can you tell me how to win instead of shitting on me? And... how come I'm always being told "that's not real, you're not experiencing that, try again"? Like... it feels like im being gaslit over here. And... if ppl keep having the same question over and over... why not come up with crystal clear simple beautiful answers rather than blasting them? And... honestly, this guy's 6-year result... compared to being bald, i'd totally take it. If that was my hair for the rest of my life, i'd be totally happy and i'd work with it. And... i feel like there are a ton of ppl in the same boat as me who feel the same way. Why not embrace these ppl? I'm totally okay with a sub-optimal result (short term and/or long term) if it means number 2 stays alive. Like... let's be real, what's the risk? I'm already bald. You cant make my hair worse. You can only make it better. And... let's be real, my comb-over skills are god tier. if you just give me something to work with, that's all i need. I'm okay with a thinning crown, thinning mid, and a merely decent density on the hairline. I'm okay with a slightly thinned out donor area. Like... are we just being too perfectionist over here in what's considered good or bad as a result?
These finasteride sides are real. Now I’m on bringing back my testosterone levels to normal with cabergoline (as diagnosed for hyperprolactinemia and meds suggested by doc) after 6 years. I had brain fog, extremely low test, low labido, high prolactin etc. I’m 100000% sure fin messed with my body. Stay safe guys

even some men who took placebo in these studies had sexual problems, where they were not taking finasteride at all, its the fear and worry that messes up sex drive.
@aneeshb9723 The comment I got from Dr was only 2% of men have sides. I've tried finasteride 3 times last 15 years and sides each time. Always same time frame. Looks like I'm one of the unlucky 2%. If I had 2% chance of winning a lottery wad you reckon?

@kingNomad It's very common to keep thinning weather it's diffuse thinning or further progression .if you considered a transplant a good majority will experience more thinning if you don't use the two medications that can halt further progression .I found out that as well ,but now it's turned back around .never coming off .it's not that bad .those two drugs will always be sold so no need to think if they did away with it .I get away using finasteride 3 times a week and oral minoxidil the same Also use these in topicals
I’m in the same position as him. I had a transplant in 2016. I was taking finasteride, minoxidil, lasik cap, biotin. I was doing great but as soon as I stopped topical rogaine hair started falling, I was allergic to it. A primary care doctor told me not to keep taking finastirade even though I did not have any side effects. I’ll try to get on it again and hopefully do another transplant.
Finasteride scares the hell out of me. I had my hair transplant 5 years ago and it’s great. I use rogain. I went with a natural hairline and nobody can tell.
If it's been that long and it's been working out, you're lucky to not have to take fin. I've been on fin for two years, and it's been fine. No sides, but if I didn't need it after a transplant, I wouldn't be on it either.
Thats not a result of the bad transplant. This is just how it works :) Its not about where you get your hairs from, but where you place them + time - meds.
@hairliciously hello, I just saw your 7 year old video about how you stopped taking finasteride because of brain cell death and a bunch of other side effects. did you start taking it again? I take 1.25 mg 3 times a week and I feel a slight change in my psyche. And I've put on about 6 pounds in six months. I've been thinking about a transplant for a long time, but a lot of things don't fit, so I haven't decided in 5 years :) is it worth going for transplant and using only topical finasteride with minoxidil?
I think that his operation was to early and probably genetics are not good in his case. I had mine HT and they have asked me to show my pictures when I was younger and also my fathers picture too. I was NW2 and my father is also and I was a good candidate because I would not go bald anymore. It is not the same for everyone and genetics are most important and some of the guys in clinic were there for a second HT within a year.
For those of you that have had a transplant now for over a year do you have any awareness of your scalp like itching, numbness, or anything at all? Normally there should be no sensation as before any surgery am I right? 🙏🏻
Unfortunately in my country Finasteride is not legal... I started today taking a DHT blocker that is completely natural, what do you think could be an alternative to Finasteride?
You can try going natural with the hair treatment. There is a guy who made this experiment on yt with fully natural regimen. Look for STOP BALDING videos from scott nali account. There are also additional stimulants he didn't mention that people use and they seem to work. For example coffee, rosemary oil, onion juice, scalp massages, eating less acidic, less processed food and from me would be topical vitamin A. Oh and pumpkin seed oil. Fingers crossed for You guys!
MAN WHAT THE HELL why all hair transplant have to be the same why aim for a 16 years old hairline and not make a hair transplant on your existence shape

I would say drug is drug we cannot take the fin for a long period of time Or through out our life best I do is replacing it with natural things which is obviously diet and natural dht blockers taking fin jst gives us temporary result rather its better to look for long term result
