    After the fiasco of the first heater I tested a few weeks ago I was not sure this one would be any better.
    However it has worked out perfectly.
    Adjustable from 15 degs C. Timer function. Two speed fan. 60 seconds cool down period when put to standby reducing stress on the elements.
    Perfect for a small workshop like mine and will save me money over the 1000/2000 watt fan I currently use.
    This one is out of stock but just search Amazon for "500 watt ceramic heater" there is plenty on there.

    Ive got one of these off ebay. It took sooooooo long to come from China I actually got my money back after 2 months, The 3rd month is arrived but the listing had been removed by ebay. These heaters simply cannot heat a reasonably size area. They r only 500w and the claims made for it are massively exaggerated

    Purchased four of these a couple of months ago. Two are already bad. One melted the plastic around the heating element and out of commission. The other one keeps going off and on. When running, will only heat small closed space, does not heat as the advertising leads you to believe. Definitely cannot recommend these.

    They are not recommended in the uk and there should be a total recall and then destroyed. There have been many cases of overheating and causing fires the grill on the front have been known to melt. Don't even consider buying one .

    • @Trevs-Shed
      @Trevs-Shed  Год назад

      The grill on the front is metal, so a big shock hazard, even more so it is falls off.

    For small closed rooms it will suffice (like the toilet), for a living room you need 1000-1500W if you go that way. Cheaper would be a lower power infrared panel heating only yourself and the spot you're in and not the room like these convection heater thingies. Could be used to heat your hands when sitting at the keyboard

    I have had this type of heater for a few years (there are so many with the same design) for heat in a chilly breakfast room, it does a nice job of heating the room. I noticed a design flaw right away of which I had a solution. When plugged into the wall socket it sticks out from the wall and may fall out of the outlet. I found a solution, I made a leg to support the bottom the right length to rest against the wall below the unit. I used a super tape to attach the leg to the heater and a drawer knob attached for against the wall. I'm sure other people have had this problem, I hope this helps. Let me know what you think

I can imagine if some one use more than 21 c temp it can cause fire in house. 30 dec 2022 uk electric saftey board recall these products thats why it wont be available on amazon

    It's no more efficient than a 1000 or 2000 watt unit.
    All electric heaters are 100% efficient.

    • @BedsitBob
      @BedsitBob 11 месяцев назад

      @@Andy-kd5or No it's not.
      A 500 watt heater will take twice as long to heat a given amount of air, to a certain temperature, as a 1000 watt heater.
      Everything else being equal, they will both use the same amount of electricity, to heat the same space, from the same starting temperature, to the same finish temperature.

    The only useful thing from this rubbish video was you told us the wattage. So it really isn’t an efficient heater to buy. If left on for 24 hours would use the same as leaving a 3kw kettle on for 6 hours.

    • @Trevs-Shed
      @Trevs-Shed  Год назад +1

      Damn sight more efficient that a 2000 watt heater turning on and off on a poor thermostat, it is saving me money and the workshop is never over heated. Yes, I can do basic math as well.
