And we are done! ..... just a little touch of white and the phthalo blue annnnnndddd.... We are d... Just a tiny spot of the pink there, and riiiiiiight thereeeeee..... And think we are done, Now I’m noticing a touch of yellow on this... I swore for a second I was watching myself and hearing my brain speak... lol Thank you. The in depth walkthru of the reflection process and thoughts on attacking them was extremely helpful. Just what I have been searching around for. **applause**
You have wonderful eye for color and detail ! Your painting is much better than the photo!! I can’t wait to try this one! Thank you for step by step tutorial Stephen!! I was waiting to see a seagull in your painting!! Gorgeous. Your joy is contagious. Rain was soothing as well!!
I want to let you know you explained so well step by step it makes so easy. First I thought it’s hard I will not able to painting. But your tutorial makes it easy. Nd you also encouraged us. That also motivates. Thanks again
Thank you so much man! I did this painting and the results are stunning! Very clean tutorial and well explained. I'm pretty new to oil painting and painting in general and this helped me a lot! I'll do all your painting with those tutorials . Thanks!
Liked this tutorial very much. The scene is so soothing and calming. I’m glad you changed things just slightly from the photo in that you created a gentleness in the movement of the water. The gentle waves seem to be causing the reflections to ebb an flow giving the viewer a peacefulness as they gaze more deeply into your painting. I must also mention how eye catching the colours were too. I truly enjoyed watching you paint this one Stephen. Well done.
This is beautiful! I really thought you were starting with the wrong color on the sunny side and then all of a sudden it was the perfect color. Outstanding! Thank you kindly sir.
Hello Stephen, thanks for this tutorial. I am about to launch out to paint the reflection of a rusty abandoned boat on the edge of an inlet of water. I'll be taking some of your tips with me. I love your conversational style, as if we are all in the studio with you. It makes it all very pleasant. Peace to you. Anne
The sound of raindrops is wonderful and amazing; against the background of your painting it is more amazing; the sound of raindrops - an idea for the next painting ?.
What is the change in the painting technique - if any - in terms of the use of a medium (turpentine, Flaxseed oil, etc.), after the picture you painted "rested" for two months for example ?; And if you explain it, how will I know?;thanks from my heart.
@@yuval483 well generally once the painting has rested for a while the linseed oil gives it a very hard wearing finish .and a glossy feel..it can be painted over no problem with more paint after that..then a quick coat of varnish will protect it for years to come..linseed oil is not really nessacary but i like to use it as it helps move the paint around and brings out the colours..
Love it! ❤💙💚There is so much detail in the reflections! Having a single object for the scene is so eye catching! Oh and listening to the rain in the background is quite soothing!😉
Beautiful will be an understated word. I love your painting tutorials. They are so informative and great learning... Can I request if you could show an iceberg and Anatartica oil painting.
Your drawing is great, and the way to explain the details isvery easy. Thank you. I see the size of the boat very fit. Please, my question is: What is the proportion of the boat to the total area? thanks.
Hello first of all you are fantastic I love all you do. I appreciate if you can listed the colors for me. I did not understand the name of most colors. Ex de yellows. Big thanks
Hi Vicky...thank you so much... i appreciate your support. My colours are cad yellow pale. Naples yellow. Cadmium red. Phaylo blue...magenta .. burnt umber. burnt sienna. Black. Titanium white..
@@EasyOilPainting hello thank you after watching g the video twice I figured out that the yellow was maple yellow.. I have many colors but I need to buy maybe four to complete my selection. How can I became a member and be able to be watching on line? This way i can learn more on line and I am sure you have live classes. Where are you at? I am in Boston. See ya!👋
Will have a go at this one. And yes send us as much rain as you can. Over 12 million hectares of Australian bush land destroyed along with homes, and lives, but we here are safe at beenleigh.
I have to just say that I am finding the sound of rain so restful....it hasn't rained here since November and that was the first in 6 months too.....delighted to report that they have rsin falling right now in the Sydney NSW region yeah!!!!❤🤸♀️
I am from abudhabi, and by coincidence i entered this video, and i felt so so happy when i saw that you drew the mosque! It looks lovely and would love to see a tutorial on that! Keep it up!
It is interesting that he does not know much at all about boats, but it still turns out ok. The “floor” of the boat is a seat, and the “little poles” are the ribs. The dark lines on the hull are chines, and would look better if he understood the structure. But I like the picture.
