    Great job, Mike. I very much enjoyed the video. I look forward to your review of this title on SACD. If you could give us your thoughts on the SACD layer, of course. But, also on the CD layer and how it compares to the original CD.

      I am going to be looking at a few of the Atlantic 75 series SACD's. Thank you so much!

    So nice to meet you, Mike!!
    This is an amazing video to watch!!
    I have Phil Colllin's Face Value, Genesis' Selling England By The Pound and The Lamb so to me I am always pondering should I give this album my hard earned money and I say???...YES!! (No pun) it seems silly because this album was recorded so well so how much can you improve on an iconic well recorded album like this??
    I have an old OG Canadian press on the ATCO label which sounds insane but I am soooo intrigued to get this.
    I am so willing to take a chance....just like the Genesis, Foreigner...I'm like you I want the SACD as well but many times you just go for the 45rpm but I bet hands down the SACD's would hold itself well. I so want both because I love this album so much.
    The 45rpm's are truly magical.
    I truly can't thank you enough with your review here.
    I SOOOOOO NEED THIS!! I hate you but love you for pushing me to get this. Changes, Leave It, Cinema, Hold On,.....it's such an amazing album.
    I thank you!!
    Subscribed!!
    Blessings!!
    Darrin

      @@MikesVinylExperience Hey again Mike!! Yes I indeed grabbed the 45rpm. I did a review roughly a month ago.. It does sound incredible but in my mind ..or my old ears it does sound incredible but not worth the upgrade from a Canadian/UK/US pressing.
      It was recorded so well so you truly can't go wrong. Having said that??
      I am going to send my OG Canadian and stay with this 45rpm as I am not a fan of keeping doubles.
      Thanks so much for inspiring me to buy this.
      Blessings!!

      @@Darrin.Crawford Thanks Darrin, I agree it was done so well originaly. I need to do the same thing you are doing and get rid of doubles and yes some albums I have 6 or 7 copies! I don't have room for multiple copies. Thanks for your thoughts Darrin!

    Hey Mike, this is the first time visiting your channel and I subscribed and liked what you've got going on! But I was wanting to know like for this Yes 90125 review, why didn't you play one of the songs to illustrate how well you liked it? Keep keep up the great reviews.

      I am trying to figure out the copyright stuff with youtube. I did that once on a previous video and it got flagged for violating copyright. I am hopeful to be able to do that soon. Thank you!!!!

    I wish I had the mastrdisc rl version. I have heard it is fantastic. Thanks jt!

    I have the album on CD(1st gen and 2004 remaster) and once had the original RL ATCO vinyl. To me, I just don't think this album would readily benefit from the typical audiophile treatment. It has dense layers of synthesizers, drum machines, sampling and intentionally distorted guitars. It has always sounded a tad on the bright side while Chris Squire's bass is lacking and I believe that was a choice done by producer Trever Horn.

      @MikesVinylExperience  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks Trever, I too wondered about how the AP release would sound and you are correct some instruments are purposely smeared or created to sound harsh or different in some way when originally produced. I was very surprised at just how much detail was uncovered by this release. Like you said Chris’s bass gets lost at least to my ears on the original pressing but this new release seams to breathe new life into it especially on city of love. It’s a very nice remaster of a classic at least to me. Thanks again for sharing.

    I already have this SACD - it sounds worse on the SL-G700M2 than Qobuz or Tidal stream.

      Wow that’s not good. I don’t have 90125 SACD I did get the Yes Album SACD since it came out the same time 90125 vinyl did and it sounds good at least for a quick listen. Haven’t sit down and listened fully yet. Thanks for the heads up.

    the 2014 remaster of this record did not sound good at all.

    I do not feel this is fare review. First you go on about how much quieter the vinyl is. But I am very good a cleaning records. My original is so clean that it plays very quiet. Also do you have the Materdisk RL version? That version is the one to own. The sonics on that one are way better than on other originals. Now if you had a clean Rl version then that would be a proper review. I love Kevin Gray but he is not better that Robert Ludwig. This seems like a money grab to me. Why redo records that already sound great and are excessible.

    • @MikesVinylExperience
      @MikesVinylExperience  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your comment. What I meant when talking about quiet vinyl isn’t the cleanliness of the vinyl or surface noise. It’s the vinyl itself has a higher noise floor than the AP vinyl. If you compare them it’s pretty easy to hear the difference. I always clean my vinyl before playing even brand new vinyl. The original is very good and sounds great but In my opinion the AP was much better on this one. Everyone has their own set of ears and their own personal preference on how music sounds, which is great. I do agree with you that it’s a lot to pay for these reissues and I only snag the ones I like since I pay for these with my funds no discounts or freebies from anyone. I do very much appreciate your comment not all reissues are better than original pressings for sure. Thanks again

      Ha. Ludicrous statements. Buy just 1 Analogue Production 45 rpm and be honest and see if you wanna reiterate that statement. There's absolutely nothing cash grab going on. That's mofis department. You wanna miss out that's your problem.

    • @jt-hn6ur
      @jt-hn6ur 6 месяцев назад

      @@bonesjackson81 First off not sure why your coming at me being rude? Do you work for Acoustic Sounds? Second I owned a Analogue Productions 45 RPM and sold it because I thought the original sounded better. So not missing out on anything. I understand redoing records that were not done right or are not accessible. But are they going to do every record ever made? This record was done by Robert Ludwig. No need to redo. Just buy a Masterdisk RL Version.

    • @bonesjackson81
      @bonesjackson81 6 месяцев назад

      @jt-hn6ur I wish I did. Free vinyl would be great. It was the money grab part that let me know your an og and anti reissue kinda fella. Dumb statement. Mofi is charging over $100 for digital vinyl. That's a cash grab. As for liking whatever version that's fine. It's super subjective. But I have all sorts of specialty pressings. Many masterdisks. Quiex. Old mofis. Japanese blah blah and so on. I have been and almost everybody, been blown away at the AP 45rpm releases. Find me a Bad Co, STP, Sam Cooke or Doors that sound better?! If you know you have a pressing you love stay put. No issue there. But to be like oh they don't beat anything sentiment is ridiculous. Also quiet has nothing to do with cleaning in his video. That clearly wasn't his point.

    • @jt-hn6ur
      @jt-hn6ur 6 месяцев назад

      @@bonesjackson81 So you start off with more insults, thats nice. Just beacause you spent all kinds of money on pressings don't blame me. Not sure why you keep binging up Mofi?? Sounds like someone who is butt hurt. As far as everybody being blown away, I'm not. Also I never said they don't beat anything. I said when the recorrd was not done right or is not accessible then they should by all means do it. I have many repressings that beat or compete with the originals. For you to say I'm a OG anti reissue kinda fella, now thats a dumb statement. You do not know me, hello. In his video he said the original was not quiet. I know if you get a nice copy of a original and clean it then it plays real quiet. Thats what I was saying.
