Fire Emblem Warriors - Support Grinding

- I'm not going to sugarcoat it: growing support levels is a pain. The amount of clears it takes to go from B to A is quite high: at least 10 runs. This map that I'm showing takes about 3-4 minutes to do, meaning that it would take about 35-45 minutes to have eight characters go from Rank B to A.
To be honest, the best way to get your ranks is just to play through History Mode as normal with all the characters you need to get your crests, but if you need a more focused gain, then use my method here.
The way that it works, is that the more clears you do, every character on your map increases towards the next rank with each other. In other words, you'll spend less time if you repeat maps that have more spaces to place your units, particularly the World Tree missions.
Oh thank you developers: the Fates DLC pack gives an item that helps build supports!
thank you for your videos, it's very helpful. I'm just plodding away trying to get my players at suitable levels so i can unlock anna thisand your skill crests make it relatively easier :)
Using Azura's Y special also helps build support of everyone within her range.
There is now a 'Bond Blessing' in the temple to raise supports quicker and I think we get 1 Bond Charm in every dlc pack
By sacrificing 30 Silver Materials and Need 50,000 Gold for Bond Blessing huh.
So worth it.
I literally just started looking up videos for this game about an hour ago, and was looking for a video on support grinding. I ended up watching the tier list video for fun, then you upload this video right after.
I'm amazed! Keep it up!
I've done a lot of grinding and testing and would like to share my findings:
First off, there's a limit to the amount of support points you can get in one run of a map. When two characters get support points, you see a heart with a heart-shaped line moving outwards appear above their heads. When you can't get any more points during the current run or when the two characters are maxed out, the heart-shaped line stops midway.
Now, what actions cause two characters to receive support points? From what i gathered, there are 3 ways to get points.
1. Kill an Officer while paired up.
2. Heal someone else.
3. Complete sub missions.
Some sub missions give points between a predetermined character and every deployed character while others seem to give points between every deployed character. Some sub missions don't seem to give any points at all or just between the currently controlled character and everyone else on the current map.
As for how many points you need for each support level, i think you need about 1x the cap for C, 2x for B and 4x for A/A+.
A couple of things you can do:
1. Score officer KOs with the pair you want to increase support rank for. I can tell from the sound effect and graphic of the two hearts that the bond between Camilla and Tiki was already maxed out when you started that map. When that happens you want to switch to a pair whose rank can still increase.
2. Staff users can expedite the process by gathering everyone around an enemy officer, taking damage on purpose and healing people repeatedly. Non-staff users can do it too, but they only get 3-5 uses with Rowan's Potent Potion skill so they prefer method 1. The only problem is I think there's a limit to how many people can rank up in the same map as I've only gotten about 7 rank ups at once.
So some characters supports just go faster. You’re saying it takes a lot of battles, but my Chrom and Robin went all the way up to A+ in like 4-5 battles.
Graydon Haley-LeDure That actually seems to be the case. I was wondering why that pairing reached A+ while getting Chrom and Marth from B to A+ took twice as long.
I think that's designed to be an introduction to the support system. Nobody else has gained support as quickly as that pair, and it seemed to coincide with the point of the story where the gleam stones were introduced. You also get two extremely useful skills in Solidarity and Luna to further encourage pairing.
I think it's just for beginners to get in to support and the conversations
Hey! I'm terribly sorry to comment on this year old post, but I had to ask... Do you have a link to your RUclips banner? I love that image of Tiki and Lucina. Do you think it'd be too much trouble if I had the source? Sorry again for the bother!
Thanks for the guide videos. These are the ones I look most forward to.
1:57 thats is a strong corrin ;-;
Man this game looks like it has hundreds of hours of gameplay/grinding for completionists.
Can I say from what I remember building supports in Fire Emblem was a long boring grind too from the reference point of Blazing Sword. You had to work up supports by spending turns with units next to eachother and some just took waaay longer than others and the sooner you did them the better as they provided minor mechanical bonuses. So that supports are a long grind in FE:W is nothing new.
Don't know if you are still reading these and this may already have been covered but the game tells you early that one of the ways to increase bond is to pair up. Also tells you that hearts above their heads mean bond is increasing.
So the route I'm doing for this map is as follows:
Go straight down the middle and kill the gatekeeper in front of Gharnef's fort. Then hunt down the shadows and clear the map in under 3 minutes. I've been having trouble getting supports with this method. Any help?
Don't rush it, take your time to complete to Sub Missions and kill officers those increase your support points by a lot and even more so if you have bond charms
This could use some updates on Bond Blessing and the Charm that accelerates the process.
I wish there was a support list to let me know the support progress between characters. I have the 3DS version and upon checking support conversations, only A+ supports are listed.
A meter would have been appreciated! I feel like the support system, while strong gameplay-wise, could have used more quality of life upgrades, like a temple blessing or a rank progress bar.
