I recently did 8 yrs in north dakota the money went down to half at what i use to make so I split. I hauled oil with dbl tankss I loved the money when it was good.
Say Hi to John.E for me. He is your big boss.we used to have breakfast at a camp together many mornings about 30 years ago. He is a good guy. He knows how to run a construction business.
Season is usually Jan to late April/early May...hiring now..I got 2 offer this past week...Worley and Colville..I chose Colville fuel..(year round rotational jobs) ...now is the time guys..jump on it
There's several roads.. one out to Thompson point. The ice thickness is naturally around 6- 8 feet deep by April and even thicker on the road itself. Can support over 1 million lbs
The company I work for (AFC) does not. But we build ice roads. So there is not much an owner op would do. To be honest I’m not sure if other companies have owner op positions or not. It’s a huge operation up there. I have only seen a very small portion of what is actually up there. It could be worth looking into. There are companies out of Anchorage that might hire owner op to run back and forth from the Slope.
Pretty darn good for a prepaid cell phone.
Good gig dude, did fresh water trucking with CH2M back in 2014.... hot water plant ops, brown/fresh etc. nice to see the scenery again...
It was a blast. I should be going up again this December. They canceled my dispatch last December cause of COVID.

Like to touch base with you.
No, i am in Southern Utah currently.
How long is the ocean ice road out there?
I’m not sure. I was 12 miles inland. I never made it out to the coast.

It starts around $30 an hour give or take. It really depends on experience and what you’re wanting to do
@@TruckingLife 41-50 now with Teamsters unless u are line haul..then less
I wonder what the pay is like ? 🤔
My gross was 14-16k monthly.
@@TruckingLife great stuff, answering that Q, assuming that's the tax deductable bit. assume/hope ya make a few quid "elsewhere." xx
Why would you hope I make more elsewhere? Are you buried in debt or something? Cause I’m not. That is more than plenty for me.
Do they have owner operators up there ?