You need to go to convoy check status and then check support level to check your character support progress.
I think they meant a progress meter between support levels (so like, a gauge that fills up the closer you get from c-b or something like that so you know you're close)
OMG there's a bond blessing!!!
-_- I think I'll just grind the characters who actually have support scenes and call it good.
BTW thanks for the breadth and scope of these guide videos you've done. I started playing the game friday (beat story mode this morning, really wish I'd known that doing so unlocked the silver weapons since I went through all of Awakening's History mode that I could with just Steels...), and just about every time I typed a question about grinding into google it suggested one of your uploads.
John Smith I’m getting everyone’s support with Ryoma and Marth to A, because Astra and Paragon are skills I want on all of my units. Then I’ll start slowly building everyone else’s support rank up, but my main priority is just getting everyone to A with those two.
I'm still salty they didn't include a support between Robin and Freddy Bear 😭
Verónica Gómez I was really disappointed that there wasn't one between Lyn and Ryoma...
How about Lucina and Oboro? I just know that one would've been comedy gold.
21Magpul OH my God the world needs this to happen
Lol the time it takes to get to A rank for just two people, I could get like 5 S ranks in the previous games. though like you said its to be expected in a grindy game like the warriors series, but it takes forever, the only character that has the most support on my game is marth and that's because I wanted paragon but because of how much gold I make paragon is pretty much useless unless they actually increase the level cap which I doubt they will, but I'm really hoping there will eventually be a bonding blessing
Do the characters have to be at a certain proximity of an officer kill to get support credit or do they just have to be on the map? Do officer kills give the same amount of support on easy as insane, or is easy lower amount per kill with more efficiency per minute?
I thought it'd take 7 whole battles from C rank to A with pair up
Hey, I have a few questions regarding the weapon skills, since the game doesn't really do a good job of explaining it.
1. Do you only have to unlock a skill once? Let's say I unlock the Warrior+ skill on an axe. Will all axes I find now have a chance to have that skill, or will they still be locked inside a kill wall?
2. Does unlocking a skill (like Armor Break) with one weapon mean other weapon types will also get this ability, or do I have to unlock them for each type of weapon individually?
Warrior+ will always only be locked behind a 5000 kill count. Getting more Warrior+ skills requires unlocking another 5000 kill wall, and luck.
Armor strike is only unlocked on the weapon you receive it from; an armorbane sword will not unlock armor strike for any other weapon other than swords. once you gain the armorbane weapon, further armor strike skills are locked behind 3000 kill walls.
Very Helpful!
Thank you!
Grinding. One of the main issues I have with Fire Emblem Warriors! But hey! I did get Lucina and Corrin's support level to A!
Was it worth it? Nope! Because they don't have a support conversation!
Why is Ryoma × Camilla so hard to ship?
Also, the most A+ ships I have is with Chrom.
Do you know what the Bond Charm does specifically? I put it on my Marth and his bonds seem to be going the same speed
For the bond charm, you'll have to be playing as the selected character for the duration of the map.Once you do, the gains are much faster.
Thanks, thats unfortunate I wanted to just keep running chapter 15 with Camila. Slower with someone else leading. Does pair unit matter?
I unlocked all the supports in Fates, even this should be a piece of cake compared to that.
Fafnirs usually spawn after Garnef creates his clones and killing all three seems to increase support across the whole map. Is it worth waiting for those to spawn before killing the real Garnef worth it or just clearing the map ASAP?
I think this aspect of the game sucks. It should take half as much time to max everyone's support rank.
Dude. I have played and completed 2 whole history maps with Camilla and Ryoma on almost every level……
And they’re STILL NOT SUPPORT A….
This game WANTS ME to quit playing it.
this is also a good way to grind silver materials
Robin The Paladin
Helped me with the damn dragon tail
Praise naga that tiki is the only dragon
Would you please make a guide to get an S rank on the Timed Onslaught to get the Brynhildr Scroll
Do i have to put all my units near me to gain support or does the distance not matter?
Easiest ways of growing Support is having the characters either near you, or you killing a captain with the teammate paired up.
I cleared this map in 1 min and 10 seconds and still takes awhile to get those supports.
How Can I Support Level Up Fast
Hello Nn Li, I would appreciate if you edit your videos a little bit, whit graphics and informatipns, so that people that doesnt understand english fluently can understand too
TheDancingVill Thanks for the input! My goal is to make these videos as "beginner friendly" as possible, so I'll be sure to make them more accessible to as many people as possible without detracting the experience.
Nn Li no problem. I'm Italian and I'm pretty good at understanding english... but wroten english lol. Not so goot to understand fluently spoken english. Just add some textlines or tabs with the core informationa
Maybe written lol.
It’s a shame that this is genuinely the worst part of this game.
